Watching this, I feel like Tiafoe is the better player but Shelton had so much more energy and stamina in him. Kudos to both for making it so far in the US Open!
Tiafoe is more experienced prof player, but I think people miss the fact Ben’s college team match play has given him broader range of playing styles… also having a former prof tennis player as coach and dad has given them a great short hand during Ben’s matches. This was a very humid day and Ben plays in Florida also VA / DC where Tiafoe grew up is very humid too. For me Tiafoe is getting to celebrity conscious and I wonder if he is getting his rest when so many celebs come to his matches. Ben is a tough adversary

I think For is out of DC, ehich is hot and Muggy too. Foe has gotten do much better, however he just changed coaches. I think he and other Laver team membes saw the versatility of Ben his first year on tour. Ben brilliant in doubles and singles. Ben’s dad is an excellent coach… we have a fantastic group of young US tennis players!

I was rooting for Francis but he wasn’t the better player on the day. Hopefully he goes back to the drawing board and figures it out.
