For me, it'll always be Infinite Warfare. All that time getting to know the crew, trying to keep them alive, only to have to sacrifice all of them including yourself to utterly destroy the worst enemy Earth has ever faced. It left me so shaken that after I finished the game I didn't come back to the game for a solid year.
MW3 is a seriously close second, like so close I almost made it first, but honestly I kinda wished it'd been Soap who made the final kill. It would have finished the trilogy in a very satisfying way, for me. That's just a tiny nitpick, but it's just enough to hold it back from being number 1 for me.

I realized something the final mission in aw is exactly the same as the final mission in mw3 you get to the building with the jogger suite you shoot your way through and you get to the top of the building just like mw3 to kill the bad guy bruh wtf

Regarding your comment on Roark's survival, it's more has to do with believability than realism. Like you said, it's a video-game: realism kind of goes out the gate when it comes to them. But Call of Duty has set a standard of being fairly grounded, and Roark surviving a gun-shot to the chest (Not to mention being deep underwater) stretches that sense of logic too much. A good game keep to a set standard/logic; to do otherwise hurts the quality.

In my opinion Avanced warfare is the Best
I disagree with ranking WW2 above WAW, whilst the concentration camp epilogue was good in concept for exploring the horrors of war first hand, i thought It felt really sanitised, with blankets covering the bodies and the general scenery not feeling as authentic as it could have been, imagine if the WAW devs had got their hands on a mission like this, I have the sense they wouldn’t have held as much back in order to appeal to a wider audience, with all the war crimes and gore in that game, either SHG aren’t intelligent enough to be making games with context as complex as WW2, or they were seriously throttled by Activision, but given how vanguard turned out id imagine it’s a bit of both.
If Break on Through was included for Cold War it would be top 5 easily.

Putting Cod Waw campaign as number 8 is criminal. I'd honestly put it as top 3 in my opinion. The flag with Reznov is fucking insane.
