I did research myself. I also think the nicest 2020 XC alloy frame from mainstream brand is Merida. I have seen it in a bike shop and it’s stunning!🤩 Also, there was never an alloy Cannondale fsi, the last proper XC alloy frame from Cannondale one was F29 and I also miss it🥺
I have chosen Canyon al sl 8.0 because i believe is very well equiped for the price and weights around 13 kg with a droper post included. Have you checked the 8.0 version?
Good review Danny and love your channel. I think the Rose Count is 27.5 not a 29er. Ideally we shouldn't compare 27.5s to 29ers as their riding characteristics are different.
Vitus had a 2020 model of the Rapide and Rapide VR. The latter came equipped with the Reba with either SX or NX drivetrain and went for I think $1400. I'm guessing it must have been released some time after this vid was made.
Why are Cannondale Trail series bikes so heavy? I've seen quite a few bikes with similar specs that are always a couple KGs lighter than the Cannondales, even ones with heavier coil spring forks. Something like a Polygon Xtrada 6 is a prime example. With similar specs you'd think the weight would be around the same but the Cannondales always seem to run a bit heavier.
I have a Canondale trail SL2 2015 29” and stock weight 27 pounds, 12.2 kg including pedals and water bottle support. I can’t believe the new one weight that much. No pedals and no bottle water support weight just 25 pounds, 11.35 kg. On scale.
