    That Skyward Sword Wii channel was used to fix a game-breaking bug that occured late in the game if you talked to a certain NPC. If you did, other events in the game would never trigger and you would unable to complete the game as a result. That's what that channel was for. It was essentially a 'patch' you had to download from the Wii Shop to fix it.

      @@qqjonson1234 This was the Wii. It didn't update automatically like the PS3 or 360 did. Iirc, this was the only instance this ever occured where you had to download a patch from the Wii store to fix the game. I'm sure this was fixed in later releases, but to buy the game again to fix a glitch would be an insane mindset to have, everyone would be outraged.

      @Haktendoo Před měsícem +34

      @@qqjonson1234because the Wii isn’t capable holding game data. It plays the game straight off the disk. It never installs to the system at all. Which means what ever bugs you get on the disk it’s what you get and there’s no way I’m patching it. The save file update channel patches the save file for you to bypass that bug in the game.

    The Zelda Save Repair channel was to help out with a softlock that happened in "Skyward Sword". Late in the game, when you finish an objective and then talk to a certain NPC, the game's events will not progress and the game becomes unable to continue. The repair channel simply applied a patch that fixed the save data so the game would continue to go.

    Alright so, coming from someone who worked at a game store for over a year, when you test Wiis you NEED to use a gold disc. Super Smash Bros Brawl is the best example. Gold discs are always the hardest to read and I've come across MANY Wiis in my time that worked perfectly fine with mario kart or wii sports but just absolutely would NOT read a gold disc. Always test your disc drive with gold discs first. That also includes ps2s and backwards compatible ps3s that had to read like 4 different disc colors.

    That second one with just Super Metroid. I am willing to bet that whoever had that Wii bought it second hand (or was given to them). You are probably getting it third hand.
    Bubble Bobble was originally an arcade game that came out in 1986. I remember playing that in the arcade as a kid. Of course, there was an NES port, which you are seeing on the Wii. There were multiple sequels and alternate versions that came out over the years, with the most recent in 2019! Rainbow Islands is a spinoff of Bubble Bobble. It was a fun game and definitely worth checking out.
    Lastly, yes, you can transfer your Miis to the Wii U. I've done it when I got a Wii U. I do still have my Wii as well, but it is at my other place up at the mountain where I go skiing.

    On the topic of invincible Wii sports discs, I recently got a copy from a buddy of mine, as I found my old Wii a few months back. The disc was extremely scratched up, like completely mutilated, but I put it in and it showed up, only to show the “The disc could not be read” message. So I used the ol’ toothpaste trick, and now it works mostly, if the message pops up you just have to try again a couple times. It’s mind boggling how that disc still works, it looks like it was sitting in a bucket of stones!

    to me ofr the gamestop one looks like it was more than anything dropped and or dragged on the ground so if it was not turned into gamestop so it's possible it was damaged before gamestop and they did some things inside of it

    should be testing them with a dobule data disc like super smash brawl or meele or whatever one the wii one is called. since some wiis can break where do NOT read double disc but DO read single disc. also wonder if they are all 4.3 or if some are lower considering most the time unmodded?

    I could use an old Soft Modded Wii to play the imported Pretty Cure dance game I burned on a DVD. An older Wii which can read DVDs.

      I had to turn the video off a quarter of the way through it. He said "Let's go" practically every other sentence, along with "Dude", "Awesome", "I accidentally turned it on", and "Let's start exploring". It was just too much to bear.
