Thanks for watching!
God bless this woman for DOING IT. I'm embarrassed to say that I've wanted to do this for years but haven't because I'm afraid to venture out on my own. I have no excuse. She obviously wants it more than I do because where there's a will, there's a way. Her set up is amazing. Go girl!!!!
Well, you could always try it for a night or for a weekend trip. I also use my tiny car as a comfy tent like she said during the week and i would say and nothing more. Use as much public spaces and parks as possible, you can exercise there, read ,go for a walk, make a picnic or whatever. Be aware of your surrounding where you sleep, big parking lots that are free for overnight parking tend to lure people like us so you do will feel comfortable around them during your sleep, at least here in europe
Same here. Money is a big part too.
Get a dog as co-pilot so you won’t be afraid anymore
Small stepsL
1 - go out and sleep in your car tonight in your driveway.
2 - sleep the next night in a Walmart
3 - drive an hour away and sleep somewhere else
4 - more nights in a row
Crawl before you walk..
Just do it, you feel so free
That’s impressive. And she wasn’t even trying. God bless… Don’t change a thing.
❤
I tried watching but....🙄😵💫😵😵💫🫨😖🫣🤤😴
Agree.
❤❤❤❤
♥️🙏
She is awesome! Love to see independent people doing independent things!
Right? She's done a fantastic job!
Me too. I have a good friend who almost can't use the potty without someone with her. She can just drive me mad with her extreme neediness! ( And that's on me! Ha)
Yesss😊❤🎉
Agree. Such simple life.
No wonder she is so happy, she is a beautiful person! God Bless her for finding a way to be a survivalist and adventurous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting Cindy while she was in Arizona. She really is who you see in this video AND living her best life in her tiny home! Way to go Cindy! You did a fantastic job showing us your home and how it all works ❤ I look forward to seeing you again soon … and sharing some adventures in the future with you! ❤😊
Thanks Patty, I am really looking forward to getting together again
@@pollenhead yes I can. It is not the easiest thing to do but it can be done.
I like your home and your ideas. Good Luck May The Blessings Be With You Always.
@@cynthiahowell4172 😊
Way to go girl. I'm amazed at what your vehicle looks like and has. Really would like to know how your cold foods stay cold?
I'd have to say that this is the cutest little sleeper car I've ever seen! As a former security gaurd I could spot a stealth camper a mile away but if I came across this in a lot, I'd probably pass it up because I would say to myself that there is no way anyone would be camping out in such a tiny thing.
Lego needs to seize the opportunity to use this lady for promotion by making a special edition Lego model kit of her and the Fiat camper car. The least they can do to honor such a wonderful person and fan of their product. 😊👍
moving into my small 98 corolla full time day after tomorrow because my housing situation finally fell thru. these videos are helping me not freak out as bad as i have been the last few days
i hope ur somewhat ok and safe ❣
If Cindy can camp and live out of her Fiat 500 anyone can do this! There are no obstacles this lady has not come up against. She has everything she needs and nothing she doesn’t. She is truly an inspiration!❤
I'd certainly prefer a vehicle like this to a tent on a street corner somewhere. She did a great job with what she had !
I love how happy Cindy is--and how proud as punch she is of the creativity she incorporated into making her tiny car a tiny camper. Good on you, Cindy!
Makes my Prius seem like a mansion! Love the ideas!
She has proved that everything is possible ! She is awesome !
Cindy thank you for your service as a rural carrier. It's a hard, dusty, & thankless job, not for the faint of heart.
You are so right.
“I love tiny things!” 😅 I can relate!
I think the main difference is the whether one does this out of choice and fun versus forced to live in a car. I would guess that for her it is a choice as a retired mail carrier for the USPS would have very good pension. Very happy for her and hope she has great health to continue exploring out there and enjoy her lifestyle.
The Lego containers seem so impractical, but Cindy hits the nail on the head with “it makes me happy!” That’s the most you can hope for with anything. Is it working? Clearly. And seeing your storage containers brings you Joy? That’s amazing! How many people can say their cabinets makes them happy? My Husband is almost 50… and he still loves his legos too! 👍👍
I think the Lego containers work if you don't have a lot of bulky things, but as Cindy said they are expensive. My curiosity got the better of me so I looked on Amazon and I am sure she has $500 invested in those containers-if she bought them new. That could be impractical for those with limited resources.
@@davidleigh443 $500 on Lego storage is pretty impractical whether you have limited resources or not. Truly not trying to be rude about this lovely woman who purchased them. This is more a dig at the company for making plastic molds so expensive.
Totally practical for that kind of space.
@@davidleigh443 I think the point in Bob’s showing her set up is ….think outside of the box. Find what works for you and your budget.
And psst….tons of things can be found used, thrift stores etc.
But the most important aspect is “they make me happy!” You can’t put a price on happiness… if you can afford it and it makes you happy, that’s all that matters!
You know what? You are helping a - BUNCH - of us busy
thinking about all that. Every tour reinforces it. Thx!
I love what she has done with her Wheel Estate. Love the lego storage and the color choice of her decor. What a fun attitude she has. Thank you Bob for all the work and sacrifice you give to serve others.
That’s the cutest design I’ve ever seen. I absolutely love her design. It’s so fun and playful
Whatever works.... right?! 😊
She has thought of & included everything she needs for camping! Ingenious & colorful, as well. It’s all thanks to Bob for sharing information to help us get started on the road, for sharing lessons he’s learned over his many years of travel, & sharing most importantly his philosophy of living your best life possible no matter what your challenges may be!! Thanks so much, Bob!
That is the planning you get with a backpacker.
Not sure about vinegar to clean hair. Otherwise both Lego home and Cindy are cute as a button.
@@SOPHISCE Vinegar mixed with water makes a fantastic hair rinse. It removes soap residue and make the hair shine. I use a lower ratio of vinegar to water for a hair rinse and a higher ratio of vinegar to water for cleaning/mopping the floor. It's also a safe cleaning solution if you have pets in the home. Vinegar is a staple in my pantry and a cap full of vinegar is probably enough for the plastic bottle she showed.
Very curious about what type of crafts she does in the car.
@@SOPHISCE Yes, all cute as a button! Regarding the vinegar: When I don't want to do the whole shampoo scene, I use home made ACV vinegar to clean my scalp and hair, followed by a little water. The vinegar cleans your head and hair makes your hair very soft and clean. The vinegar even helps split ends. If I'm going to be in public I mask the smell with peppermint and lavender oil, about two drops total. Good stuff.
OMG she is just adorable! What a great outlook on life. Her warmth shines right through. Great build in a tiny space.🎉😊
Did you ask if she is single Bob???
Well done girl, enjoy your life your way and god bless you
I first met Cindy at Jonnie's Journey meetup in Missouri last Sept and again out in Quartzsite for several meetups. I am beyond impressed at her little home on Wheels!! Again, Bob, this just goes to show you that if you have a dream, a desire, a will to travel, then there is a way 🎉
Thanks Gracie, I hope we meet again soon.
@@cynthiahowell4172 See you at Jonnie's in September!
Y’all are lucky you got to meet that lovely woman!
She is good I like that little car I got my Geo Tracker setup like that it works great
It’s amazing and I would like to copy her. I have a small little Honda Civic and I thought I needed something bigger. But after I have seen her little fiat and how she made it works,I am very impressed.
What a beautiful build! This lady knows what she wants and knows how to get it!
I parked beside this lovely lady at a meetup post rtr this year. She showed me her car and shared her tips and tricks. The people you meet along the way really make the difference. Another great video.
It's really impressive what Cindy has done here. Not only the Lego-build, and the efficient use of limited space, but creating the happiness written all over her face. 😊 What a lovely personality. Though I now feel a little guilty wanting a bigger vehicle than my SUV. 😆 40+mpg!😮
Never ceases to amaze me, the ingenuity of simple living.
I roam Europe on a motorcycle and a tent. Much love and respect to this lady and to all drifters and vagabonds out there.
What motorcycle do you use and in what sort of places do you camp?
Very nice job...
I just wanted to let people know. The vinegar and water spray also works for removing wrinkles from clothing. Just spray and give your shirt or dress a good shake. Let air out if you don't want the vinegar smell.
Very interesting. She and her car , are just as cute as could be. Awesome job.
Cindy’s legos are unique! She is cheerful and full of joy. Thank you both for your inspiration! ❤
From Italy: you should send this video to Fiat in Tourin, they would send you an award! Very well done, bravissima! ❤
Bob Wells aka the Pied Piper of nomads, hits another one out of the park!
He’s unbelievably good at this.
She is proof you don't need all that stuff..this is incredible!! Great use of space!
Those Legos are brilliant. I'd never heard about these Legos. 👍👍 They're whimsical as he says, but they're also very practical.
I just love how tidy and efficient this set up is!!!
Cindy!!! Fellow rural carrier here!! You are my hero and I can’t wait to do this some day! You’re “parcel fitting brain” is evident here! Posties know how to pack! Happy trails, friend!
She’s got everything she needs! That’s the smallest car conversion I’ve seen since Dee’s car conversion 😊❤🇨🇦
This is fabulous. This person knows how to make a comfortable home, in a smaller space. Very possible to spend days and nights there. Excellent segment, Bob.
Her happiness is infectious. It's a cute setup for someone who wanted to go really micro. Wishing her pleasant journies.
Five minutes in & I’m in love with her! Still plays w Legos, oh my goodness! Keep that spirit. It will take you far🥰
What a lovely lady. Proof that anyone can live in a "tiny" home. Preferably with wheels.😁
Watching this twice, amazed. What a happy soul. Great, Australia.
Thank you for taking away the fear of living in a car! So many people are facing this, if they're not already there. I'm saving your video to encourage me!
What an inspirational person she is, not only for her impressive use of space, but for being grateful and finding happiness in the simple life.❤
WOW! Just WOW! I'm so impressed!!!! I hope she gets to see these comments to encourage her, uplift her for her courage, creativity etc.😀
Love her attitude. Such a pleasant lady. Like to meet her. Cheers to all
She is absolutely adorable! I love her! The sweetest lady! I’m glad she’s happy in her little car! Thanks for sharing! 💜💜💜
Really ENJOYED this video ! She is such a clever person …a true minimalist & it WORKS !
OMG I first met Cindy in September 2022 at Jonnie’s Journey meetup (Jonnie builds luxurious van builds for us nomads) in Fredricktown,MO ❤️
I’ve become friends with Cindy and camped with her for several weeks she’s a joy to be with and her positive attitude is so inspirational to live large in such a small space big hugs Cindy I miss you 🥰🤗❤️🌵👍
Thanks Mark, we will meet again soon.
She’s awesome. Simplify!!!
once when relocating from Portland to the Oregon coast I spent ten days camping in a Smart for two car..which is about the same footprint but way more room in the car...So I appreciate this interview...
It just proves less is more. Cindy has thought about what you need in life to survive. Great job.👍🇦🇺
She has good knees and core muscles to be able to get up from that chair. Have fun.❤
A tent on wheels ? OUTSTANDING ! Once again you didn't disappoint , Bob ! Thanks for the ideas and all you do !
This lady is such a delight! I love how she made a tiny car work for her. I’m a big fan of little cars and quirky decor.
It’s great Cindy has her art and craft supplies, I would pack my knitting bag, I think
Great job. Proves that any vehicle can work for life on the road!
This lady is brilliant!
This makes me feel like my VW Golf is a big car! I traveled for 2 1/2 months during summer 2022 and 2 months summer 2023. This summer I am getting some things done at my house, but plan to head for the desert after Christmas 2024. I carry a tent, but slept in my car with the driver's seat reclined all but 3 nights in hotels on the 2022 trip. In 2923, I stayed only 2 nights in hotels. I did take my tent and bicycle on the ferry to St. Pierre, France, off the coast of Newfiundland. I don't travel like this because I can't afford better, it is just the way I prefer to travel. I like to say my friends take vacations, I go on adventures.
I know Cindy! She has the cutest tiny car and a delightful tiny house. :-)
So Happy for Her!!!!
What fun! I just happened upon this and was thinking how my little Chevy Cruze could easily do this!! It gets great mileage and the Trunk space is very Generous with a pass through with a backseat that folds down making a bed that could go through the backseat and trunk... this could make it better for "stealth camping" ... This lady's FUN LEGGO idea really sparked my thought process... I am still just feeling happy thinking about this! :) THANK YOU BOB! You are a treasure!
Gotta say….that’s an amazing use of a small space! Very cozy.
Like the floor space next to the bed for overnight bathroom use👍
Hi Cindy a little roof rack or box could give you a little more space and you could solar panels in the roof always , also you could tie a tarp for shade finally but a tarp over your car while in the desert like a double roof and stay cooler. Greetings from Panamá
She certainly has a very positive, cheerful attitude!
Can't beat her gas mileage on her small car!
She's fully stocked with her amount of solar- thanks for the tip!
Wishing Her the Best!
I like this video so much that ive watched it twice. I nomadded for 43 days in my rav 4, june and july (yeh, rough) 2017. 6000 miles, from wv to calif, stickin close to route 66, up and down map. $1,500 total cost which incl 2 oil changes. I dont know if i couldve done it without your, rusty 78609, and nomadic fanatics videos prepping me. I wanted to do it since i was 14---hippy movement, you know. Im 71 now. I sat about 100 miles from quartzite,in 100 degree weather, pondering if i could also visit there. I couldnt. Maybe, next life.wow it was fun. A different vavation every day! Love you all.
The Lego storage is brilliant. They're sturdy, stack securely, and they're fun.
She is amazing! So much organization and planning. Very admirable! 😊
Talk about being very well organized in such a compact area. WOW !!! And so happy in her comfort zone.
What a sweetheart in her little buggy! Hope you are doing well and traveling still!!! 💞
She is really a true backpacker.
LOL that thing gets better mileage than my 2005 Prius... 30-35mph with some front bumper drag and probably the original HV battery.
So cute a setup and Cindy seems like a nice, fun person to camp with!
She should see if she can get a tent for the hatchback. I had one for my Toyota Prius, it worked great and didn’t take up much space.
She's so cute. Her home is cute. The Lego storage is super functional for her small car. ❤
I think that this video of Lego storage is so creative. Give her an award for creativity. Thanks for your time and efforts in showing so many ways to do the nomad life style
💯 %!!!❤
Love your set up! So neat, clean and well organized!
She’s proof that we are bogged down with material things. She’s very clever.
Well done, Cindy!!
LOVE the Lego storage. That's right...do it because it makes you happy!!!
The endless creativity of folks living the nomad life never ceases to amaze me! Plenty of ideas to spark my own imagination for when I get started.
💯 %!!!❤
I love the FIAT 500. They're so popular here in Europe and for a FIAT, they're very reliable too! Too small for my big frame but I applaud your ingenuity and your fantastic spirit Cindy! You're such a good advertisement for FIAT and living life on your terms. Bravo! 💚
This is wonderful! Once you've gone backpacking a few times, any automobile feels like a palace. Thanks, Bob, for introducing us to this delightful woman.
Cindy seems so lovely and it's really inspirational to see her doing this. She seems so incredibly happy
Bob,YOU are inspiring!👍👍
I loved her set up and her. She is inspiring and so happy!!!
She still plays with Legos…a lady after my own heart! ❤😂
Oh wow, I LOVE the Lego storage bricks. So cute. They can be organized to each unique storage space. Thanks for sharing.
Bob, you've inspired so many folks, including me. It's a delight to see you surprised by what you've inspired. Travel safely.
Cindy, I love your digs! Everything fits together perfectly and you seem happy! That’s the most important thing! ❤❤❤✌🏻
Absolutely, she's seems very happy!
What a happy woman! Go get it girl! What a great attitude.
Cindy seems so sweet and happy! Wish I could just give her a big ol hug and get some of her positive energy! She’s happy and makes whatever situation she’s in worthwhile and exciting! ❤️☀️
Wow, hats off to her, first!
Lovely lady and sooo inspiring 😍 6 thanks to you Bob for being so curious & respectfull in all your interviews 🤗
the best thing are the bright colors she has in her vehicle. when she was talking about how to sit on a rainy day it looked like a delightful place to be
Another great video! It always makes my heart happy seeing others living this life on their own terms😇🤙🏽
A Fiat with over 100.000 miles is a miracle.........
😂
We europeans used to have many many Fiats and youd be surprised in how much they can do!
IMPRESSIVE!!!
I think your setup is the cutest, and definitely most compact, I've seen yet. I was a bit shocked at the price someone stated on the lego storage boxes, but then again they look very sturdy, so probably don't need to be replaced like less expensive less sturdy units do. I loved the way they fit together so compactly, too. You did an incredible, practical, innovative build! Thanks for sharing it with us!
All your videos are so interesting. Listening to her talk of shampooingreminded me of an experience while nomadding: one morning, i dry shsmpooed with baking soda, a lot of baking soda. That evening, after a hot, sweaty day, i used vinegar to clean my hair. My hair was a thick, gummy mess. Ha
What a wonderful spirit she has, we should all have little things that amazes us happy. Good for her and she thought of everything. Great interview Bob, who would have thought something so tiny would be a happy place to be. Much love and many blessings
Cindy is a delightful person and I commend her for following her dream, happy travels!
Love her attitude! One happy camper!😊
What an adorable build. What a good friend she would make. So cheery and upbeat about everything. Loved this. 💕
