Spine-tingling Royal Salute from Military for King and Queen

- The King and Queen receive a royal salute on their return to Buckingham Palace following the Coronation ceremony. Members of the Armed Forces gave three cheers and played God Save The King in Buckingham Palace Garden.

My favorite moment! His Majesty heaved a great sigh. The PBS tv presenter couldn’t speak due to tears.
I was watching the coronation with my wife. She wasn't very interested - we are not British. But the three-cheers moment made her look up and she said : "THAT was impressive".
We need to buff the military. Look what we could become again.

I was in the procession. We were told the one point of improvement during rehearsals was to be louder on the 3 cheers. And I think we took it on board!

The whole Coronation event from start to finish is the most fantastic thing I’ve ever seen. Good luck and long live Their Majesties the King and Queen.
No one does it better. Hundreds of years of drill and discipline on display. This is why you did not want to look across the open battlefield and see a line of Redcoats on the other side!

One of my favourite moments of the day,the 3 cheers brought tears to the eyes,so charged with emotion. The troops were flawless and should all be getting promotions for their service to His Majesty today. I proudly pledged my allegiance to King Charles ,even though I have lived in USA for over 30 years ,still a British subject and loyal to the Crown. 🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

That was immensely impressive, you could see the pride on the military gentlemen to the Kings left. When those bagpipes went off my Scottish pride went straight to 10!
This was one of the most moving moments of the whole Coronation ceremony for me...having the sincere love and loyalty of this huge number of brave men and women has to be earned...it is obvious that King Charles has earned it...God Bless him and Queen Camilla...their commitment, simplicity, quiet dignity, and Christian spirit were amply demonstrated from beginning to end...🙏🏼❤️
I swear His Majesty did not want to leave. He even looked back over his shoulder, wanting to stay with His Troops.
Doesn't matter how many times I watch this it always gives me chills. You can see from King Charles face that this moment is special to him and I think he didn't want to leave especially when the pipes began to play as he keeps looking back when he has to leave. Its a shame he couldn't stop longer and enjoy the sight and sound. Very special moment for him and the military.

Dear King Charles III,
As a loyal subject of the colonies, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations on your ascension to the throne. It is my hope that your reign will be marked by wisdom, compassion, and a commitment to justice for all your subjects.
While I am proud to be an American and cherish the freedoms and opportunities that our country provides, I cannot ignore the fact that these freedoms were won through a violent and regrettable revolution. As a Christian, I also regret that the revolution was not only a rebellion against the authority of King George III but also a rejection of the lordship of Jesus Christ.
In hindsight, I believe that a peaceful resolution to the conflicts between the colonies and the Crown could have been achieved without resorting to war. I also believe that it was not necessary to reject the authority of the Crown and the principles of the Christian faith in order to achieve independence.
As we move forward, I pray that we can learn from the mistakes of the past and work towards a more peaceful and harmonious future. I believe that under your leadership, our two nations can build a strong relationship based on mutual respect and cooperation.
Once again, congratulations on your ascension to the throne, and I offer my best wishes for a successful reign.
