Its just that Genshin ships and shippers are like not all the same. As twitter is the pretty much genshin fandom basement, there are people who love the straight ships like JeanLuc, IttoSara and other ships (which i may not ship myself but cant ignore that the dynamic is very interesting) on the other hand there are mostly the fruity ships that people including me still enjoy like BeiGuang, EiMiko, Ganqing and stuff. Most of the fruity shippers are chill about their otps with the section of the fandom thats into those ships. But the ones who ship the characters in a chill manner are often misunderstood as "toxic".
You see there are bad apples in every fandom so there would be people who cant allow others to ship certain characters. Like recently on twitter there was a pretty big mess going around with JeanLuc and JeanLisa shippers. More likely certain JeanLuc shippers would spam hate about jean x lisa by tagging jeanlisa along and that got people mad.
So no matter what you or I or anyone else ships, the fair decision is to just love the ship you think is the best by yourself. Going "this is the best ship and that ship makes no sense" is just playing with fire in this fandom. Its a better and simple idea to just keeping your ships to yourself and to those who also adore the same ships as you. And i personally think theres no point in arguing about a ship for too long cuz y'know. Its just fictional. Thats why for me im gonna run around with the fruity ships in the fandom cuz I can ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think the hate for straight ships is what made me start liking them. At first, I didn't ship anybody but started to out of spite. Then I chilled out and actually liked the pairings for what they were to me and stopped interacting with crazy people on Twitter and just blocked what I didn't want to see like I should have done in the first place like the grown adult I should be. Cylou/Cynilou is my current new favorite.
Glad to meet another Cylou shipper, and yeah I agree, I started doing straight ships out of spite, but then I looked into some dynamics and found good pairings, sometimes with relations ships including a boyxboy and girlxgirl I simply find them platonic, after all, nobody has yet shown any genuine romantic feelings (with the exception of Ayaka).
Speaking of Cylou, in kavehs demo you can see Cyno himself watching Nilous dance, is it cannon that Cyno likes watching Nilous dance perhaps?
