I like how the animators gave jiggle physics to his bazoongas while making krystal clear they are fake by painting them green and blue, like the make up of his eyes. From what I was able to gather regarding that Kiss Cool thing, it was a product once made by Mondelez International/Kraft Foods and the commercial is from France which might explain the accents. I'm assuming they're just the French version of ordinary Mentos based off the packaging that you just have and not gum since it says "Menthe Forte" on the packaging meaning "Strong Mint". The chicken was in that cheese commercial because as the commercial said, the rooster was after the cow's role to promote the product, so it could be instead called the Laughing (or Fighting) Rooster. The Laughing Cow is also originally from France (though this commercial is British), and the rooster is a national symbol of the country.
In the Middle Ages, the Gallic Rooster was widely used as a religious symbol, the sign of hope and faith. It was during the Renaissance that the rooster began to be associated with the emerging French nation. Royal effigy of Bourbon kings was accompanied by the rooster! But it was the French Revolution that established the rooster as the representation of the Nation’s identity.

They started as the counting sheep that were put out of a job because the mattress were so affective at putting people to sleep. Looking back I think I actually enjoyed them because they reminded me of the sheep in Wallace and Grommet.

I can't say what that Keep It Comfy commercial is about, but I can say that the thing running is a triskelion, which is the symbol of the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man is a British Crown Dependency, meaning it's not part of the UK as they are their own thing but they're not an independent nation as the UK is responsible for them. The triskelion on the Isle of Man flag makes their flag stand out. At first glance it makes no sense, but it's a bit more sense when paired with the Isle of Man's motto: "Quocunque Jeceris Stabit" which means, "Wherever you throw it, it shall stand". The triskelion was first seen on the Isle of Man in 1265, but the symbol is much older than that and dates back to the Ancient Mycenaeans and Lycians of the Mediterranean.
More Isle of Man facts: The Bee Gees are from the Isle of Man! Yup, they're not Australian! Maurice, Robin, and Barry were all born on the Isle of Man. Their family later moved to Australia, but they were born in Man. Isle of Man is the origin of Manx cats which are known for being tailless, but not all Manx cats are tailless! It’s not entirely clear how the local cats came to be tailless in the first place, although science suggests that it’s some kind of genetic mutation. Some litters are born with a mix of tailless and tailed kittens. Normal-length tails are known as “longies”, tailless are called “rumpies” while others with stumps are called “stumpies”.

I remember that Cinemark advertisement! You're right, it was played when the previews were over and right before the movie started. The cat guy was called Front Row Joe and was the mascot for Cinemark since the 80's. That particular CGI animation was used in the mid 2000's for cinemark's 20th anniversary. He's mostly just used in print ads nowadays

The Cinemark cat commercial, is definitely real. I know b/c I see that cat every movie before it starts in their theater chain during the 2000s. It was either this or Studio Movie Grill back then, until the Alamo Drafthouse came to my area and I never went to any other theater chain ever since, unless it's a specific movie they don't have.

Honestly I found the movie theater ad charming. I doubt they’d want to spend a ton of money on an ad showing snacks and stuff. But it reminds me of the let’s all go to the movies” thing. It’s still trying to sell you overpriced snacks but if for a moment I can be a kid again seeing the silly little bowling alley quality ad before watching Shrek 2 with my nachos, candy, and drink beside my parents, i’m all for it.

@@VeneficaDelirium This is sort of true! We're all aware of the stereotype, but by calling attention to it oneself it ends up sounding paranoid and defensive. Also, I was purely being sarcastic in my comment. There really is nothing wrong with furries who DO participate in the "adult side." At least not in and of itself. As long as it's all between enthusiastically consenting adults, of course.
