Sort of. They just pour their own personal misery, vitriol and trauma into everything they write because they think no one ever had it worse than them. They are completely unable to even peek out of their own box, so everything has to be about them and their feefees. And look, I've suffered trauma and depression myself, I know what it is. I just don't demand that all entertainment must be about me and the difficulties I have suffered.
Tolkien experienced the trenches of WW1 as a soldier and was still able to write about things of immense beauty and create characters that were something to look up to. Only a deeply miserable, but completely self indulgent douchebag would ever look up to Amazon's Guyladriel.

Tolkien made the elves almost not grounded in reality. They often cared more about song and beauty than in reality because their long lives made everyday things trivial. That’s why so often Legolas would make unemotional, strangely observant comments about beauty and history. It gave the elves personality and character but also that sense of not being focussed on the here and now. Men and dwarves are quick to anger and action. It doesn’t fit Galadriel to be like this. I understand they’re making a character arc where she’s going to become more measured but even so this isn’t faithful to Tolkien’s world at all.

I think it’s extreme immaturity too-that’s what the writers have given Galadriel as a character trait. Essentially if anything doesn’t go Galadriel’s way, she goes from 0 to 100.
Because in this scene, the writers have already established that Galadriel is so powerful that everyone else around her are like flies. So, she’s definitely not threatening him because she’s afraid.
And instead of asking him what he wants or maybe responding in a joking manner or being witty-she just goes straight to threatening to kill him.
And the reason? Just because he might be in her way-not even for certain, but might be. That’s extremely immature.
Which is so odd too. Because she’s thousands of years old. And supposed to be wise. It just is so strange that humans are actually wiser and more mature and stable than her. It’s not a good look for everyone around her to be much more mature than her. In this scene he doesn’t say anything about her crazy behavior, and that shows a lot of understanding and maturity.
Basically most people if they were threatened in this way they wouldn’t be able to tell immediately that she is just being extremely immature and not evil. Basically not someone who really kills everyone in her path.
Most people would definitely be responding either with protecting themselves or running away. The fact he does neither means he understands her very well immediately.

      Lets analize:
Feanor was a genius, a crafter, a smith, a linguistic, he made the Palantiri, and of course held the light of the trees in the Silmarils but yet he commit many crimes; facing his own brother (not by his own merit he was manipulated by Melkor), the murder of the Teleri was a desesperate act bc Valar dont do shit anyway, leave his brothers and kind to die in Helcaraxe (including Galadriel)... well that wasnt nice but Mandos Curse was on action, he was driven by pain, anger and his Oath but he recived what he look for. And his death was tragical, but Melkor understimate him and attack him driven by fear. We all know if Feanor act more wisely and mature, as a the High King he was, probably he and Fingolfin could kill or debilitate Melkor, they were mighty elfs
And yet i don´t see Feanor as a villain, or a psycopath, he was a borderline boy with childhood trauma, he's a complex character, and my favorite Elf along with Luthien
As far i remember in the series, Galadriel took an Oath along with her brother.
Probably she indeed a is "female Feanor", and that's why she wore the 8 ponit star, the Feanorian symbol since the beginning and acts like douchebag bc her Oath. I only watch epidose 1, and without many expectations, it bored me and it was painfull for me watch the entire episode.
But... she isnt a genius or a crafter, i dont see her forgin her own blade or making the Palantiri, she dosent have any magnificent talent as Feanor did, and important to say Feanor had a realistic reason to behave like a spoil child bc his daddy Finwë spoil him trying to full the pain of the lost and abandon of her mom.
Galadriel in series persona is reduce to someone who resovle everything with violence, she had a great childhood in Valinor, as they portrait in Ep 1, which makes no sense for her characer behaviour like Feanor, otherwise he took his valinor time making wonders as a refuge of his trauma, feeling intimidated by his step family and being a spoil child.
So... if she is a "Female Feanor" someone in the series don't understand nothing about Feanor character and reduce him as a douchebag.
And if this is the "Galadriel" of the movies the whole idea of being a little Feanorian girl it crumbles down bc the fate of Noldor and mostly Feaorians is to get corrupted by thier own oath, fail and have a horrible death... if she is the Galadriel from the movies we all know that she survived the Oath something that makes no sense if whole plot idea is her being a "Female Feanor" and i dont think they face her a good reason to survive the Oath and the curse of Mandos
I'm not against the idea of a "Female Feanor" just bc they can't use the original character's name and persona, that would be a good adaptation preset, but i think that the series is poorly writting, many dialoges are an entire boring cliché I don't think the amazon workteam have the balls to make it happen, or even gave her a fate as a "Feonorian" and die, or became a mourning shadow until Dagor Dagorath
The entire show doesnt feel like a Tolkien's work, it feels like a random fantasy series with bad writting, scenes that end nothing and things we all know

Good to great writers understand nuance and are able to show pride and possibly narcissism in a manner that’s more attuned to real life. It’s much more subtle yet when the time comes for it to rear its ugly head, the impact is so much greater. With Galadriel in Rings, the writers have her being completely bullish and overbearing with her pride. It’s uncomfortable to watch it’s so poorly done. You get that feeling, like when you’re embarrassed for someone, and you know that they have totally screwed up.

That part of men is silent, and invisible. So when they write a female character and "empower" her with masculinity, it comes off as hollow and psychotic.
When writers write women like heroic women, you end up with Sarah Conner and Ripley types. But you cant do that. Those characters are physically weak and cannot displace men, only stand equally with them. Which oddly is the very thing feminism claims to want. How very odd...

Yet deeper still there dwelt in her the noble and generous spirit of the Vanyar, and a reverence for the Valar that she could not forget. In him she perceived a darkness that she hated and feared, though she did not perceive that the shadow of the same evil had fallen upon the minds of all the Noldor, and upon her own.

This galadriel is NOTHING like the one Tolkien describies. She is quite literally the exact opposite

Yes! That's Galadriel, you understand her character, i think she fear Feanor bc he was a powerfull elf with a child personality, its like seeing a child playing with an AK-47, tragic in a sentence
I don't why the writters are obseced of making a leading female character like this, its disgusting and utter contradictory if you read minds you don't have, you don't need violence, but meh.
The stories and characters that i made when i was 14 have more understanding and realistic touch than this series, and i most to say that when i read my scripts again i feel annoyed and cringe, but i was a kid without intentions of beign professional on writting; the problem here is that this series was indeed written, directed, screenplayed by actual professionals. This is scandalous

They went ahead and Last Jedi'd Galadriel times a million.
This is Amazon's version of the Elven sorceress who is literally older than Middle-Earth's sun and considered amongst the wisest and most perceptive amongst her people even when she was 'young' .
And guess who AmazonGaladriel's been making eyes at?

We saw how strong the real Galadriel was in lotr. Her mere stare was enough to give chills into the heart of an enemy.

Why would galadreal do this she not psycho he says, totally forgets the scene where she nearly took the one ring from Frodo and could have stolen all of Sauron’s power for herself.

Even in the 1st Age she was more of a voice for the Noldor revolution than anything else. Feänor was the warrior, the fighter. And as a further point, Galadriel came to hate him BECAUSE of his ways and actions against their kin. So why would she later adapt his methods, even loosely?

Lmao, I guess this is their standard of someone deemed as the "fairest and wisest of all beings", worthy of one of the Great Rings.
Again, low standards, the writer got too much pride and emotional baggage to write a character such as Galadriel.
She's like a douchebag who got something to prove, frantically showing off her dominance through violence to let people know that she's a strong women.

I’ve sat there with injured insurgents, captured detainees, and never treated them as badly as GaLadriel treats & speaks to people, these writers have never dealt with any situation like this.
