    Has it been tuned in the Dyno yet. What power was this making purely of the turbo and fuel upgrades. ? I have a pwg n55 too and wondered what it's capable of. Thanks

      He’s got everything exactly the same as me in terms of build year and setup except he’s rwd
      Unlike in this video, I upgraded both fuel pumps. Only thing is I’m on an OTS stage 2h 93 map from bootmod3 so maybe custom tune would yield more?

      OTS map is PULLING! I'm almost positive Cary Jordan could pull some more power out of it but I can't afford a new engine and have already spent 340i money on this car so I'm leaving it on the OTS haha

      @@2CAINEF3X If you have expendable cash, plans on keeping the car for a while, and can want to try out a different version of the platform, I'd suggest it. I was kind of in a bind because my turbo was done anyway so it was like, do I spend a ton to get the stock turbo replaced or do I spend a little more for a lot more fun and potential. ITS NOT CHEAP. Maybe it is for people that are used to driving say a Turbo S but for me, this is my first German car ever. This one item is the most I've ever spent on one item. Weigh your options out and decide is my suggestion.

    I just brought everything and getting ready to this exact upgrade. How much hp you think your putting down with the ots. I want 570-590 but don’t know if I have enough parts for it.

      I had seen someone on youtube run the exact setup as mine minus fuel pump upgrades and he put down 453 WHP on 93 octane. For 570-590, you're probably going to need things like methanol and e85 at least, potentially even port injection. Hoping someone else can see your comment and respond because I'm not super well versed on what the true potential is of that turbo.

      Do any of you two know what numbers you're running? To my knowledge n55 maxes @ 500 crank hp anything more should need engine rebuild or your at high risk of blowing ur shit?

    Interested in a ps2 turbo for my n55 e92. Also how much do you think I should pay for the install / how many hours for it being Rwd? Sick video man

      Thank you for watching! To answer your question, I would say I honestly don't know but I hear RWD knocks off like 3-4 hrs of worktime so perhaps 1000-1200? Start to finish, this took a while but granted, I also had to replace the oil pan gasket and motor mounts which required also removing the subframe. Oh and the LPFP and HPFP, high pres. being the more labor intensive one because you need to take off the intake manifold.
      Best bet, ask your favorite independent shop for a quote and also refer to the forums as that's where I've gotten good general baseline labor cost for this and many other mods/repairs.

      Great because I’m working with Jack stands in my garage 😂 I’ve done everything to this car myself. I don’t think I want to take that on with Jack stands

    how much hp you making on this setup? i have the same setup in my car same turbo, clutch etc. Except i have a B58Tu pump on it

      18x9 and I think the offset is +30, tires are 255/40/18

      About $3k for labor I believe. DONT QUOTE ME! Call around as everyone will give a slightly different price.

      @@lazarus8501 read up on swapping to ewg over on f30post or other relevant forums and I think you’ll find out quickly that’s not going to be the way to go. You’re better off selling your car and finding an ewg turbo car as opposed to retrofitting everything to make it ewg. That’s what I’ve gathered at least from my research. Not worth the squeeze.

      @@tomgorelik one question. Did you do your rod bearings and rods because I know the 2014 and up can handle power because they have s55 rods and bearings.

      @@lazarus8501 I did not. I know it’s a potential problem with these but I took the risk. Unfortunately it was my piston rings that went at around 117k but that was actually before ps2 so I assume it was poor maintenance from previous owners and not the turbo. They’re identical rods and bearings? That doesn’t sound right but I don’t know everything about these engines so - -

      Fuel pumps, downpipe and potentially different map sensor depending on how much boost you’d like to push

      @@tomgorelik sweet I have CTS intake MHD tune and downpipe just need a intercooler but if just having a upgraded fuel pump is all I need to slap a bigger turbo on I’ll be doing that soon thanks

    You mentioned oil entering the combustion chamber. That would be valve seals. As the turbo seal is after the combustion chamber.

      Valid point but ultimately swapping the turbo was indeed the solve. I will inquire with my mechanic though about maybe refreshing things like the valve seals because after some really hard driving recently, it did burn a bit of oil. Figured it’s just a turbo car problem because this was a track day followed by a three hour trip on the highway where I was launching it and then a spirited morning drive. Good to know though thank you

      Oil entering the combustion chamber also happens due to oil being pushed into the intake tract through pcv and turbo system(why we have catch cans), eventually the sludge and oil pushes through the intake, past the valves and out the tailpipe. Valve seals can be a reason but not the only one

      Oil travels through the turbine and compressor shaft and when those seals fail.... oil goes where it shouldn't. Your welcome

      @@janelo9512 turbos are below the combustion chamber. But blown seals, bad valve stems , and or blow by will cause it to smoke. But blown turbo seals, oil is gonna come out the exhaust.
