Gearboxes are less maintenance than chains and half the manual grease zerks as well on a new holland. Massey is definitely second easiest to maintain big NH wins the title of simplicity and ease of maintenance
Have you had any clearance issues between the packer forks and the stuffer ? I had my stuffer get bent up and my local NH dealer did all the repairs although now my stuffer to packer forks are rubbing with the stuffer at home position. any clues ? NH dealer believes they may have used the wrong stuffer since machine is a 2013 they think I’m may take a BB9080 Stuffer I’ve only got about 300 bales on machine since repairs and Stuffer has once again crashed.
At one time Hesston had a line that could play well with New Holland but like everything else Agco has trimmed down Names and brands . Going to be interesting to see where Agco is in another 10 years since they have been downsizing since the start in 1990. Agco had a chance to be part of Fiat but they went to SLH for small tractors and tossed the Fiat deal with hesston in 1991 . Bob Ratliff had made remarks in his 1991 dealer Agco Dealer meeting and they did Bleed off dealers to New Holland
New Holland had a bad start in the big baler market and forced a lot of people to Heston, Heston has made a good baler that hasn’t changed much for years. New Holland now has not just a good baler they have a fantastic baler in the 340 plus!
I was wondering if you can do a video on the hay preservative applicator, I make small bales and after a very wet first cut hay last year I'm looking at harvest tec system or gazeeka hay moisture tester and applicator. Seeing it on all you bales I was wondering what your experience has been and how/if it has changed how you bale { like if you start to bale longer into the dew at night or damp hay to help leaf loss / bad weather} . Thank you.

Still can’t argue with the simplicity and ease of operation on a Hesston! Plus maintenance cost- does it even exist, barely!

I’m curious what kind of bale weight you can get in straw with new holland vs Massey xd
New holland consistently 1550-1650lbs per bale at 0-12% moisture in alfalfa and 1300lbs at 0-12% in grass and grain hay for us
Had a new Hollander rollabelt round baler….never ever again.

I don’t really see an hd in my future as the plus model is cheaper and does everything I want it to do at a low maintenance cost
