Thanks for your video. Just got my 2022. Your video was very helpful.
Great Skid Plate. I've had mine few months now.
Awesome vids man keep up the hard work.
Where did you get your skid plate cause I need one for a yfz450r se 2018 and I can’t seem to find any if you could recommend some that would be great
Awesome video I learned something better then paying a dealership alot of money to do this thanks
That's the goal!
Ever since I saw this ratio rite trick I have used it since
It works pretty well!
What is the oil procedure check on this engine? There is no separate oil tank here, only everything is in the engine.
Can you tell me the order number for crush washer would be helpful
I use the same oil, but 20w50.
It takes 1600 ml with my Hinson clutch and cover.
What’s the difference between the oils just little curious if they make a difference
@@Daniel-Biruk normally you would run thicker oil in hot climate and thinner viscosity in cooler
@@barneychamorro ok I’m in a hotter climate what oil would you recommend
@@Daniel-Biruk 20w50 mineral
Just bought my 2017 YFZ450R. This was very helpful. I really appreciate the pro tips and torque values listed. Great job sir! I didn’t know it had two drain plugs either. Do you have a online place that can get OEM oil change parts other than the dealer? Thank you in advance!
Typically I've used Rocky Mountain ATV/MC for most of that sort of stuff. You'll have to search for it through the OEM parts finder, which can be tricky if you've never done it before, but it helps a lot to get familiar with it!
Thank you for your reply! I just came from my dealership and they only gave me one oil filter, two of those small donut gaskets, and one large oring. Now I know I’m short on parts due to your video. I asked him, is that all we need? He said yes. Missing two drain plug gaskets and one small donut gasket. Glad I saw your video before working on my new/used bike!
I forgot to ask, what year is your bike?
@@mchevownr ahh man, that's a bummer! They should definitely have them, too. Most of those crush washers are pretty standard across many models so it's hard to believe they wouldn't have any on hand. If you look for them, I believe they're listed under "crankcase."
My quad here is a 2020, but the parts and process remains unchanged from 2009-current.
could you put a link for where you get your oil gaskets and oil filters from? im getting a 2021 se
I buy most of it directly from the dealership but if I am ordering it, I get it through Rocky Mountain. I can't post links to OEM parts from their site but I can get one for the oil.
Are those Factory 43 nerf bars/bumper powdercoated to match frame or bare aluminum?
Just bare aluminum. I just clean them up with Scotch-brite every so often which keeps them looking nice. Much easier/cheaper than worrying about powder!
Also what case saver you got and order number for the crush washer please.
I use a TM Designworks chain guard. Got you on your other comment with the crush washer number 👍
I see you have a recluse clutch how do you like it I'm about to put one in mine
I personally love mine. You have to spend some time setting it up and adjusting it from time to time, but the benefits it provides are so worth it for me.
Can I ask? What is the thread size for oil dipstick? Thanks
Great question... no idea. Hopefully someone else out there can answer this!
Can you comment the order number?
Good video man. You should check out the one we did not too long ago. Would love some feedback!
I'll give it a look!
This video really helped and one question what oil filter would you recommend
I always stick with OEM. Many options out there but stock filters are easy to get ahold of and consistent in quality.
Do u have a problem with your yfz450r losing oil
I do not but that's a common problem if you don't run the oil breather box and AIS delete.
what linkage are you running?
I run the Teixeira MX linkage.
@@AustinRohr OEM rear shock?
@@barneychamorro yup, just adjusted the clickers and preload to my needs.
Where you get crush washer please respond
I usually order them up through Rocky Mountain ATV.
@@AustinRohr do you know the number just so it can make it easy for me
@@yahirbarragan6630 90430-10148-00 you need two.
You talk to much😂
