💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

😂😂😂😂 Terry the walking/ talking Hercules add. Love the surprise Craig. Also the passion fruit can be spooned out too. You eat the seeds too, like the pomegranate. Learned all this in my teen years working at the green grocery. 😊

@@HerculesCandydid Terry like it? I don't kniw about this variety, but when I buy passion fruit, I choose the most wrinkly ones, they are then ripe enough. If not, they are so sour.

Your Dragonfruit:
Cut both ends, slice lengthwise, one cut. Peel back the edge of the skin, then keep peeling, like taking off a jacket. The inside is the fruit. If it's white fruit, no problem. If it's neon pink fruit, caution: Eat in quarters. Too much pink will affect your output. Both are fine to eat, but too much pink and you might wonder later on. :)
Passion Fruit:
Wait until the fruit is wrinkly before eating. It will continue to dry, darken, and wrinkle. It will smell good, too. :) Right now, though, it's not ready.
I call the first bunch you saw "Red Bananas". They're regular color inside, of course; it's just the skin.
The other bunch, I call those "Fat Bananas". Please note- those are my names for them.

growing up in South Africa we would always add passion fruit to a fruit salad. It's delicious! Also great if added to yoghurt. Congratulations Terry on another trip around the sun. You certainly do not look like you have done it 60 times !

"Grade B" syrup used to be the super dark stuff. I remember when I got a bottle at the local indie grocer that it said, "Grade B cooking syrup" because that's the stuff you (should) put in homemade breakfast sausage or frosting.
Then one of the alphabet soup agencies (FDA or USDA) changed the grading definitions, so now you have to look for "dark amber" or something.
One thing that really punched up the maple flavor of something I was making was maple sugar, but this might be up to the company making it.
