I stayed in Warsaw for 5 months last year, and was completely amazed by it. The vibe, the flair, the history, the easygoing and down to earth nature of the people. But what i loved the most was this energy and optimism the people had. Happy, young people, that are looking forward into the future with no worries. Openminded, pure, kind. I loved every minute there.
And btw, Warsaw people should stop comparing themselves to Berlin. I am living Berlin for 8 years now, and its a depressing shithole, full with pretentious people. Fake creativity, fake diversity, fake people. Completely overhyped.
Warsaw, do yourself favour and just just stay as you are please ;)))
for me the point of comparing it to Berlin is just to give people an overall idea of what they can expect, bc you know I guess some people have no idea about Warsaw existence at all ;D

I totally know what you mean by feeling not 100% at home no matter where you go. When I moved to Warsaw I started to realize how different life was from Canada, and when I came back, it felt like a different world than the one I left. Great videos and I love to see others moving to Poland
Where do you live now? I'm in the GTA, considering moving back to Warsaw. But I'm 38, and don't know if it be easy to find work. etc. Your family in Poland or Canada?
I’m a freelance football writer working online for years now, so I have the “luxury” to be spending six months here, three-four months there, and so on. Krakow, Kuala Lumpur, Asunción, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, etc, comparing all cities where I have spent a minimum of three months in, picking the one where I had the “most carefree/less stressful” time (I’m picking my words correctly, “most carefree/less stressful”) is easy: Krakow (six months, the second half of 2017). I’d need to write an endless text explaining the whys and hows, I don’t want to bore anyone, so if I had to sum everything up in ONE line I would just write “in Krakow, and Poland in general, things worked, there was a healthy dose of common sense in everything that made each and every day a breeze to start and end”, something you appreciate especially if you spend a lot of time in countries/cities where “common sense” is not that prevalent. Having written that, I have to admit that after six months in Krakow, despite how much I had enjoyed my time there, I felt I was ready to leave, move on, get out of my wonderful comfort zone (and shoot my own foot moving to Asunción for five months, which proved to be a monumentally moronic choice, but… anyway).
Poland will be happy with you & You are pleased at your own decision .

Your experience resonates me. As you lived many years abroad at young age, there is always some foreign part in your life. It is a good and memorable thing. 80% polish, 10% danish , and 10% else is a great combination. You can live in Warsaw as home, also travel around the world and would never feel bored. Embrace your multicultural experience. You are who you are and unique.

My parents left Poland in the 80’s. I grew up in America and don’t speak Polish. I chose to move to Poland this year blindly. I am happy even though I don’t fit in or have any friends

Recently I’ve been watching Justyna’s (Polish girl) CZcams channel called “reborn in India”
In my opinion, she is quite similar to us (me & you) because she is also an adventurer and always finds ways to keep herself on the road whilst working or studying abroad. For example, quite recently, she’s had a job in Norway as a strawberry picker and soon, she is off to France to work as an au pair for 6 months. I think that’s amazing!

As a polish person who lived abroad since i was 18years old i can identify myself with a lot of "stuff" you have mentioned in this video(i had lived abroad over 26years) and if i might be so bold i would like to give you one advice : you have to build some kind of life for your self(maybe in Poland or maybe in some other country) i don't know exactly wot it is perhaps buying property and meeting that special someone that's for you to figure out . I personally plane to move back to Poland one day because i know when am there i will give it 100% this is where my ancestors came from this is where i would like to continue my family tree.... .
Hej. Warszawa jest ciekawa. Urodziłem się tam nawet. Mieszkałem też 28 lat Gdyni. Szukam ciszy i spokoju wraz z rozsądną ceną mieszkania i od 13 lat mieszkam w Wejherowie. Lubię przyrodę, energię i region Kaszub. Szczególnie Nordy. Polecam na wyciszenie i kontakt z naturą. Z morzem, lasami oraz niemalże górskimi drogami (kto mieszka, ten wie o co chodzi). I am Polish, living in Denmark since the day I finished high-school, back in 2016. I am quite integrated and happy about living here. And as I go a lot into the topic of immigration, I really enjoy watching your channel. The curiosity of how being an adult living in Poland is always inside of me, but I would never do that, because I find it scary. Big respect you did that! Mentioning that you finally don't feel foreign, are you sure it is not only because you moved to Warsaw? I have this kind of reflection every time I go to Poland, that I feel more and more foreign every single time I am visiting Poland. And it is not because of the language or anything like that. I just feel like, once you lived abroad, you experienced so many other people and cultures and languages and your mentality has changed (hopefully), you will never be like a person who always lived in their homecountry. If this makes sense. I feel like the cultural gap between me and my homecountry (Poland) is getting deeper and deeper. I always say that I may speak Polish - the local language, but I realise that they speak differently there - and it is not about the language itself. It is about mentality. What do you think about it?

Being single, you are your own household, you have a lot more freedom to move around.Therefore many places can be "home" as your whole unit moves along with you. You might even consider your mom's place a more "permanent" home even in a foreign land. Once you are married with kids, home takes a very different meaning and the place you like to raise your kids will be more homie to you than all the previous places.

So, I just would like to live in Warsaw too, but I don’t know where I have to start. I speak polish too so that’s not a problem , but I don’t know where I have to start to live there. Could you make a video of that too? Where you start with the organisation to live there? Well, I make the IB and I would like to live abroad before I live in Poland, but I don’t have so much money so I need Tipps.

I honestly think that there is only one way which is getting a job and saving up, also you can still apply for jobs before moving. I got a job in Warsaw before I moved here, so when I was moving I knew I had a job waiting for me here :)

Kaja, you have what unwittingly become a citizen of the future, by virtue of birth you are Polish, but by residence, you are Danish, and by culture and language you have become multicultural and also a polyglot. I knew Polish couple in Odense. I missed them and homemade Polish "meat roll" with cabbage and cheddar cheese(?) stuffing😅

Warsaw is so so, there are better cities in Poland and EU. Poland has cheap prices in comparison to other countries so it is good for living.
