@@ARPat2000 Man Oliveira come from adversity and still does. When you read guys like Gaethje saying Charles ain't a real contender ^^ I mean for me Charles is going to reign on this division , he was a champ in my heart before he beated Chandler. This man been trough really ups and down , and now he's here . But to say the torugh it sucks that he had to wait 11 years to be champ...But right now he's in his prime , he was tapping people out , now he Ko them. Really this man got nitro in hishands , we don't see it Iguess coz he's thin , but man no one survived the strengh of Chandler like he did. COz CHandler is like a bear hitting you , at full spedd full power like that in the 1st round? As much as Charles is in his rime CHandler is too , and Chandler is WAY more powerfull then Poirier or Gaethje. And Charle"s gone trought it , survived , and Ko Chandler.

@@Lolife86 Gaethje, Poirier, and Chandler are all good and all dangerous. But, yes, Chandler has that explosiveness factor that, combined with his KO power, you never could predict what could happen. With Gaethje and Poirier, because they're so sturdy but are much slower.... fighters who could punch almost as fast in 5th as they do in 1st or 2nd, if you fight attrition fight against them (you give me your best and let me reciprocate it), you likely will lose.
I think Charless & his coaches know that. They will do short stretches of exchange, when forced to, but I think over-all they will want Charles to impose his next-level BJJ against them, whenever he gets into a clinch.
While any thing could happen, I think on average, Charles reign at the top wouldn't come to an end until he fights Islam. Islam is the only other Top 5, other than Charles, who is as tough standing as any other Top 5 but who is actually tougher in a clinch and on the mat. I believe against both Dustin and Justin, Charles will simply take them down and submit them.
The only person who is superior to Charles in the clinch/wrestling is Islam. And Islam --- while he doesn't have the record for submitting like Charles --- is so strong, so methodical in his ground game, once he puts his leg-lock on people, including Charles, I see no way for them to escape it. The leg lock is to demoralize the opponent. It doesn't matter how good your BJJ is, like Charles, if someone else (a superior wrestler like Khabib or Islam) could put your two legs in a vise-like situation, not allowing you to freely transition from one BJJ maneuver to another, it WILL demoralize you.
That superseding maneuver is what Islam has over Charles and all other Top 10 at 155...

I was watching this from my PS4. I just got on the phone to let you know Mr. Editor of these vids, You rock! I never watch people's made up UFC edits on CZcams, I stick to UFC's production.
Many times, the yt's editions are too all over the place and fees like it was done by a 18 yr old with ADHD.
But you my friend, with the history and the mindset of Oliveira through the 12-13 years you covered. Please never stop making these type of vids for the fighters! I love the way you did your research! Respect to you, good sir! I hope these fighters recognize you for the timeline you provide for them!

I'm 28 and have been doing martial arts since I was 7. Fighting set my soul ablaze even as a child just thinking about it. It's what i think about when i wake up and what I'm thinking of before i fall asleep. I couldn't imagine a life where I'm not in love with and obsessed with martial arts, I really believe I'd feel empty. Good though that you found the passion for it again.

It's amazing to see his progression. Growing up in Brazil, specifically in Sao Paulo, me and my cousins grew near him and heard of him and his team. Then coming to the states and seeing him in the UFC after my sister introduced us to Anderson Silva and Jose Aldo was amazing. The Clay fight was the one where he really did a complete 180 and became a killer from then one. His fighting style is like that of a snake. It's so fluid and seems without force and effort, but man is it deadly. Not one wasted motion or sequence.
