Great videography Bob. The crisp, clear, video with close-ups is outstanding. I'm very proud of you. Also Dee is a trooper. A tenacious life warrior. I tried Nomad for two weeks in 2005, after Katrina. Her van would have made it easier.

When I find that perfect connect I am doing her exact build...it is perfect. Love that she did all this without complicated electronics, without altering the van and keeping an open floor between the doors...it is perfect for the space.

I also have a Transit Connect, and they are wonderful. So easy to drive, able to go off-road almost anywhere, and stealthy in the cities, just another little delivery van. Thanks for this video... her layout is excellent, and I will copy that back-door shower rig. My only caveat would be that it is too small for two people. But perfect for one!

At 57, a single female, I've been secretly dreaming about becoming a nomad for quite some time. Both my sons are grown and live 100 plus miles away from me. My mom was here in the same town until she recently lost her battle with cancer. Although I have a wonderful living situation in a subsidized senior complex, the town is very rural. Medical services, other than standard, nurse practitioner issues, require at least 100 miles journey. There's only one market and it's very expensive. Then there's more positives... I live in this rural town on the shores of a gorgeous lake... Negatives. It snows. It snows a lot in the winter. In fact we had snow just two weekends ago. Not feets worth, but still. It highest temperature in the summer is an average of mid to upper 90s with an occasional rise to low 100s. I just think it makes more sense for me to go mobile so I can be nearer my children, nearer medical services, and I can always travel back here when the weather is ideal. Camp on the Lakeshore.... Yep. It's doable.

Deeeeee, great interview with an amazingly uplifting lady! I live off grid and found Dee awhile back because she's always sharing hacks that are relatable. Lady Bugout is such a well thought out rig and I'm so glad she got to share her story of how her final van decision came to be, love her channel. I can't help but smile back when that little red Transit rolls through my screen with her huge, beaming smile!

My wife had her eye on a Ford Transit van just because it looked to be so utilitarian.
She was convinced you could do almost anything you want to with it.
I will need a digital nomad job. Since dog will be going with me and I still have a car payment.
As soon as I get my dental work done and heal, I start looking!

Aww lady bugs make me think of my family too! I have an aunt who like to set loads of them free in the yard and house from those tubs of ladybugs you get at the gardening section of the hardware store. Cute little nibblers
She did an amazing job for a no-build build. Her setups looks very functional. I have a similar usb rechargeable water pump in my camper and they work well and last a long time. Also her van is so cute. Always have liked the little transit vans, and you can’t beat the gas mileage.
I’m already a subscriber to Lady Bugout. I watch the tour on that channel and enjoyed watching it again here. Great job creating a very workable space and an inspiration because I don't have carpentry skills.

Funny to see Dee in this video 2 years ago as i follow her since few years and her van had many modifications since and she is the most incredible, adorable , smart , brave , funny , beautiful , inteligent woman in the RV world community and i admire her minimalisme so much to be able to do it in such a small space , living almost full time. I am minimalist as well but could not make it in a small space like this Ford ( I am 6,5 feet tall as wel ) Awesome time with you guys !!! Thank you !!!

Just goes to show how little we actually need to survive and be happy 😊 Not to mention that our ancestors survived with way less! We have become so spoiled we have failed to enjoy life with less because we have bought into the mindset that more is better!

Yeah I'm exhausted listening to her. I go to beach at 8am and all the surfers are already there full of life energy I need to sit in car 30 minutes just to get the energy to go into the beach and finally get in the water
