Hell yeah. After how boring and grey and gigantic MW2019’s maps were, Cold War’s colorful, vibrant, and varied scenery was a breath of fresh air. Even maps I hated playing on like Miami were at least fun to look at.

Ayyyy bo3 is my favorite cod as well. Don’t see that a lot but I’m glad it’s getting the respect it deserves. Incredible multiplayer maps, excellent dlc, unreal zombies dlc and launch maps plus chronicles. It doesn’t get any better from a cod game in my opinion. I’m still playing it with my buddies to this day.

I have to hard disagree with mw3 there are so many worse maps on other games for it to be 14th. They were pretty ugly tho.

MW3 MAPS were epic not all of them but most of them
Bo2 was the best in terms of maps for multiplayer & zombies. Also the maps for multiplayer have sm to it. Not just the design, but the background noises & vibrant colors. It was so beautiful. I can talk abt bo2 for hours
I hope Treyarch next game is a mix of MW2019 game design with BO2 art, colors and map design.

Well yeah, I was born in 2000 exactly. But I played each and everyone of these CODs during their prime. Sure, I was young for games like COD 4, WaW, and MW2, but old enough to play and remember the times I had on them. This list is a ranking on the games based on their maps, NOT a ranking on how nostalgic each games' maps are.

@@juelzmusic7886 well to be fair, I don’t only play a cod during its life cycle. I played all 3 of those games consistently from 2009 to now even lol. So yeah my opinions on the game definitely shift a lot, but I guess that’s how I avoid my ranking being only nostalgia-based, if I frequently revisit those older games

Loved WW2 war mode, strategic objectives, like the bridge building part or fueling the tanks to escort to other side to win match.

Very true. Lots of different games to appeal to different groups. Some games have managed to appeal to more though.
Gotta massively disagree with MW3, trying my best to not let nostalgia play a part but I loved mission, hardhat, terminal, dome, seatown and loads of the DLC maps were great.
However they had some of the worst maps in COD history as well, such as Downturn and Interchange, so I can see why you may have it that low- it’s all preference at the end of the day, good video tho.
It’s funny how he says that cod is a arcade shooter even though it was originally about ww2
@@anthmonkey the setting doesn’t determine whether it’s an arcade shooter or not, the gameplay does. Even the old WW2 CODs were arcade shooters.

Interchange is pretty underrated if you ask me, MW3 is one of my favs CoDs and i played it a lot, honestly i didnt know that map was controversial, like of course is not a fan favorite but still decent

It’s gonna have to be Bo2 for me. There were only a handful of maps I would consider bad and even some of the “bad” maps are pretty good.
Mw 2019 wasn't the best multi-player but damn, dead last??? And your reasoning was because The multi-player maps had to many flanking options? I like that they added flank options because it discourges camping but ok
My reasons were quite a few things. Overly complex which results in slower gameplay and more random flow. I'm fine with more flanking routes but not THAT many. Having that many flank routes does not discourage camping, especially when there's so many buildings with "safe spaces" filling most of the maps. The maps also didn't have a good color palette and a lot of them were too big for 6v6. Also, too many doors.
would have been great if you could have incorporated your opinion on the weapons, in general, the movement dynamics and rewards
I've done full Multiplayer ranking videos before... this specific video is only ranking them based on the maps
@@Xpertfusion well, it's a great job and a lot of work and we appreciate it. I unfortunately got stuck in from COD2 but have seen so many editions come and go and so many forgettable maps, maps that were just copied and derivative and others that were complex and exciting. You made me remember so many that felt like I just dreamt them haha.....I do hope that they remake many of them again. Some gems. Cheers for this.

On the other hand throw in modern warfare 3 we have maps that are so iconic like lockdown, mission, dome, hardhat, arkaden, village was also an good map change my mind

most of those maps you listed for MW3, I do not like and think are either poorly designed or just not the type of style I am interested in (Dome and Hardhat are great though). The maps are also very grey and don't look great.

And btw, it had NOTHING to do with graphics. I was talking about the color palette. Maps from world at war had better colors than MW3

Dude I could not agree more with this list which is crazy. In terms of personal faves BO1 will always be mine, especially with its Zombies mode. But if I try to be objective, yes BO2 has the best mutliplayer maps (and coolest scorestreaks in the series).

My favourite was Blackout when all the MP maps were so n one map. They need to make a Blackout 2. If they constantly did updates for Blackout I’d be so into that. Warzone is not nearly as nostalgic/ fun to play
I agree on mw2 2009 a little but terminal is my 2nd favorite map of all time because of the setting and the map is good god any play style my favorite map of all time is micro from bo3 ur not a nostalgia guy so I respect your opinion but even tho Cold War maps were great what ruined them was the skill base matchmaking

OG MW2 was my first CoD and favorite game (rose glasses), but I 100% agree on the DLC. Even at the time during my honeymoon CoD phase, I was like "THESE MAPS ARE HOT GARBAGE". Salvage was the first DLC map I played and then that stupid ass Bailout map. Hated them. Trailer park was shit, Carnival was shit...yeah and Fuel. Storm I actually enjoyed. Only one of the "new" DLC maps that I liked. The OG Stimulus Pack pre-covid lol.
EDIT: Also, thank you for giving Infinite Warfare some love. Game is criminally underrated.

Bo3 had good maps. Even though i hated its multiplayer with a fiery passion. The maps were completely perfect

I disagree with most of this list. I would have put WW2 at the bottom of the list. The maps were too average, uninteresting, and they all felt the same. They all have a 3 lane layout and I hate that, it makes me feel like they are all the same map with a different theme. I always liked the randomness of the old maps. It makes them more dynamic imo. Also, I liked ghosts maps. They were too big, yes, but I liked that. It was a breath of fresh air, having a slower gameplay in COD for once. But I'm a person that also enjoys playing games like Battlefield and Arma, so maybe those maps were too big for someone who exclusively enjoys COD fast paced gameplay.

COD4 had some ass maps but it also had a bunch of iconic ones that are still used today. Crash, Shipment, Showdown for example. can’t say the same for AW

I think it was pretty obvious that he prefers treyarch (black ops style) maps a lot more than infinity ward style maps. Which is fair, they are both very different imo. I think it is a lot more difficult to nail the style of maps infinity ward tries to make, so a lot of the times they flop like ghosts and other times nail it like mw2/cod 4. I personally would definitely disagree with some of the choices as well.

Bo4 maps are so fucking congested and tight, it is the literal definition of a small 3 lane map. U have no options in those maps but to run down one of three tight lanes. Fuck tactics am i right? Bo4 and ww2 tie for having the worst maps.

@@Xpertfusion not going to lie I wish I could like black ops 4 as much as you do but I feel like everything is working against me the fucking barbwire and shields ruin the map flow I have seen several times 3 people making a random building an unassailable fortress that I can’t do shit to and the slower time to kill sure as hell doesn’t help me dislodge those campers I whould have loved to see the emp grenade from call of duty mobile and have it kill any deployable specialist items I don’t give a fuck if it shouldn’t kill barbwires but it whould make the game a lot more tolerable then it currently is right now I whould actually say that there is more severe unrestricted camping in black ops 4 then both modern warfare 2019 and ghosts combined I don’t say that lightly

I've played cod probably longer than you've lived. I was top 5% in the world in every cod until mw2019, because the game punish skilled players like me. Pro players hated mw2019 to death, are you gonna call them bad to? lol..
If I was bad at cod, I would love mw2019 because every single feature in that game was made to make it easier for garbage players. The devs literally admitted this themselves. They wanted to bring in the fortnite kids
