This video shows how to quickly replace the iPad mini lcd screen. This video covers the iPad mini 1 2 and 3rd gens. Be sure to purchase the replacement glass digitizer with the home button and digitizer IC already soldered on for a quick repair.

If you are going to attempt this, please remove the battery connector before removing the backlight black screen connector. If yoy dont you might blow the backlight fuse

How do i tell
MrTacoPug ipad mini 1 and 2 have a square on the home button the mini 3 has a blank home button with a ring around it that’s glossy.

I changed the screen and the lcd on my iPad and it still won’t turn on. But when I plug it up it makes sound. I do not know what is wrong with it

Buy from a reputable LOCAL seller on eBay. Approx 10-15 dollars

My replacement digitizer has an extra connector coming from the home button. Can it just be removed or what
I would remove it, test fit everything before adhering, and test the digitizer and home button function. If everything fits and works correctly then glue down. If not then you may have purchased the wrong/defective digitizer.
The Fix in ordered for ipad mini 1-2 and seems i was sent ipad mini 3 with the finger print id connector. Which 1-2 dont have. Just wondering if it’s backwards compatible if it’s removed
Have you had an issue that iPad stuck on apple logo boot loop after replacing a glass? Nothing is damaged but got that problem.
Try restoring the iPad through iTunes on a computer

iPad mini 1 and 2 are exactly the same, 3 uses a different style as it has Touch ID. Same methods but the glass is a different model

I used your instructions and the backlight is no longer working. I checked other videos and they say DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. You didnt and I followed what you did... any suggestions on how I can get the backligh to work again? (Ipad 1)
Press and hold the power and home button together for 10 secs, this forces a restart/reboot.
Hi, i tried that, but still wont work. The LCD powers on but the backlight isnt coming on. When I shine a torch at the screen, i can see the apple logo. Backlight was working fine before this repair.
Note: followed your instructions step by step...

👎 I have a ipad mini 1 and the lvd wasn't lifting up so I checked on the screen to make sure it was ok and it had cracked the lvd in half now I have to buy a new ipad
