I love how everyone that reacts to this song has like a similar reaction. As soon as it starts they’re just like “oh? Oh. Oooooh!” And they just can’t help but headbang and vibe with it lol and then that jazzy part comes in and then their mind just gets blown 😆

That was the first time I've seen a reactor show their goosebumps and I could actually see them. I love it when that happens. It so mysterious though - like why and how does it happen? So weird, but cool.

I love how this song catches everyone, and I mean EVERYONE off guard at LEAST twice.
First time is hearing how far up the singer's register goes.
Second time is the ending.
And more often than not, the solo is also a freebie third time.

And the best part?
The entire album has that same effect of catching you off guard.
After the third song you start realizing that no matter what you think you can expect, you'll likely still be surprised.

The drummer is so freaking good. Did anyone notice the use of the China trash cymbal during the 2nd half of the screaming? It makes vessel’s screaming sound bigger. Super cool effect
The 2 songs I can't recommend enough are Jaws - my all time favourite song by them! ❤ And Alkaline - the first song I ever heard by them and how I discovered them! 😁 Welcome to the Sleep Token family! Worship 🙌

I think you'd love Italian metal band "Lacuna Coil". Dueling female & male vocals. Cristina Scabbia's voice is ETHERIAL.
Check out "Lacuna Coil" - "Swamped" 2018 live version, or 2002 studio version.
Also "Lacuna Coil" - "Veneficium". She sings in Latin in part of that one. Etherial and so heavy at the same time.Same with "Layers Of Time".
And "Lacuna Coil"- "Daylight Dancer" 2002 studio version is such a banger.
And they have sooo much more good stuff, all the way back to 1998.

I get goosebumps with almost every song by them. Check out some of the old songs by them like Calcutta or Nazareth and of course the offering hypnosis and do a double reaction for that cuz will Ramos covered that one and that is actually how me and many others have discovered sleep token but alkaline is the one that got me hooked and it has a really chill video.

I strongly recommend Vore or Granite as the next ones both of those songs are super dynamic and different. Alternatively if you want to see another artist by the same label Holding Absence are also very impressive, they are more traditional metalcore compared to sleep token but still very good and worth a listen.
(The offerings from II are also worth checking out if you like technical drumming)

Will Ramos from Lorna Shore introduced me to this band. I really didn't appreciate all the songs at first but it became something I needed 😅.
So if you ever get around to it, look for Will Ramos's Cover of Hypnosis. It is one of those rare, "better than the original" covers, but only in the sense that he made that song flow better and added growlly bits.
Hot take, I would say the original is far superior. Biased af though

Chipping in; Ramos done a phenomenal cover but the original is still better. No one can recreate that Sleep Token sound and feeling.
Haha, that's totally understandable because it is an amazing song on its own. But Will gave it this beautifully smooth element that complimented the sultry nature of the lyrics better than the rough drops and pitch breaks. Over time, I did end up liking the original, but it still wasn't my favorite compared to other songs on that album or the way Will sung it.
I’ve said it many times that Wills cover didn’t have the emotional element with it. It was sung well, but that doesn’t make the song for me. I felt it much more with his cover of Chokehold. He did a great job on that one. Maybe it’s the growls that distracted me?
