If anyone can find Gold, it’s our Carole!! ❤️😘😂
😂😂😂
It was fun to check the brocante and manor house with both of you 😊😊it is sad those majestic parts of history do fall to pieces 😢
What a treat! Thank you so much for bringing us along.
Our pleasure!
Thank you for taking us upstairs. Derelict as it is now, this English Manor House was once a true palace. How sad it is to imagine it falling to complete ruin. Hopefully, someone can save it.
We hope so!
That is a beautiful building. I wish they had pictures of the inside of what it looked like back in its day.

This is the best video you have done. I’m in New Zealand and would never get to see this. Reminds me of someone called dan’s chateau
Thank you 😊
Interesting interior that needs a lot of work. Love those stamps
You and me both!
Wow! They're going to need to have a LOT of brocantes to be able to afford to restore that place!
Agree! 😊
Your gold find is your French Chateau!!!❤️👏
Great music choice for the event. That patisserie table is covet-able! Edit: I laughed when you looked at the ruins and said it reminded of “someone else” doing up,a chateau - yes Dan Preston!
These are called "Swap Meets" in California. ❤️🙏
That is a VERY good idea: a small scale of your chateau, together with photos of what you already recovered!
Would make it easier to sell (that I fervently wish you will not need to). Or make possible donors understand what you already accomplished and what are your plans.
Hi Carole and Adrian, I can't believe someone went through the trouble to keep the building from being torn down but didn't do anything to keep it from falling down. I love the English country brocante, what a fun day out. Thanks for bringing us along. I can't wait to hear what your special guests have to say. Until next week. Love from N.Y.
Us too!
Ha, what a coincidence that I thought of you Carole when the ad for the brocante popped up on my phone! Always our favourite walk from our Alresford dwelling to the Grange, and sitting on the lawn with our picnic lunch, not an antique in sight then (well apart from my husband 😂)
Must be a great walk through the fields!!
Oooo, so many things I want! Carole your white lace dress is stunning and you look fabulous in it!
Oh thank you!
Someone should restore that great manor house and quickly!!!!!
Totally agree 😊
That was a fun vlog and I love the fact that even though the Manor is in disrepair it is being used just the same. Perhaps we could call on Dan to finish this one.
What a lovely Chateau, I know it must have been glorious back in the day. I hope restoration can be done to save the old girl, too many historical sights are being torn down or basically neglected until they are in ruins. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Seeing the bones of one of these large old buildings is very interesting. Although you have exposed so much of your Chateau, it hasn't been so exposed as this building. I love that fireplace surround in the entry but it doesn't give off a cozy feeling. It looks so Stately and cold but still beautiful. Thx for doing this, filming it and sharing it with us.
Our pleasure 😊
Do they have a restoration plan for the building? It must be in the millions to bring it back .

It must have been stripped of all its finer details over the years, or perhaps mostly at once when they were about to tear it down but didn't. So odd that they left that magnificent fireplace ...perhaps it was just too heavy. I'm imagining that the magnificent reception hall must have been filled with marble, and perhaps even marble or granite columns.
Thise two wood sculptures refinished would be gorgeous in a chateau hedged garden with one facing t’other in a niche in the hedging..
Oh my goodness, thank heavens that beautiful manor was saved. What a tragedy for art, culture and history if it had indeed been demolished!
Totally agree!!
Stunning building really hope it is rescued and repaired such a shame that its got to this stage …, as a dealer of more years than i care to remember spent my life doing the antique shows sadly no longer due to spine problems but really miss it thanks for sharing ❤
Our pleasure. Perhaps more to follow!
Were you referring to Dan and his amazing rebuild of his chateau? I love watching his channel as much as yours. You all are doing fabulous work on your buildings. I’m so glad you both are restoring them instead of letting them deteriorate more.
Thank you for bringing us along! I never get tired of hearing you talk and sharing your travels. Never miss an episode! ❤
I'm so glad!
Thanks for bringing us along. I enjoy seeing these beautiful masterpieces. Good to see you both. Miss your videos.
More to come!
Another lovely video! So enjoy going with you on your journey. Thank you for sharing.
Our pleasure!
Thank you for sharing ur visit to the lovely building and all the antiques. I love visiting stores like this. I have a passion for antiques and old items. The stories they could tell if they could talk. ❤
If only. 😊

So interesting and great find spotting the gold
Wonderful place, lots of beautiful things to buy and look at and the interiors of the building majestic, I hope they get a second life, every building like this deserves it.
I hope so too
Doesn’t look like your chateaux yours is much better x
It's the universe sending a message of approval . What amazing work you guys have done
Thank you 😊
that must be very interesting day out for you 😊 especially looking at old building and thinking wow that’s just what our place look like shows how far you’ve come with your property
Absolutely
What a beautiful building.
The stamps you showed would be an interesting decorative piece for on a windowsill or mantle.
I know exactly what CZcams channel Adrian was referring to with floors missing and fireplaces exposed on towering walls! lol. That was a really special video, thank you. The architecture looked amazing. I hope the owners can slowly repair it
So do we but might take some time! 😊
One more beautiful chateau in desperate need of restoration. Hopefully someone soon will buy it and bring it back to its former glory.
There is an endless list of things that I like from the brocante.❤
Let’s hope so!
Hi Carole, Adrian & Beth, I do like the panels and the close up of the price, Yikes! You are so creative, I'm sure I've seen similar wallpaper panels on Etsy. Sure them and you can make them your self. Famed or not, you'll find a place at the Chateau. I did find Lucy's book on Amazon and I think I'll order it for myself. Mark & Scott
Yes looked like a great book! 😊
Leave it to Carole to find gold 😂😂😂What a beautiful chateau ❤❤❤❤❤
It was 😊
Love it
Gosh they built stunning buildings back in the day. Loved the look around 🤩
I totally agree!
Seeing the new mirror glas inside the old frames really brought home how right you were to keep the mirrors at the chateau as they are. The new mirrors are rather jarring against the old frames.
100k woohoo.
What a beautiful old building. I do hope someone restores it.
So do we!
Very fitting musical accompaniment this week
Thank you 😊
I wonder if there is photo's of this place before it got destroyed. I'm so happy they are rebuilding. These old historical buildings need to be kept because it is each country's history. This place is beautiful.
www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/northington-grange/?Google%20Business&Local%20Listings&Google%20Business%20Profiles&
I feared you may have been tempted to restore this place! 😅
That would definitely put me in an early grave!
Wow memories I can remember painting with potatoes wowxxx
😂
Thanks for the tour wish they had pictures when it was in good shape they need carol and Adrian to fix some of it
Yes I agree
The carved hollowed out wood statues appear to be Lifesize Calvary Statues. The veiled is Blessed Virgin Mary and the other is St John Evangelist. They're quite antique. Would like to know from whence they came.
They looked it. We were told 18th century
@Most likely. Carved out from tree stumps? Amazing.
I'd agree. Biblical figures
I love those lights that hang in the Manor from the missing ceiling!
I was thinking they would look great in the staircase at La Ferté.
Hi guys !!! Hope you’re all doing well!
Loved that pastry table - it would be amazing to have in a kitchen or dining room. I'm surprised they let people in the derelict building because some things looked like it could fall any second. I would have bought that print block, it would be fun to use it.
I have two block prints I bought in England. They were used for batik printing.
Heartbreaking to see such a magnificent and beautiful structure like this go to waste! 😔
I agree with you
The huge statues are terrifying, like Dementors
I think they look like elves from Lorien
That would be an awesome home.
How could a magnificent building like that be slated to be torn down. It should be a crime to take down any historic structure . So glad it was saved. Thank you for bringing us along. Such a lovely English country brocante. Can’t wait for next weeks vlog. xx
Is too! 😊
So if you get anything you will have storage for your new home when you sell La Ferte. Interesting manor home trying to think if I had seen it before or not. Are you any closer to getting a buyer? Thought of you when looking at V&A card for a gift of a daughter of a friend. Plenty of Morris's had trouble deciding went with an embroidered card instead. No thanks to that copper bath :( Still working on the inside of that manor are they? scary. I did like the chandelier behind Carole was simple and interesting. The stairs were intact was surprising and some ceilings whomever takes this on will have to have a lot of dosh.
I think Carole can smell gold a mile away. Lol
😂😂😂
Is everything all right there in France or England? I have been checking regularly for the Sunday Vlog and really miss you guys. Carol in Nova Scotia
All good just having some time off!! 😊
wow just wow, Carole work Hard.. she's incredible, I can't doing that's she do, pffffffffffffff big job !!!!!
Massive job!! 😊
@ one thing I'm sure of, when you look at the ruins and ceiling of this castle, you must say to yourself that it is in better condition and less worse to repair :)
Carole looks boss!
My heart hurts when I see the condition it’s in. Maybe your next project? I can’t ever imagine how anyone can take,e it on. It’s so large. I enjoyed the video and looking to the next. Those stamps fascinate me.
You and me both!
Ahha ! 🙏❤️🛐🌹🍃🍃👍
The manor needs a Dan Preston and Stephanie Jarvis' chapel restoration team.
Dan would get it done. Stephanie would ebeg the funds, but would never complete it.
What a beautiful place!
Isn't that Paula Sutton on 1:45?
Maybe!! Very similar face
Get the horse, get the horse!
😂
The printing blocks no doubt are native to India where they make beautiful hand blocked printed fabrics.
I would love to be a little bird perched on either Carole or Adrean shoulder 😅and would enjoy being at the brocante not bothering anyone. Have a nice day 😊
😂😂😂
❤❤❤
Stripping and selling.. fun 😂😂
😂
6:50 Did Beth choose the music? This is really lovely!
Yes she did!
Lovely video. There is nothing like an English country manor. Brocante is the cherry on top. Thanks so much for showing us around. Obviously the roof has been removed at some point for it to be in such terrible condition. Can't believe past government policy of UK govts on death duties. It has lead to the rape and pillage of so much English heritage.
Gee I hope you bought a few of those printing blocks. They were stunning and would look great on display.

concrete neo classic building is such elegant, lol
As for the restoration of the manor house, if it is a listed or graded building, the government is probably the reason its not done. I understand the red tape and bureaucratic process could take years to even start. They want people to buy and maintain properties to relieve themselves of the responsibility, but make it hard and sometimes impossible to do more. I remember learning about this watching the uk home restoration shows.
P.s. Carole look up the meaning white nail polish.
Yes never seen a government actually put the two pennies in without a fight!
Seems Miss Havisham might have influenced the decor.
Thanks for sharing your trip to the manor house and the brocante, you aren't going to buy it then 😅lol, and I agree Adrian that fireplace was stunning I can imagine the manor house was beautiful back in the day.Take care and see you next time 💕🌼🤗
So true!
💙
Sell the one in France and buy this one for your English Manor House
