Suraj Kharvi . You forgot one thing brother. While the great Gurjara Prathihara kings were fighting with Arabs in Sindh and other parts of western India, Rashtrakuta kings helped Arabs and made attacks on Prathiharas. As a result of constant fighting with Arabs in the west, with Rashtrakutas in the South and with Palas in the east , the Prathihara empire became weak and declined between 910 - 950 A.D. which resulted in the political vaccum in north India, thus Mahamood of Ghajni easily entered and ransacked northern and north western India with little resistance. " The infighting between Rashtrakutas and Prathiharas was self destructive " as observed by the historian Romila Thapar in her book Penguin History of Early India.

Wow great video and very accurate.👌🤠 It is amazing how much has changed in almost three thousand years.🔥
As a Sri Lankan🇱🇰, I can say that there is no other country that has influenced our country more politically, socially and culturally than India. At some times we clashed with each other. At some times we invaded each other and at some times we shared.(King Ashoka and King Devanam Piyathissa) At times we helped each other. It is a great bond, sometimes even by blood.
Although not mentioned here, the Pandya Kingdom was invaded by the Polonnaru Kingdom of Sri Lanka, to support pandyan king parakrama 1 during the period 1169-1177 AD. (Pandyan civil war)
During that period, Sri Lanka also invaded Burma(Myanmar), but peace was later achieved due to the Buddhist tradition of both countries.🏳️🕊️🇲🇲🇱🇰
Sri Lanka is a very small country compared to India in terms of land area and population. It's quiet impressive that In such a situation, Sri Lanka remained an independent sovereign state for more than two thousand five hundred years in the face of various changes and upheavals in india and the world.
🇳🇱🇵🇹🇬🇧At the time of the European invasions, India as well as Sri Lanka had been broken into a large number of sub-states. If it was not like that or if both countries fought together, maybe it would have been a dream for the British to conquer India or Sri Lanka.💔
In the end we have to say that for more than 2000 years or if the Ramayana is true, 5000 years ago we have had various contacts between our two Nations.
I can't say whether all of them turned out well. Because even after independence, some relations between Sri Lanka and India did not end well. However, the history of both countries is Amazing 😇❤️ love from srilanka 🇱🇰 to our brother india🇮🇳

    1. Avanti was defeated and conquered by shishunaga b/t 413-395 BCE.
    2. Deccan was most probably conquered during Bindusara reign.
    3. Ashoka conquered kalinga in 8th year after his coronation probably 262 BCE.
    4. Kashmir was a important part of kushan empire.
    4. Sur empire Territorial extent is a little too less.
    5. Gondwana was under the control of mughal for sometime.
But great effort nonetheless. Good luck for future.

Hi Lazardi. Firstly, thanks for sending it - it was very interesting to read. The reason I didn't include it was because I couldn't find much info on it elsewhere, which made me doubt how heavy their involvement really was. Nonetheless, I could always make a video about it in the future.

    • @lazardiwongjogja
      @lazardiwongjogja Před 6 lety +10

You're welcome. Ah yes, I see. Actually, informations on Tambralinga's conquest of Ceylon had already mentioned in a few Wiki articles (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chandrabhanu , en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tambralinga, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaffna_Kingdom) and even in some books like 'A History of Sri Lanka' by K.M. da Silva and 'Classical Civilizations of South-East Asia' by Vladimir Braginsky. Even George Cœdès had also included a few informations about King Chandrabhanu in his well-known book, 'The Indianized States of Southeast Asia'.
While informations about Srivijaya-Anuradhapura relations are still debated, I guess. Too bad that the original author of the theories, Senarat Paranavithana, and probably the only man who had access to the inscriptions that were said to have hinted about Srivijaya's presence in Ceylon, had already died. Up til today, nobody actually knows how far the extent of Srivijaya Empire's influence are.

It was definitely worth the wait. Its amazing that how it was meticulously detailed but still had beautiful presentation. I'd say that you have managed to create one of the most useful sources for the history of the subcontinent. I really hope it is used in education but I also anticipate a lot of unreasonable criticism from the far right due to your neutral potrayal of kashmir region based on de facto borders.

This is very useful as I'm trying to make sense of Indian history haha. I find myself pausing all the time to read stuff or review what's up in fast paced decades. Do you think there could be an interactive map for this ? kind of a flash version instead of youtube. Or maybe slow down the epic moments where things change a lot ? Anyways this is awesome and I'm definitely going to recommend your videos and watch them myself. Thanks !!

Just one suggestion - there is no controversy upon POK and aksai china. Both of these areas are integral part of India only. UN is responsible for this mess up. Otherwise by the time we could have grabbed our area back...
