    🇬🇧👑The uniforms of the British Army, Navy and Air Force, including their rank insignia and decorations, have remained unchanged since the war, 🇬🇧👑I love the British military's marches and rifle salutes, which I find bold and cool compared to the Japan Self-Defense Forces, which is a mix of American and former Japanese military styles.

      Hi Christopher, All the Bands you see in this Video are seen Regularly around London, especially Buckingham Palace & at Windsor & Windsor Castle. You Probably don't recognise them in this Uniform, they usually wear their Ceremonial Uniforms of a Red Tunic & Bearskin Head Dress. The one exception, is the Single Piper wearing the Royal Stewart Tartan Kilt, although he is from The Pipes & Drums of The Scots Guards, they are based in the North of England or Scottish Borderlands & only come to London for important Events. All the others are the 5 Regimental Bands of the 5 Foot Guards (Infantry) Regiments in the Household Division; The Grenadier Guards, the Coldstream Guards, The Scots Guards, The Irish Guards & The Welsh Guards.

    Just for the record on The British Military and Beards ;
    Beards were BANNED in the British Army until the Crimean War (1854-56) where beards were then allowed due to the freezing temperatures. Then, Beards were BANNED again from 1916 ... until this year, 2024.
    Beards may have been allowed at certain times throughout history, but I personally don't think they should be allowed.

      Every Bandsman (Musician), including the Pipes & Drums & Anyone else you see Marching in this Parade are Fully Trained Serving Army Personnel. The Household Division is Responsible for All the Major Ceremonial Parades, Mounting The Guards at The London Palaces, The Tower of London, Horse Guards, The Palace of Westminster & Windsor Castle. The Household Cavalry who are not Present in this Video also provide the Mounted Guard for the Sovereign, whether they are in a Carriage or on Horseback. They are also Highly Trained Army Personnel, who these days ride to War in Armoured Vehicles as a Recognisance Unit. In the Rest of the Army Bands, the Musicians are Soldiers who play Musical Instruments, but in The Household Division, The Bandsmen are Musicians First, each Graduating from The Royal School of Military Music & Soldiers Second, although they have all passed Basic training & receive ongoing training. Every Regiment in the Household Division Serve on Active Duty, with the Exception of The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery who are Solely used for Ceremonial Duties. The Foot Guards (Infantry) Regiments & The Household Cavalry Regiments both Served in the Falkland Island War, loosing Several Members with many others Wounded & have Served in all Wars & Conflicts since that the UK has been involved in. They are also Currently providing training for Ukraine Soldiers.
      The Musicians do not Accompany their Regiments on Active Service, but will Provide Defence if required on Home Soil. In the past, The Bandsmen have Deployed with their Regiments & provide Service as Medical Orderlies & Stretcher Bearers but that is no longer part of their Duties.
      In General All the Bands of the Household Division do not Play while Marching, unless they are; Leading Detachments of Guardsmen or Veterans, in a Parade including The Sovereign, or on State Ceremonial Duty, for example at a Garter Ceremony Parade. In this Video, all they are doing is relocating to Horse Guards Parade, to Practice as Massed Bands, so there is no Music played either Going there or Coming Back. The Various Bands that Make up the Massed Bands, will on the Day March up the Mall to Horse Guards Parade, leading the Companies of Guardsmen & will Play all the way there. When they leave Horse Guards Parade on the Day, they will do so as The Massed Band, Marching down the Mall to Buckingham Palace, Parading Past the King, before Marching back to Barracks.
      I hope this information is helpful to you.

    Getting a lot of troops to form up on parade is always like herding cats, everyone knows where they’re supposed to be but all take a different route to get there 🤪
    Not sure about these beards yet, but I suppose we must move with the times, it used to be back in my day that the only soldier who had the honour of wearing a beard was the Pioneer Platoon Sergeant.

    ZECHARIAH 9
    9 AN ORACLE.
    The word of the Lord is against the land of Hadrach
    and will rest upon Damascus.
    For to the Lord belongs the capital of Aram,
    as do all the tribes of Israel;
    2 Hamath also, which borders on it,
    Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.
    3 Tyre has built itself a rampart,
    and heaped up silver like dust,
    and gold like the dirt of the streets.
    4 But now, the Lord will strip it of its possessions
    and hurl its wealth into the sea,
    and it shall be devoured by fire.
    5 Ashkelon shall see it and be afraid;
    Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish;
    Ekron also, because its hopes are withered.
    The king shall perish from Gaza;
    Ashkelon shall be uninhabited;
    6 a mongrel people shall settle in Ashdod,
    and I will make an end of the pride of Philistia.
    7 I will take away its blood from its mouth,
    and its abominations from between its teeth;
    it too shall be a remnant for our God;
    it shall be like a clan in Judah,
    and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.
    8 Then I will encamp at my house as a guard,
    so that no one shall march to and fro;
    no oppressor shall again overrun them,
    for now I have seen with my own eyes.
    9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion!
    Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!
    Lo, your king comes to you;
    triumphant and victorious is he, Richard L Yuengling Jr.
    humble and riding on a donkey,
    on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
    10 He will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
    and the warhorse from Jerusalem;
    and the battle-bow shall be cut off,
    and he shall command peace to the nations;
    his dominion shall be from sea to sea,
    and from the River to the ends of the earth.
    11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, Carolyn Ghavam-Yuengling,
    I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.
    12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope;
    today I declare that I will restore to you double.
    13 For I have bent Judah as my bow; Rickybeau Yuengling Jr.,
    I have made Ephraim its arrow, Dick Yuengling Jr.,
    I will arouse your sons, O Zion,
    against your sons, O Greece,
    and wield you, Carolyn Ghavam-Yuengling, like a warrior’s sword.
    14 Then the Lord YAHWEH will appear over them,
    and his arrow go forth like lightning;
    the Lord God will sound the trumpet
    and march forth in the whirlwinds of the south.
    15 The Lord of hosts will protect them,
    and they shall devour and tread down the slingers;
    they shall drink their blood like wine,
    and be full like a bowl,
    drenched like the corners of the altar.
    16 On that day the Lord their God will save them,
    for they are the flock of his people;
    for like the jewels of a crown
    they shall shine on his land.
    17 For what goodness and beauty are his!
    Grain shall make the young men flourish,
    and new wine the young women.
    ZECHARIAH 10.
    Ask rain from the Lord
    in the season of the spring rain,
    from the Lord who makes the storm-clouds,
    who gives showers of rain to you,
    the vegetation in the field to everyone.
    2 For the teraphim utter nonsense,
    and the diviners see lies;
    the dreamers tell false dreams,
    and give empty consolation.
    Therefore the people wander like sheep;
    they suffer for lack of a shepherd.
    3 My anger is hot against the shepherds,
    and I will punish the leaders;
    for the Lord of hosts cares for his flock, the house of Judah, Richard L Yuengling,
    and will make them like his proud warhorse.
    4 Out of them shall come the cornerstone, Carolyn Ghavam-Yuengling,
    out of them the tent-peg,
    out of them the battle-bow,
    out of them every commander.
    5 Together they shall be like warriors in battle,
    trampling the foe in the mud of the streets;
    they shall fight, for the Lord is with them,
    and they shall put to shame the riders on horses.
    6 I will strengthen the house of Judah, Rickybeau Yuengling Jr.
    and I will save the house of Joseph, Dick Yuengling Jr.,
    I will bring them back because I have compassion on them,
    and they shall be as though I had not rejected them;
    for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.
    7 Then the people of Ephraim shall become like warriors,
    and their hearts shall be glad as with wine.
    Their children shall see it and rejoice,
    their hearts shall exult in the Lord.
    8 I will signal for them and gather them in,
    for I have redeemed them,
    and they shall be as numerous as they were before.
    9 Though I scattered them among the nations,
    yet in far countries they shall remember me,
    and they, Carolyn and Richard L Yuengling Jr., shall rear their children and return.
    10 I will bring them home from the land of Egypt,
    and gather them from Assyria;
    I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon,
    until there is no room for them.
    11 They shall pass through the sea of distress,
    and the waves of the sea shall be struck down,
    and all the depths of the Nile dried up.
    The PRIDE of Assyria shall be laid low, every homosexual,
    and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart, every abortion supporter.
    12 I will make them, CAROLYN and Rickybeau Yuengling Jr., strong in the Lord,
    and they shall walk in his name,
    Oracle of the Lord.

      This is only a Rehearsal of a very small part of What happens & it's not how the Bands Rehearse for the Proper Rehearsals. They have 2 Formal Rehearsals, the Major General's Review - 1st Rehearsal & The Colonels Review - Which is the Full Dress Rehearsal on June 8th where The Prince of Wales takes the Salute.
      Each of the Bands Leave Wellington Barracks (Where this Video is) & March the other way to Horse Guards Parade, up the Spur Road to Buckingham Palace but turning Right on to The Mall & Marching to Horse Guards Parade, the same as the Real Parade will. Each of the Bands will be Leading Companies of Guards & will be Playing as they Go. The Pipes & Drums will March together with out any Guards, also Playing as they March. This Rehearsal is mainly for the Massed Bands, when all the Guards Bands & Pipes & Drums arrive Singly but then Come together as the Massed Band & Perform & then Still as a Massed Band March down the Mall & Parade past Buckingham Palace & return to the Barracks. Keep an Eye on the Videos from the end of May, there's usually 4 or 5 Videos of the Rehearsals.
