I dig your enthusiasm. Can't wait to see you flog your SRT Durango a bit. I bought the SRT 300 in 2006 and it has served well for 10 years and 146,000 miles; even after adding a Kenne Bell supercharger not a lick of trouble. The FCA performance vehicles are very durable and very well engineered. Now, interested in comfort more than sport; I ordered the 2018 Durango Citadel today... with the Hemi of course and AWD. I can't wait to get mine too!

Incredible low miles for an 06. Collector's item? What was FCA thinking when they stopped offering the SRT package on the 300? A disappointing move IMO, that I think reduced excitement and interest for 300's in general.
Just traded my 2015 RT for another 2019 Durango RT n I Absolutely Love it. Nothing really changes from interior and exterior it's just the hood...

Man I just ordered the Durango RT with the SRT hood blacktop edition B5 Blue. I don't know if you remember me saying I was thinking of getting the SRT Durango but the RT seems more practical for me and the family to travel with. less gas expenses plus I still have my challenger SRT.

Hey hold on to that 1st Gen 5.9 they are slow from the factory but u can't beat that look and as u see the Durango ain't goin no where!! and the gen 4s debuting in 2021 are big like a suburban so the 1_2and 3s will be sought after 1 day I have a 2004 limited with a 5.7 and I wanna pass it down 1 day lol

Driveway Demons awesome SUV but today my uconnect system went to shit. It's rebooting every 30 seconds, called Little Falls dealer and they tell me everyone with an '18 is having this issue. FCA is dropping the ball on how they're communicating this problem. Are you having any issues with your SRT?

They have a highway gear ratio 3.09 I believe. That’s a huge difference from the 3.92 pickup truck, not to mention no active intake hence the lower HP
I like the trucks better way much more room.
For Americans we prefer the stick shift but in reality the paddles are faster. If you are on a mountain type road shifting up & down, you will have more control and be faster then the stick. It takes a while to get use to but it will come. I have 2011 Jaguar XJ Super Sports 510hp/461TQ, 0 to 60 = 3.9sec. But the real speed , control is cross country , shifting up & down.

How much did you spend on the air intake, tune, and upgraded exhaust to boost performance? I may buy an RT and keep my Scat Pack Charger instead of getting the SRT Durango.

Looking into one of these Durango’s. Have yet to test drive one. Do these RT’s feel underpowered/sluggish? I want to keep costs down, so I don’t wanna jump to an SRT right away. Seemed a little overkill for an all-in-one daily driver. Wanted to keep insurance costs down, as I am a younger driver haha. Thanks man. Great POV! Coming from a 3.3l Lexus V6, I'm sure it'll feel plentiful.

With the hood vents and hood scoop, would I need to worry about rain or snow going into the engine, when I park outside?
Nope. Only way water affects an engine is if you hydrolock. Meaning water pouring into the cylinders faster than it can be expelled. Even if you spray water in your throttle body it would bog the engine down, and sputter and then exhaust it. I drove my civic into a flood and sucked up a bit of water, it spit it right out. As crazy as that sounds you would need to literally stop the airflow and flood the engine. Water injecting is a cooling solution for big turbo guys.

Driveway Demons good point, buddy, but no, Journey is actually the successor of Chrysler Pacifica, in crossover direction. Durango nowadays represents what people are missing with absence of Magnum on the market. I would be the first in the lineup for new Dodge Magnum SRT. Durango SRT even being so cool is not a car, it is a crossover with all pros and cons. I want a car, so have to buy Charger SRT Hellcat instead, with the price of Durango SRT 392. 🙏

That sounds about right. Its about 2.6% APR based on those numbers. I would opt for about $20k down if you want a lower payment. That would be about $775.
Your getting robbed! I put down 1K and my payment is right over 700
Even @ 0% APR over 75 extended term months the payment is over $875. No way you can finance a SRT durango with $1000 down and be at $775. It doesnt add up. Its a $64,000 truck not included options and tax.

Why even use the Rebel and Raptor as comparison. Yes I get that people refer to the Durango as a truck, but they’re completely different types of vehicles. Ones a meaty family hauler with a hemi, and the other two are jacked up off road machines with massive suspensions. It’s stupid to compare them to each other....

Miguel Garcia 6.5 is NHRA I believe. They also rated the hellcat charger @ 11.0 and most get 11.4. This was on the street and the best time of the day was 6.8.

Just going to point out that the wimpy 2018 3.5 Ecoboost F150 which weighs more than an explorer, with just a tune runs the same 1/4 times as the 2019 SRT Durango lol. Really, the SRT leaves more to be desired at its price level. Not much of a bargain if your deciding factor is that "murican sound" of a V8.

2018 Dodge Durango R/T-NO GOOD DONT BUY IT!! Island Jeep (Staten Island jeep dealer) is still trying to fix it for about 5 MONTHS (since DEC 2017). Worst dealership in America: Island Auto Group- Staten Island,NY BBB rated F.

sway gaston it's about the same 0-60 is about 0.10 difference in my test.
Remember the Durango r/t has 360hp and the ram Rebel and ram have 395. It's a better tune. If you get a unlocked pcm and tune the Durango it does 6.2 seconds 0-60 where the ram does 6.8 so the Durango is actually faster.
Driveway Demons but the ram has 410lbs of torque.. shouldn't that make the ram pick up speed faster?
sway gaston no because the Durango will have about 410-420 with a tune. Sits lower, AWD and better weight transfer as well as more even weight distribution.
