Cold War and Infinite Warfare are underrated in my opinion. I just have so much fun with those games!

I used to not like Cold-war until I started playing vanguard, I just started revisiting it and am having a lot of fun. It’s probably my favorite of the warzone trilogy, because Modern warfare Had a decent campaign, decent multiplayer with crippling flaws and terrible spec ops. Vanguard Had a sub par multiplayer, terrible zombies and mediocre campaign. However, all 3 Sections of CW are pretty solid with the zombies being the best

Cold war’s the best mp we got since BO3 and was the last good one since MW2 became Fortnite because it had so many modes and gave you superpowers

All of CoD4’s maps are memorable, even the bad ones had ATMOSPHERE. Only 3 kill streaks made the game have more gunplay and less BS. You listen in that the enemy has UAV, you start being more careful for a bit. You hear an air strike coming in, find cover. You hear the enemy has a chopper… ok be careful. That perk that lets you listen in on the enemy was hella hilarious when everyone had mics🤣

It was such a hard choice to pick between those two.
I agree with you that Black Ops 3 was good on balance and had alot of customization. My only problem with Black Ops 3 was that there wasn't much of a need for sniping and earning better weapons through loot boxes. Still aa fun game to play though.

@@ShaggyWithABaggy Probably agree. I only played Vanguard for a few days. It was ok but not very memorable.
I’d say that playing cod MP‘a offline with bots, if possible, it can help make the games more fun in ways that online modes absolutely cannot. I hated playing cod Ghosts online, but playing with hardcore bots with custom game settings made the game SO much more fun. If you change the settings just right for the really awful maps, you can make them a lot more fun. I used to LOVE turning Stonehaven into 1v8 TDM match with each player only having 2 lives. If you ever have the time, try it out!!! It’s basically how I am able to enjoy some of the least popular COD’s. It makes the games feel a lot more sandbox-like.

Probably going to re-do this list in the future so I’ll be adding those games to it whenever I do. But I’m certain neither of the games would be that high lol

MW2 with a CRT TV is my #1. Quick scoping was the best. There were so many Overpowered weapons, and unfair things BUT overall, the community was at its peak, there were so many trash talking players and stories being made in each lobby. Lobbies weren’t split up after each match(idk why they do that now) Search and Destroy was hella fun. Must be nostalgia too when I think about MW2 but there’s so much more than the game itself that made the game amazing. The private lobbies where everyone would 1v1 each other.
I didn’t know CRT TV’s had an advantage, but they did. I’m 100% sure because I played MW2 with an HDTV a bit ago and i felt like there was a lot of lag unlike with a CRT TV back in 2010. It’s just a hunch tho I haven’t looked into it.
Not a hunch, CRT tvs have less lag, if not zero lag, compared to an HD TV, which almost always lag by a ms or two.
Love your take, overlooking the nostalgia part and ranking the games based on many factors. I really lost that excitement for the COD franchise with the WZ era MP COD, they kinda fucked the formula, the progression, how these game are experienced if you're used to the older MP games and how the game are now monetized. I thought MWR, WWII and BO4 were the last time COD MP was truly fun, for me at least. Monetization/rewards felt fair and I got Season Passes for all of them for those DLC maps. Going back and if I had to get some nostalgia involved WaW/MW2 and especially BO1 are some of my favorite COD MP games from that era, of course not without their flaws...MW2 is straight up broken, noobtubes/RPGs really kill the enjoyment at times. If only they did a MW2R MP like they did MWR and fixed the bullshit, added events and some more content...it would be bliss but MW2019/WZ killed that idea for good.

Tried going back to MW2 and 3 but there seems to be like zero servers and couldn’t get into a single match after waiting for over an hour. Anybody else having this problem?
I play these games pretty much every day on Ps3. No issues finding server but some people have issues selecting multiplayer (need an old psn account)
With Modern Warfare 2019, they had to have kill streaks rather than score streaks due to the MW series basically being know for kill streaks while black ops are known for score streaks
I don't think that really matters, I mean even MW3 had pointstreaks and BO1 had killstreaks so regardless that wouldn't be true all the way through.
Cold War has the best modern multiplayer in my opinion

It's a subjective list of my own opinions. I've played a TON of World at War back in 2008-09. Just wasn't one I'm that crazy about (campaign was solid though)

Such a disrespect to MW3. By far one of the best multiplayer games. And no it has nothing to do with nostalgia. It's a upgraded version of MW2 and it had amazing maps, guns and game modes.
The insanely fast TTK just made it not as fun for me. Plus the incredibly bland color palette and still a lot of balance issues like MW2.

Like for example, some bugs that people complain about I personally NEVER experience, also sometimes I may think a game is balanced whereas someone else thinks it’s unbalanced (like cold war’s gun balance for example, I personally think it’s good for the most part). The skill gap is definitely a subjective thing, some ppl love a higher skill gap, some people love a lower one.

@@LynnJynh9315 CODs “identity” is literally just a 6v6 arcade shooter centered around soldiers and military conflicts. Going into the future with advanced movement does not change that identity at all. It’s just a different setting.

COD has two problems: 1, trend-chasing, 2, crunched development time. These two elements will kill the series. Team members have already threatened to quit over them. Similar issues have all but killed the MCU.

“Trend-chasing” is certainly a thing all big franchises do (look at Battle Royale lately), but it’s only a problem to me if it goes against what the franchise is… and like I said, I don’t think advanced movement went against the identity at all.
Crunched development time has certainly been an issue but that has literally nothing to do with our conversation lol
