Is there any special venting needs for a drawer microwave that has a convection oven function? I actually have a microwave/convection oven in our RV. They are popular in RVs
There isn't a venting requirement for a convection microwave drawer. These units vent back into the space through the bottom of the drawer.
Do you think all the other brands will release a convection microwave drawer soon following the Sharp one?
Sharp is going to hold on to that for themselves for a while I'm betting... but eventually, they will allow other brands to sell the same model through their respective lines!

Maybe ive been missing something for months but I can’t seem to find any rebates on these
Remodeled kitchen put a Beko microwave drawer in ($1400) worst decision ever! Nothing special its a microwave. Got a drawer didn't want mic on counter & stove with no back wall. The control panel DOES NOT LIGHT UP & its black with tiny white #'s & letters. So you need to bend down, get real close to see anything or turn lights on so you can see.
