- A few weeks ago we noticed that there was no air blowing from the vents in my daughter's 2004 Envoy. After some basic troubleshooting I discovered that there was power going to the fan but it would not turn on. Time to jump on Amazon and order a new one!
This repair is not complicated and can be done by a inexperienced human in under an hour.

Great video for installing a blower fan unit on a gmc envoy 2005. Watched video then I installed . very tight squeeze for hands and fingers .Saved myself 400.00 if I went to a mechanic.
Ah yes... the contortion act to wedge yourself between the seat and the firewall to work on things under the dash! Always reminds me of those muscles I forgot I had... lol! This is what is great about CZcams... you can usually find a video to help out with simple auto repairs like this. Well done and thanks for sharing! 🤠
Thanks man. My blower motor straight up just shut off on me today, so I thought my resistor went out (Replaced two already). It's 90° out. 🥵 I need my AC back.

Could be debris in the fan or the bearing is bad
The power plug on the blower is/was difficult for my fingers. It has taken more than 20 minutes just on that.

Got it out with a screwdriver instead of pinching it
I noticed the one I ordered on Amazon, did not come with the black housing that looks to have a L shaped air vent on it. Is it fine to install without that black housing, as I tried all day to get it removed from the old blower and it would not come off?
