Okay guys so I need help I turned the debugger on on my phone I didn't do the update and on the fourth try immediately after I turn the debugger on it bypassed the first screen got to the second screen about one out of 15 tries it would connect and mirror after I turn the debugging on I have not done the update and it works like one out of 20 tries if I do the update do you think it'll link every time or is there something else going on thanks guys
So after reaching out to the company the radio doesn’t support android 10 or newer or IOS which sucks because I can no longer use either of my phones to mirror
@@TheCarEMT I'm not too tech savvy I have a Motorola Moto G5 the best I can find on the specs is it has a 7.0 Android operating system I don't understand what you guys are talking about as far as the Android 10 or 8 lower does does anybody know if the Motorola Moto G5 is compatible I can get it to me or up with it once in a blue moon but still have yet to update it also I'm not sure how to do the update as far as what website to go to etc

I got mine put in last week and I'm having trouble mirroring my phone. I click the phone links and connect my usb and it just keeps loading. The phone I have a S21 Ultra

Honestly, you should return it you can find a way better radio for cheaper and one that fits the factory set up of your car with a 10 inch screen seven years ago. This radio was great but it is way outdated

So I'm at Best buy we did everything put the SD card in well first of all we couldn't get the SD card out without the stereo being on so I don't know if that has something to do with it but it's reading the SD card but it's going to Chinese and it's going to the mirror my phone screen straight to it it's not doing anything else and it's not updating
After you download the update onto the SD card and you insert it into the radio you’re going to see a bunch of coding going on and once it’s done you’re going to see a picture of a car driving past windmills and that’s how you know the update is complete then you turn off the radio and remove the SD card put the original SD card back into the radio and as long as your phone is debugged and you have the easycon app it should Mirror if you have android software at 10 or newer it’s not going to work
@@TheCarEMT when we put the card in it didn't do anything and also I couldn't get the card in and out of my radio without it being on when you did yours did you did yours before the installation sort of or did you have to remove the cage and pull the radio back out
@@TheCarEMT the only way I could do it was to turn the radio on switch the cards once I tilted the screen so I could access it then turn it back off and turn it back on again I wasn't able to switch the cards while the stereo was 100% off without popping the deck out of the dashboard
@@josephd1257 the sd card slot is on the side for the main screen when it’s close you shouldn’t have to power on the radio to remove it
@@josephd1257 you have the radio set in too far removing the as card while it’s powered on could cause the card to get corrupted
So I'm wondering if when I go to the download to download it do I put my new SD card in when I just before I start to download the app
Download the app unlock your phone then plug it to the radio that is after you updated the radio using a separate sd card

Did you use the sd card that came with the radio to update it if so that may be your problem I do have another 1 from the same radio because I sent 1 back to the manufacturer
What do you press on the stereo to start pair mode to pair with phone
Jus make sure it's on the Bluetooth phone part of the screen try it with the top screen closed

Hay mate, just wounding do you need to connect the phone with a USB cord to connect the phone or dose Bluetooth work? And dose the newer phones work like the note 10+
You have have it connected to bluetooth and plugged in at the same time and yes this works on all Android devices

Only when the screen is closed to a single screen so if you didn't want to use the top screen you don't have to

There is a usb on the back of the radio I ran it to come out of thr glove compartment and you use your phone charger wire to plug it up
That's what I thought you were using. I ran it and secured it. I got the usb debug on and it gets past 1st step " connecting your mob " but doesn't go any further it stays on number 2 " install interconnection service "
I have easycon downloaded and I thought everything was good to go. Please help lol. Also idk if it matters or not but I know you made this video a little bit back I just got my radio about a month ago. Do I still need to do the thing you said with update and other micro SD card? Thanks

@@mikemcdonnell3473 sometimes it takes a minute or 2 but make sure your debugging is on restart your phone and did you update the radio?
@@TheCarEMT hey bro no didn't update radio I honestly wasn't sure if I'd still have to do that update or if it was something they already did to radios that are being sent out now know what I mean? I let it sit there for about 10 minutes and it never went past that 2nd set so idk I'll try again tomorrow with restarting phone and see if that works if not maybe I will need to try the update as well and go from there. Also hooked up antenna adapter to radio and I pick up no channels at all smh. I appreciate your time and help bro.

I went to Soudstream website to download the update however the only thing under support is manual.
The website has changed a little but the update is still there I'll check it and let you know how to access it

You need a different sd card to update the radio so you don't ruin the 1 that came with the radio because it goes back in the radio when you are done updating it and you download the update from the website as I instructed in the video you have to follow my instructions don't skip through the video
I am trying to pair the phone to the bluetooth on the stereo but it won't let me any suggestions on how you do that I followed the instructions in the manual but they don't work
Delete it from you phone go to the Bluetooth part of the radio and then have your phone search for the radio also you may want to restart your phone after deleting the radio before attempting to reconnect it
The Soundstream website is not showing the update link to download for this radio. Any help would be appreciated
Have you searched for the radio and read the specs tab there's also a support tab

How do you stop the radio from cutting down the volume while you are driving? Its like it cuts down by itself
I never had that issue you might have wired something wrong or see if the radio have a setting that auto adjust while driving
Check your navigation setting it could be giving you a notification. Like if I'm speading it lower the volume to tell me. Maybe you notification volume low so you don't hear it

No this for this radio there is a way to do it with other radios but you need a special kit
Can you use a tablet to download the data to sd card
I'm not exactly sure I didn't try because whenever you put an SD card inside of a tablet it has extra files I didn't want to take that chance

I have the same SoundStream and im having issues with the navigation giving me the correct ETA. I also noticed that the Trip Data Details has the wrong date/time. Is there any way i can fix it or any update available that would fix it though i looked at their website in the support tab but couldn't find anything related to this issue.
Make sure there is nothing blocking the navigation antenna when I had mine behind the dash it wasn't picking up my location also you have 2 different settings you have the radio settings and the navigation settings
@@TheCarEMT Thanks for the response. I checked both settings and couldn't find anything that is related to setting the ETA or anything of that nature. Both clocks on the navigation and the device match but when i put in a destination on the GPS that's when it gives me the incorrect Estimated time of arrival and the Day/Night feature on bthe GPS settings does not work properly though when it is in auto mode it gives me night mode during the day and both day/night during the night and what i do is leave it in day mode vs in auto. I also searched their website for any update but the only updates i found were for specific vehicles that aren't mine. Also, my phone link feature doesn't work. I downloaded the MHL update as you stated and explained in the video but when i inserted the SD card in to the radio everything was in Chinese language and it would not update anything as i couldn't understand what it was saying. Not sure as to what i can do though i'd like to get the ETA issue fixed though without it my navigation doesn't work properly unfortunately.
If your navigation antenna picking up the satellite because when it picks up your location it automatically connects to the satellite it automatically sets your region because of your location and then you can set your date and time on the radio I don't remember exactly how to navigate through the settings because I broke my screen and I need to replace my radio but I do remember when my GPS antenna connected to the satellite it corrected itself as far as day and night
@@TheCarEMT My antenna is on top of my dash in the center and it picks up the signal just fine with no issues it only gives me the incorrect ETA only when i punch in a destination. I went to the GPS website where you update it and notified them of the issue and they said that its a device (radio) issue not the GPS and that the radio is using a wrong encoding method because its giving the GPS a wrong date but when you go to the settings on the radio it shows the correct date but it's giving the GPS the wrong one which is strange.
@@Bernard-H did you download the correct update I should have made a video on how to update it and been more specific but if you like I can make a video showing the site in the update and everything and upload it this evening to help

I like the to mirror my phone better my other Jeep had Android auto and it's very limited even with a bypass

I can upload a clip on my IG it's the same name as the channel I had 2 years and it to 6 months to figure it out there are no instructions the radio has an sd card already but you don't wanna use that for the update

No I tried with an IPad the easy con app isn't available in app store
I did everyyhing u said and it did not update.. Went to the phone link and it showd chinese writing.. Popped original sd card in and it went back to normal without the update.. I been trying for months... PLEASE HELP
If the scene went black with green and blue writing and then a car with windmills popped up when you were done the update worked it should look normal when you put the old sd card back in your next step is to debug your phone and download the easy con app
@@TheCarEMT i have all that setup on my phone.. I put the updated sd card in the unit turn it on and nothing happens. It turns on and goes to the cosole screen (screen showing here in beginning of your video).
What happens when you turn the debugging on your phone and plug it up with the app open and go to phonelink what happens do the radio do anything
@@TheCarEMT with the update sd card still plugged in it goes to the phonelink connection screen but its chinese language and it stills stop on #2.. Then when i put the original sd card back in its still not updated and its back to english
@@K3mp1 the update changes nothing it should look the same when you put the original sd card back in when you plug your phone up with the EasyCon app open it should start loading and it will take a minute or 2

The radio already comes with the Micro sd card in it to update it you have to remove that 1 and put 1 with the update file in it

There is a USB cable that comes out the back of the radio I ran it through the glove compartment

My phone don't take a SD card so what I do
What you have to do is take a microSD card use a a computer to go to the Soundstream website download the update onto the SD card and then you follow my steps in a video to update it and you should be good to go you can not update the SD card from your phone even if your phone accepted an SD card it has to be done with the computer a laptop or desktop
