The T-72M4CZ is a Czech modernization of the soviet version of the T-72
(T-72M1) that were made for export purposes, also made in Czechoslovakia.
The Czech Military (AČR) has 30 T-72M4CZ tanks in active service.

As i can see, it solves a lot of problems from de Russian T72, it has better ERA coverage on the front and a thermal sight for the commander, but unlike the russian vechicle, it lacks ERA or compositives on the sides, so even a panzerfaust can penetrate it, but despite this, its a very capable tank, and not a piece of trash as some ""specialists"" today are saying around the internet.
mhm, also the engine has been switched out for a british rolls royce engine. With that the tank eliminates the russian steretype of a slow reverse speed. Instead of -3 km/h it goes -16 km/h.

Hello from Serbia. I lived in Czech republic and I like Czech people. From standpoint of former military, I must say, T72M as an export version has no place in todays battlefield. Its a coffin for the crew. So far in Ukraine, we have seen much better Soviet tanks as T64BV , T72B/BV/B3 , T80U/BVM are not resistant to modern AT weapons. T72M is what Saddam Hussein had . Even with latest ERA, it wouldnt do much except maybe used as fire support for infantry, used in a way of a self propelled gun.
I completly agree, but our politicians have better things to do then making a good armored force I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's not a T-72M though, it's a T-72M1 which is much better than the T-72M in terms of pretty much everything. And most T-72 modernizations are actually based on the T-72M1 including all of the Serbian ones.
It is not about ERA, but also about computerisation and all. Also, claiming that T-64BV is a better tank than (even) the export version of T-72 is... well... brave. But the rather comical losses on Russian side are also caused by a total ineptitude of Russian forces and their terrible training. Just compare it to the training of the US forces and the doctrine of "tank is a support vehicle, with a huge potential, if played in a team". Not "oioioioi, this is a one-weapon-to-beat-em-all".
Either way, I do agree that in the end modernisation of either T-64 or T-72 (or even T-80 for that matter) is like upgrading a candle when there are LED lights available.

T72 is a great tank it completes its main tasks plus it has mass production. Tank was never built to fight other tanks but to support infantry and no matter what tank you built an AT to destroy it will be built. And those tank experts never drove a T72 they ain’t tankers there just 14 year old Indian war thunder players.
Je to jedna z nejlepších modernizací T - 72. Ne-li nejlepších ...Jenže to je už snad 20 let. A z třiceti tanků jich je bojeschopných jen několik. Ostatní modernizovaný tanky , se používají jako náhradní díly pro těch pár bojeschopných. Tankové vojsko AČR , dopadlo tak že se musí k výcviku používat i T - 72 m 1 které jsou ve skladech. Jako mobilizační záloha . Sice bude zprovozněno všech třicet tanků T - 72 m 4 cz. A budou vyměněny zaměřovací přístroje. Kdy by měli sloužit do roku 2030. Do tý doby se bude vybírat nový mbt pro AČR.
Je to škoda... Tankové vojsko AČR teď vypádá smutně, a jak jsi říkal, dlouho asi nové tanky neuvidíme...
@@smrzolin3064 žel jestli to bude jako s tím výběrovým řízení na těch nových 210 BVP . Tak asi ne... Docela bedlivě jsem to sledoval a myslím že je to pro ostudu . Ono je to i o tom že do těch výběrů pro armádu kecá kde kdo. Když se podíváme do Maďarska, tak tam ta modernizace probíhá bez problémů. Mají nové tanky a BVP. Myslím si že například: Žižka , Radecký ,a jiní naši vojevůdci. By nevěřili vlastním očím a uším..

@@user-hm7nu9vj8y если вы про пакет брони, то он называется DYNA. Он был разработан в Польше. T-72M2 Moderna имел аналогичный пакет брони под названием DYNAS.
