After travelling Round 12,000 miles from Australia I had the great pleasure of calling in at Fab Rats shack to pick up some merch and Grandma Lolly insisted we go in and meet the boys. They had the FJ up on the hoist mournfully looking at the damaged locker. Great bunch of blokes, and then to top it off we got to have a fabrats burger at Archies! Life doesn’t get much better than that!
Best part of any CZcams channels is the folks on the channel doing stuff outside of the video subject. Coasting on no fuel was absolutely awesome!
Does Matt know you're stealing his tricks? 😉😅
"One mistake away from a 12 hour day" Perfect Trail Name.
Too much tire for the axle size, maybe. Great video, really like your work.
@@Fluffy-42668 When you increase wheel diameter and weight, and add more torque to the engine, you need to beef up the entire power train. Edit: and train the driver to not use the lead foot any more.
@@JohnShalamskas 👍🤣
Thanks Sean and Hunter. Running on rocks is hard. Love this channel! Rudy is awesome. Stopping to help was excellent!
Thanks Rudy for All you do!!!
Shawn's "I think we can make Richfield" became even funnier after fueling was done and at 36 gallons.😆
Maybe it really was 36 gallons + fuel in the hose + fuel in the filter... Paul just got really lucky... well, except for that axle thingy that didn't sound to good... twice!! 😂🤣
PS: What were you thinking to put a 200 mph speedo in that truck??? 😆🙃
Shawn's humor is really under-rated! Doesn't show off, totally down to earth and an awesome person. Every now and then he comes out with a dry witty comment that makes me and my husband roar laughing!
@@leeneil8754 So very true. Love his dry wit!
The FJ rebelling after getting the shiny coat put on last week
😂😂😂😂😂
Good one😂😂
Pretty obvious now why Paul doesn't paint anything he builds for himself.
That gas fill was wild. Like the old coffee commercial, Good to the last drop!
I love "TrailMater" Sean's self deprication humor. You just know he is a good soul and would be a blast to hang with!
That was really decent of Rudy to hang around make sure you're all set up instead of just keeping going and putting in a really good time !!!!
7:23 Love this sign, broken egos and stock jeeps, LOL
Man I think Hunter and Shawn from Trail Mater need their own show. Those two crack me up together!
Once when I was a kid we ran out of gas at the station on vacation. We were coming out of Yellowstone in a 69 Suburban pulling a 16' travel trailer. Truck died as we coasted into a gas station on Rexburg. This was back when station attendants pumped your gas for you. The guy came out and said "could you pull a little closer to the pump?" "Um...no"
Did that last fall on the Yukon….the 6.4 started sputtering with the station lights insight…cept I will actually one up yah…or down me 😂 ….the station watched as I added a gallon of that liquid Gold..130’ from the entrance in order to pull up to the pump😂😜😂 God Bless and happy adventures…the memories I/we make before the lights go out😃🙏
I have driven a landrover to the pump on the starter motor after it died in the driveway.....
You drove off the trail, that's always a bonus.
This is the best sound editing you’ve had for ages. We didn’t have to keep turning the music down and the conversation up for a change. Much more enjoyable!
One of the Best Channels on CZcams !!
Good, Clean and Entertaining !!
Amazing !!
James
Paul is the inspiration behind me doing my own jeep. Can't wait to get it to moab this year!!
Coasting on fumes, been there too! Glad you made it to the station. Hard to beat that feeling of relief. Great video as always!
One break away from a 12 hour day 👍🏻 haha
Wow a double axle day!! Fab Rats & Rudy still Rock the off road adventure. Thanks Paul, Shawn and Hunter ✌🏻💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤
Awesome job Paul! Bummer to see you break! Great to see Rudy pitching in to help!
rudy is a stand up guy even dose his dad matt is a dick
There's days I wanna build a rock crawler and then I see these videos and I sober up
Love, love, love watching the FJ eat rocks for lunch!!! Well done! 🤙🏽
Wild times and Trailmater kind of go together. All in all not too bad of a day. Everything and everyone got home and had stories to tell.
Coasting in for fuel. I was waiting to hear someone say "the next station is cheaper." lol Good video. Excited to see the carnage next.
I started watching matts off road first, then trail mater, then fab rats, then robby layton. Now i watch fab rats, then trail mater & robby layton the most
Matts og crew was way better 🫡
Robbie is a joke. Only good at milking his projects
@@ddracing2257 LOL they Robbie has a full blown body shop to run as well. Not just towing and youtube. I like to see how fast you get stuff done.
@@ddracing2257 you are a bigger joke, seeking attention
@@ddracing2257 milking likes and "reponse"
A mile away is still a mile away, and you ain't there 'til you're at the pump. Wow, that was epic. I've never seen anyone run out AT THE PUMP!
Even though you DNF on the trail, it's good that you show good sportsmanship when things don't go perfectly. Good job!
Big sticky tire problems!
The limit has indeed been found.
That's the spirit! A guy can't get mad about breaking toys while having fun with the toys!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Livin right is always a plus , FabRats for the win.
I gota say I’ve been a fan right from the start. I just had the privilege of spending a week in your beautiful state. A few days in the salt lake area and a couple days in Moab checking out Arches National Park. Y’all are lucky to live in such a beautiful state. I wanted so badly to come to the rat shack but just didn’t have the time so next time I am out there I am definitely scheduling the extra time to do that! Keep up the awesome content. I will keep watching. I’m not a fan of people in the comments slamming you guys about Matt. Whatever is going on there is your business and when you’re ready to talk about it then we will know. Until then just keep doing what you’re doing.
Great drone camera work Hunter 👍 36 gal tank ,running on fumes.
I love the deployment of theCloaking Devices, to hide the overturn recovery...😝😝😝😊
24:26 When knowing your certain of gravity pays off.
Great fun day out with friends, now we just need a back axle upgrade on the FJ and a long range fuel tank in the Chevvy.
I laughed my ass off when the pump read 35.767 gallons of fuel... been there and had done that coming out of the mountains in Tennessee..with a gasser... great video.. keep it up.
Extreme things happen when doing extreme things. Not all of us can handle it, that's why i watch you. Been more good times then bad times. Ty for taking us along
Thank god for gravity! Heavier new axles are in the future! Love your positive attitude always.
Fun was had by all, And now for the repair work… 😂😂😂. Love it
21:25 I love it 21:38
That's how you send it Paul, no gas in it 30+ miles to go🤣🤣 perfect send.
I love how it flexes good build
I love how Everyone is picking up Trash ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Was a hole Lotta fun 😁. Thanks for sharing
Great to see Rudy!
That was fun! Break stuff, make Hunter nervous, make Sean hike, that's gotta be a looong hill to coast so far. Maybe a can of fuel just in case.....😂❤
Great fun had by all. Thanks boys for the adventure.
Fj is a beast Paul 💪
Thanks guys, good video! The best part was coasting over 30 miles, crazy! My best advice is don't be like Matt! Lol. Awful nice of Rudy to winch you out! Catch you on the next ✌️ 😊.
at least you had some good luck ! Thanks for sharing !
I think one of the best parts is helping each other. Loaning an axel to get the ball rolling is awesome. Well Paul you found the weak link in the FJ.
My favorite part, and why I love the offroading community is, people pitched in to help, probably without a second thought,
Getting to the pumps without a rescue is always a win
This is already better than Matt's off road games.. you haven't even started the trail yet and this is grate way better organized..
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Better luck next time. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Bad luck on the trail but awesome luck at the fuel pump! That was crazy.
Shawn of Trail Mater has a great sense of humor! He's a good guy loving life.
Imo a lug is holding the wheel on.. wheel spacers are just held on by nuts..
What a trip , broken rear end parts and running the tow rig out of fuel but those memories are priceless, thanks for sharing . Cheers 🇨🇦
The old college try...tough trail...tough men...know when to call it a day.
Excellent trail running by Shawn and Hunter doing the video capture...everyone was great.
Matt would be so proud of your low fuel abilities!!
That's okay, What's done is done. Great, try. Thanks for sharing!😊
Those trepadors are awesome, also for breaking stuff 😂😂 Keep the good work, thank you for your videos !
Good times to remember on a trip. Great job
Now That's Rockcrawlin'! Thanx guys
Thank you. That was a lot of fun . Thanks fo bringing us along ,and I am glad you coasted to the gas station .Keep on making great entertainment and video's they are great
You guys are so blessed to have this terrain virtually in your back yard....I am so jealous.
Started off as a good day of fun with good friends . It went south , then a little deeper south . You kept smiling. The trip home was a little nervous, you won . In the end it will become a better crawler. At least I know what one of the next vid's will be . Thank you .
Fab Rats, Trail Mater, with a dash of Dirtbilly Deluxe...love it!
Thank you guys
STAY HUMBLE MY FRIENDS BE BLESSED...
I've done that before, cost right into the pump but with engine not running.
Count my lucky stars!
You guys have a great time on all your videos thanks 🎉
Well you win some and lose some but always a joy to watch
“Hunter Bump” 😂 I’m gonna start using that!
Thanks for making
Bigger tires, .. found the next weak link. Still, id keep those tires (the size) on that rig for sure. Well done guys. Happy wheeling/adventures out there all.
It's the never ending cycle of upgrades 🤣 At least it's the axles breaking, something that can be fixed easily on the trail, and not the diff centre grenading.
Been watching both new and old videos the past few months, y'all live in a beautiful spot and really enjoyed all of your videos!!!
Wow, pushing those trucks to the limit !! What a great video, thanks !!
I've coasted too to stretch the tank but not as long as you did and I didn't run out at the pump. Amazing ride! Thanks for sharing it with us....
Great video! Nice axle to work on, shaft slides out without even taking the wheel off.
You had fun, and that's what is important
what an awesome group of people, loved seein rudy right there to help good stuff
Episode Ive been patiently for !👊🏽
Hunter has the best job, and best boss ever. That was very entertaining guys. The important thing is, nobody got hurt, & you all had fun.
Big tires = axle shredders!!! Upgrades coming
Cutting it close on the gas😮 definitely would not have even gotten close without coasting I've done the same thing 😮 that trail was crazy❤❤
Amazing. Great times had by most
Nice Smokey and the Bandit reference. I have never watched someone run one of the off-road courses and it was very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.
Shearing off a chunk of metal like that at low speed is impressive
Outstanding video....Great Music...Love all youse guys.😊
got to love a l5p
After seeing the initial few seconds, I immediately thought..... bigger tires = more breakage = need better axles/locker. Now I'm watching to see what actually happened, since introductions are often misleading. Good Luck FabRats ! ! !
Can you put your own garbage into the tail bag for more points?
Once you pull winch line, when done, wrap it around the stinger to save time unspooling next time. Saves at least 2 minutes.
Yeah Rudy, thanks for taking time to help. Maybe the other two bonus lines will win back some time.
Oh crap..... again.
GREAT ATTITUDE ! ! !
I did the exact same thing, on the same stretch of road, on my way back from my stint in the Army in Fort Riley Kansas back in '95! I miss calculated how much fuel I needed and how few gas stations were scattered across the dessert and I coasted 30-40 miles into a gas station just over the crest of a hill I barely made! I had no idea if there was a gas station on the other side and prayed I didn't have to leave my truck with all of my belongings on the side of the road and have to hoof it! I could not believe my insane bad and good luck all at the same time! Too bad I was by myself and had no one to share the experience with!!! Later that evening after it got dark, an insane person driving on the wrong side (my side) of the divided highway went out of his way to try and hit me head on! Luckily I avoided him and then spent the next few minutes cleaning my shorts! That was a crazy trip! Oh, and I got a speeding ticket in Northern Utah as well! Fun Times!
Really fun video!
It’s awesome seeing you guys get out and play with the toys you’ve built.
And as a truck driver, I’ve definitely played the how far can I go game. Never been that close to killing it though. 😮
That was fun. Awesome example of hyper mile-ing your rig.
Great video. Maybe you need to get a 5 Gal can for just this short of problems. That Trail looked like it was a killer. Stay safe and have fun.
Paul I once put 19 gallons in what was told to be a 17 gallon tank on a Torino. It actually coasted up to the pump, engine shut down on the street.
This was great!! More like this please
