I’ve owned a bb340 never again. I’m glad it works for you my last krone 1290 I sold it this year had 88,000 bales put about 6500 a year in it. Got a new 1290 high speed hdp. I’ll try a Massey before I’ll go back to NH
New Holland hay equipment is hard to beat. Something new comes around and you think NH may be behind at times but their design on things are tried and true. I’ve gone to different brands on baler and mower only to regret my decision and trade back to NH.
I know of a couple people, not a real big fan of them. They are extremely hard on your bailer, rusts out your bearings in your header and feeder prematurely, there are certain situations where they work really well because you just absolutely cannot ever get a dew. The problem is the guys that I know that run them manage the hay to steam it instead of using it only when they need it so there hay never looks as good as it should. Basically they buy them because they want to wake up at 10 in the morning and bale all day when it’s 100 degrees. And then add steam to that already 100 degree hay... Doesn’t turn out very pretty.
We ran a case lbx433 2009 model…. It was pure junk compared to even a 4900 Hesston…. We replaced the header reel assembly the packer broke in 2 all the packer crank bearings twice many pickup teeth and the ribs between them all of that before the machine hit 40000 bales. That coupled with poor service in our area and we won’t own another New Holland. This was baling mostly alfalfa too. I figured they had to be better based on the number they sell but our experience was terrible. We run a hesston and massy now
Honestly it sounds like very very poor maintenance I have never seen a packer break or bearings go out unless it wasn’t getting greased. I’ve had one packer failure out of the 20 new holland balers we have ran and it was because the operator was not greasing it.
Wasn’t for a lack of grease, personally I kinda felt like it was a bit of a lemon. Also a lack of steal the packer bearings in a hesston are considerably bigger than the ones in the case we had. The packer itself broke after my time and the new guy may have been pushing it to make heavier bales than he should have….this baler belongs to the neighbor who I ran his farms for i also farm my self across the road, when I quit them I got lots of calls about this broke what do we do?…. Another wired thing that I experienced with my time running it I broke the bolt that connects the load cell assembly to the frame/ gear box, have you ever had that to break.
@@jamesleonard4607 yes I’ve broke many load cell bolts just nature of the beast I break one about every 30k bales on some balers. But the packer bearings of greased correct will last about 20-30k bales before replacing we re shim every season to keep slop out and obviously check daily to make sure the grease lines haven’t broke off but the 2270 packer vs a 340 plus packer there is no comparison for reliability because the new holland is on an auto lube system I’ve seen many 2170 and 2270 packers being replaced not because of bad design but because of lack of maintenance. The only new holland packers I’ve seen fail is because of the same thing lack of maintenance.
Thanks for sharing. Your video is well done with no embellishments unlike some of the competitive owners you mentioned.
I think Lonely can tear up an anvil.
He dont hate the baler, he hates the pickup
Nice videos

I seen your bales they look nice and tight, what are your bales sold as are they for horses.
Horses Dairy and export
Thanks for your video. One lonely farmer is lonely for a reason.
No hate I'm a new holland man. But any machine should last the way it sounds like you look after these balers.
Less maintenance is needed cheaper to maintain
Do you know of anyone who runs them with stemers

The opinion of one lonely farmer means absolutely nothing
I don't watch him anymore, got tired of all his bullshit.
