Love, love, love it Denise. Thank you for the great tutorial. The piece turned out so beautifully. I now am SURE I can mix color into most of the products I use when I do a raised stencil . Thanks again from North Carolina, USA. Jo
Thank YOU Doreen! I'm so happy you're finding these videos helpful. Have fun with your raised stencil project and I'd love to hear how it turns out for you! x
Love your creations. Do you find the spackle is as good as the brand stencil paste on the furniture? Id love to go the cheapest way with this technique if possible.
Absolutely LOVE that you share this kind of information! Generous of you💕 I’ve been gearing up to do some textural stencils and had already decided to try the water putty! All the different types of putty, Dap products, Durham, etc are what I’m familiar with for repairing furniture and walls and floors? But the products created specifically for design & restyling furniture are numerous and can get kinda pricey? So this video helps me to make wiser product purchases! ❤️ I wondered if you ever tried to tint the water putty and those types of products? It has an entirely different hardening (chemical reaction) process than say drywall mud, so I wondered if you had experimented with those and what your results were? Also- what do you think about price points on everything? The product you used today, how is it comparable to the Dap & Durham prices? Thanks in advance for any answers and again- thanks for such a great little video!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
The 'boutique' brand name products specific to raised stenciling are more costly than DAP etc because of their convenience. No mixing. Just open and use. And I have mixed in small amounts of brown paint into those products and it works great. I've never had a problem.
Beautiful project, love your video. However, I have viewed other videos using similar products, e.g. wood filler, spackling paste, etc. and they warn against washing them down the sink, as it causes clogs. Thank you for sharing :)
This looks like so much fun to do! I’m trying to break into furniture repurposing, as it’s my passion! I’ve recently sold two pieces that I repurposed, and I have a beautiful vintage vanity that I did. I’m having trouble figuring out the best places to try and sell it online! I have a ton of people looking at it, and liking it, but no bites yet! I have a vintage china cabinet and a 1920’s secretary desk that I’m currently working on as well... basically I’m looking for some advice lol! How did you get stared?
Awesome! I probably can’t tint the pink drywall spackle, right? I want to do over a painted piece that’s in db drop cloth - I want to do white over it. So if I used the drywall paste, can I paint over it say using old white decor wax ?

Would it be an idea to use spray adhesive on Stencil to hold it steady
@@irenegarcia7356 no it’s better to use painters tape.

Love this!
That looks amazing. Do you know if that stencil is still available and where I could find it? Thankyou 🙂
good
I love this. However, I’m confused on where does the black come from when you sand it down. I thought these were initially painted white?
Hi Linda! The stenciling texture I used (that grey muddy stuff I'm applying to create the raised textured stencil) shows through once sanded back. :)
She had tinted the putty or whatever it was she used so it was a real dark grey.

Hi. Can you do raised stenciling on painted tiles also????
Bello 😮
Beautiful on the drawers. Can this method be used on glass?
I wanted to ask you can I put raised stencil on top of the nightstand will it be durable 🌹❤️

Christie 1231 I agree! Never ever rinse this paste in the sink.
@@jafallica Thanks for replying. I learned a great deal of home projects from my dear Dad :)
Can you use modeling paste to and ad the acrylic paint colour you want.? Just seen your channel today- really good and
inspiring.🙂👍
Were did u get the stencils from ?

Hw do you wash the stencil as I am pretty sure you cannot put it down your sink?
Ever tried glass bead gel? Love that stuff!!
No, i've never even heard of it before... I'm going to google! :)
@@SalvagedInspirations Golden was the brand name I bought.
It is sparkley and mostly transparent. I have seen people add a touch of pearlized paint to do stencils on painted drawer fronts.
@@Professional_ProCraftinator Thanks! I'm going to hunt it down ;) and give it a try!
Brilliant idea with having both drawers together so the stencil design flows onto the second draw. Turned out nice!
Where can I see the final results?
salvagedinspirations.com/painted-nightstands-with-stencil-texture/
but its not applied uniformly
Can i applied stencil direct on wood
You sure can!

I would test it out on a piece of cardboard to see how it looks.
Todo muy lindo, lastima no hay traducción ¡
Disculpa cuántos milímetros tiene tu estencil?
Hi Alfredo. La plantilla es grande. 711 mm x 559 mm
I need same design stencil.... & I'm from india . Will u send it.??
Thank you for a great tutorial. Looks like you need another hand to help you.😀
I would love extra hand...lol!
Can you tint water puddy
Is this stucco stencil okay for canvas? How would you seal it
It would have been nice to know how you finished the piece.😥
Where did you get the stencil from?
What do you seal it with
where i by a stencil
Hi Carli! You can find them here on Amazon (affil link) amzn.to/3lQW1UP
Where can I het the stencil please
What is the name on the paste ur using.?🙂
how can i get it ? please
How do you clean your stencils?
I have a spray nozzle attached to my studio sink. While they are still wet I spray them down with water. Easy and works great.
Which medium cleans up off the stencil well??
If you clean the medium(s) off right away, I find they all clean up about the same. Once they dry on tho... different story!
Can you stain it????
Hi Angela! Unfortunately not. I'm not aware of a stenciling medium thats stainable.
Went from what? To WOW!?
Thanks so much! x
Where did you get that stencil?
