This is the sad prequel from 1981.But the kind of 'sequel' to this gem came in 2021 with their comeback VOYAGE blaster 'Don't shut me down'..Nostalgic and pretty impactful.

These is ABBA, the iconic Swedish pop quartet, the best, most versatile and most important of the 70s, in the post BEATLES decade (the revolutionary group of the 60s)
ABBA, as in its time BEATLES, was a musical and cultural phenomenon, and its legacy lives on
ABBA is the biggest musical act in the history of both continental Europe and the non-English speaking world They are the first non-English speaking group to have considerable success in major English-speaking countries And is the first group to break with the hegemony of NorthAmerican, English and Australian artists in the music market dominated by British culture.
ABBA is an acronim with the initials of their first names; initialy was two swedish couples too:
A- Agnetha (blonde lead vocal) &
    B- Björn (guitarist and songwriter)
B- Benny (pianist and songwriter) &
A- Anni Frid (brunette lead vocal)
(both couples separated before the breakup of the group in 1982)
ABBA recording between 1972/1982, have a wonderful series of more than 20 worldwide hits,
    included nine #1 in UK:
    Waterloo
    Mamma Mia
    Fernando
    Dancing Queen
    Knowing me knowing you
    The name of the game
    Take a chance on me
    The winner takes it all
    Super trouper
And after more than 35 years ABBA return to studio in 2017 and recording a full new album "Voyage" between 2017/2021 released in November 2021 and is a worldwide succes
And in last May 2022 all four ABBA members asist to the premiere of the new Voyage concerts (with avatars of Theirself) in the new ABBA Arena at London UK (another greatest success,, with tickets on sale to November 2023)
ABBA begin Your famous when They win the classic Eurovisión Song Contest in UK with the icónic song Waterloo in April 6 (1974) exactly 49 years ago
The ages of all ABBA members now is
73 Agnetha Fältskog (last April 5 her birthday)
    76 Benny Andersson
77 Björn Ulvaeus (April 25 his 78 birthday) & Anni Frid (Frida) Lyngstad
I hope to see more reactions to ABBA
    GOD bless you

Björn and Agnetha were marred to each other and so was Benny and Frida. ABBA has plenty of upbeat and happy songs, but I wouldn't say this kind of song was rare for them. They have quite a few less happy ones. Check out The Winner Takes It All for example. About Agnetha and Björn's divorce. Knowing Me Knowing You is another less happy one. I also recommend Happy New Year, Super Trouper and Fernando.

Please react to I`m a marionette, The day before you came, When all is said and done, Eagle (album version) and Hole in your soul. Just to hear how versatile they really are. Absolutely fantastic band. Saying you don`t know Abba is like saying you don`t know much about The Beatles. Really. The most successful pop group of all times. There`s a reason for it. Just check it out and you`ll hear it yourself.

I don't know much about the Beatles either 😂😂 before my time and I never caught up, don't forget we didn't have stuff readily available on the internet back in the 80's so all I've heard from abba and the Beatles has only ever really been at parties like I said in the video 😁

hello, so nice to see you for first time, and to reaction ABBA songs
there is much to say about
    "One of us" (1981)
    1) It is a beautiful song, it has a soft melody and melancholic lyrics that allow Agnetha to shine with a very sweet voice, and a catchy and harmonic chorus
    2) was ABBA's last big hit, #1 in several European countries and #3 in the UK
(last single Top 10 of their 18 consecutives between 1975/1982)
    3) recorded at the end of 1981, the two couples were already separated
(Agnetha & Björn almost 3 years ago, Benny & Frida a few months ago)
    4) the official video is very good, it shows Agnetha (with a more mature beauty)
acting sober and convincing rebuilding a love life from a move
    5) In my opinion it is together with "Slipping through my fingers" the best song from the album "The Visitors" ,
where the melancholy and rawness of their lyrics is most pronounced
in the context of a complex album of musical exploration away from ABBA's signature pop,
and an image of the four singles over the two couples
"One of Us" is one of the ABBA breakup song that was a worldwide hit
since "S.O.S." (1975) follow by "Knowing me knowing you" (1976/77)
and adeed "The winner takes it all" (1980/81) and "When all is said and done" (1981/82)
the breakup songs is a trendmark of ABBA, sad lyrics with catchy melodies
some fans said, with ABBA comeback in 2021,
that the new song "Don't shut me down" is a sequence of "One of us" after 40 years
"Don't shut me down" (2021) is a fantastic song, a new ABBA masterpiece,
and last Top10 in UK to ABBA an other countries, included #1 in Sweden and Switzerland
and now was nominated to Grammys 2023, with the new album "Voyage"
do you like to react "Don't shut me down"?
    My greetings to you from
    Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷

If you are a rocker you'll propably be amazed at some of their deep cut rock stuff.Such as the hard Glam metal rock gem "WATCH OUT!'(fab guitar riff, not believing it's Abba indeed),The rock operatic "Hole in your soul' featuring Agnetha's high voltage electric scream, the Prog rock "EAGLE' (but only the over 5 minutes FULL lenght album version with the magical guitar solo)not the mention the haunting "I"m a Marrionette' that Ghost covered with Nirvana's/FF's David Grohl.Abba's pop has got kinda weirdly an importsnt following from metalheads and some punks btw.

If you like music you should really check in ABBA much more, for example some of the little less know amazing gems like - The Name Of The Game or Eagle (long version). ABBA has a huge great catalog, in many different styles with a lots of influences. They gave inspiration to many aswell.
ABBA was singing in 5 (!) languages, is popular all over the would, loved by everyone from children to older or metal rockers and their music is timeless, still feels so easy to relative to and fresh after soon 50 years. The voices of the girls are topnotch and the harmony is extraordinary. Follow their journey from 1973-82. You won’t be disapointed. ABBA is the best selling band ever not having English as the first language, almost 500 M depending on how you count in the world.
