I used to get jammy dodgers all the time as a kid. It is basically two shortbread biscuits with a bit of jam located in a small hole in the center. I can assure you no monkeys are involved.

I watch this series just for the pure Gothic horror aesthetic, but the content and humor is always on point as well.

I didn't expect Choco Flakes to make an appearance in this series. They're pretty iconic in Spain but the madcot was replaced by a more friendly one, I think parents thought this was too gross
I think they had also copyright issues.
Choco Flakes are one of the only reasons I go to Spain on holiday. Wish they were available in the UK too. And yeah, they did replace the mascot for some reason

In case it wasn't obvious, they put The Witch Doctor in a _Dr. Mario_ advertisement because both are about "doctors."
Also, the song appeals to children, the game's target demographic.
I feel like this one was in extremely poor taste.
@@abbylarkspur Companies weren't exactly self-aware in 1990. In fact, I'm surprised the commercial's contents have any connection to the game itself, even as tenuous as the connection is.
It would have been hilarious if instead of a witch doctor it was a physician who did something harmful out of salt from losing a Dr. Mario game with his patient.
Every time I hear the name "Wilkins" I always think of the coffee puppet. Is he selling water now too?

The little guy at 18:25 is Benito, a character designed to be rude and crude in a attempt to pop-up among other cereal mascots. His first campaign was quite popular and once the character was established they tried to tame its personality. Fun fact: the cereal company lost a lawsuit and had to drop Benito just a couple years in.
Wow, that mascot from Spain has quite an interesting history. Cuetara did had to let it go during court, huh? Benito was like the Shrek of cereal mascots, am I right? I always have a special place for cereal mascots in general, that includes Snap, Crackle, and Pop from Rice Krispies. Seriously, these little elves are adorable! I wanna hug these little guys!

As someone who lives in Spain I remember watching those Choco Flakes cereal commercials a lot back in the day.

Seriously though, Wanda (Princess of Tiles) is the blonde one and Becky (Queen of Carpets) is the brunette. This series of commercials were from the 90s. Wanda stopped doing them in the early 00s, I think. There were reports of a falling out. She passed about 10 years ago. Becky is still alive, I think. She lost her mind. Once Wanda left, she got weight loss surgery and all that jazz. Then about 10 years ago she shut down all her stores with no notice. Literally was taking orders, signing contracts, and taking cash one day and all the doors are shuttered the next day. I don't know if everyone ever got their refunds because she kinda poofed right off with the money. Turns out she was deep in debt and about 6 figures in the hole with back taxes alone.

The dr Mario brings back memories. When I was growing up it lived rent free in my head. I ran around singing that song as I played the game. So for kids I'd say that commercial was very affective lol. Admit it Chad your humming that song as I type this lol.

I remember seeing this, and I just found it the commercials also led to a web cartoon starring these "Disrepectoids", as these punished kids were called.
The thumbnail one, I’m from Spain and you gave me mad flashbacks. I remember being so uncomfortable when that commercial came up 😭 the thing is that cereal was high key so good idk if they sell it anymore

Oookay, I didn't expect this guy to appear here.
Explanation from a Spanish guy here:
This guy, called Benito, was the mascot of a cereal for I don't know how many years, but I think they were at least like... 10? Anyway, there were a bunch of ads with this guy (this one being one of the most recent) where he tried to eat the cereals but there was always an unconvinience, being this a missing spoon, no milk or something. So he stole the cat's milk or ripped the arm off from a doll to use it as a spoon. The ad always closed with the phrase "los cereales más bestias" (something like "the most brutal cereals" kind of phrase).
What happened to him? If I recall correctly, there was something like an "end of contract" of the mascot rights and there was like a period where the company and the designer and studio who animated the shorts fought over the intellectual property.
At the end, the company lost the trial and had to come up with a new mascot (the one that a lot of people despises and/or finds cringy).

I have said that the Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercials are now basically cannibals. That action commercial is supposed to be for plumbing, air conditioning, and those Pest guys are the "cause" of all the problems, while Action man is the hero come to solve the problem. Fun Fact: Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal also has a cannibalism gag they use in advertisements just like the Pepperoni Nibblers.
That commercial for the Bunn Coffee Maker reminds me of a similar commercial for Brussels Airlines advertising the merger between Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express. I recommend looking into it, it’s pretty cursed.

I grew up watching those carpet commercials that's just one of many they did over the years lol.
Every episode gets better and more cursed!
There are some things I want to point out:
1: The nibbler commercial is EXTREMELY CURSED!
2: The pest commercial seems like the pest actors had too much fun in the green screen.
3: That's a 10 for a coffee commercial for me, so cursed!
4: The New Sims look great
5: I just realized that these commercials are so creative and it's also so cursed as FRICK!
