    What is the oil procedure check on this engine? There is no separate oil tank here, only everything is in the engine.

    Just bought my 2017 YFZ450R. This was very helpful. I really appreciate the pro tips and torque values listed. Great job sir! I didn’t know it had two drain plugs either. Do you have a online place that can get OEM oil change parts other than the dealer? Thank you in advance!

    • @AustinRohr
      @AustinRohr  Před rokem +1

      Typically I've used Rocky Mountain ATV/MC for most of that sort of stuff. You'll have to search for it through the OEM parts finder, which can be tricky if you've never done it before, but it helps a lot to get familiar with it!

      Thank you for your reply! I just came from my dealership and they only gave me one oil filter, two of those small donut gaskets, and one large oring. Now I know I’m short on parts due to your video. I asked him, is that all we need? He said yes. Missing two drain plug gaskets and one small donut gasket. Glad I saw your video before working on my new/used bike!

      @AustinRohr  Před rokem

      @@mchevownr ahh man, that's a bummer! They should definitely have them, too. Most of those crush washers are pretty standard across many models so it's hard to believe they wouldn't have any on hand. If you look for them, I believe they're listed under "crankcase."
      My quad here is a 2020, but the parts and process remains unchanged from 2009-current.

    • @AustinRohr
      @AustinRohr  Před 3 lety +1

      I buy most of it directly from the dealership but if I am ordering it, I get it through Rocky Mountain. I can't post links to OEM parts from their site but I can get one for the oil.

    Are those Factory 43 nerf bars/bumper powdercoated to match frame or bare aluminum?

    • @AustinRohr
      @AustinRohr  Před 3 lety +1

      Just bare aluminum. I just clean them up with Scotch-brite every so often which keeps them looking nice. Much easier/cheaper than worrying about powder!
