  • Today on Budget Outlaws we'll discuss how to build a fuel system for your Outlaw based on your goals. When you're swapping engines, the stock fuel system it's always going to cut it. We'll show how to size your Injectors, fuel pump, fuel lines and even wiring so that you won't run out of fuel at your power level.
Using the calculators below you can pick the right components for your Porsche, Audi, Chevy, Honda or whatever!

One of my favourite channels. A demystifying explanation. Great job 👍

New subscriber here and I'm really liking that little detail with leaving time stamp references, or "chapters" if you will. Truly putting the viewer first. Salud!

Hello how are you doing? I have an Audi TT 2003 and I will love to tuning my car how much it would cost? And thank you very much.

I am planning on building this exact same engine in my Audi A4 B5. It currently has the 1.8 non turbo APR engine and I want to swop it with the AEB also with 500 hp in mind. Fuel used will be 95 unleaded pump gas as this will be my daily. Will it cost a lot more to mod on pump gas than E85 to get to 500hp (on the wheels) ?Also will this be an issue on a FWD (wheelspin / torque steer) ? If build correctly what will the reliability and longevity be for daily driving not racing ? You did not elaborate on the fuel rail. What do you recommend or what did you use ? What management system will be best for this mod (on a budget) ? Thanx for great vids and info ; )

95RON Isn't going to get you to 500whp IMHO. There's a point where its just going to take to much timing out to make the boost required and that is a sliding scale...
Unless you have another power adder..
I would figure for using E85. It'll be much cheaper and safer.
You will 100% have issues with wheel spin. Torque steer shouldn't be to bad because the B5 fwd has equal length shafts. Plan for a boost by gear/speed controller.
That much power you might need a fuel rail, it's not a bad idea. I went into the fuel rail a bit more in another video(latest vid) but the stock rail isn't that bad. I don't know if it's 500whp capable though.
ME7.5 is a solid ECU and can more than handle the power. I use Maestro for tuning with my tuner. Use a wideband harness so you can get a good tune on it.
5speed reliability with that much power might be suspect. Keep the boost ramp slow and it'll help but I would plan to at least swap to the later 6spd trans for a bit more strength.
      Good luck!

FYI i have done a non turbo turbo conversion on the stock bottom end all done by myself. You cannot run 500 hp on b5 fwd, youll snap the axels if you can even put it down but you cant even with slicks, there is no diff.

That's because it doesn't exist yet! Unfortunately I take a lot of time in my videos. But don't worry it's coming!

Just ask your question here that way if others have the same question they can see the responses. I typically respond within a day.

What will be the recommendation on the b6 fuel return less part and way to upgrade all for 1000 whp

    • @budgetoutlaws9978
      @budgetoutlaws9978  Před 3 lety

First off I'm not familiar enough with the returnless style fuel systems to recommend you using that on such a high horsepower application.
I would reccomend AN 10 fuel lines from the tank, and probably a dual pump Bosch 044 or better. A large surge tank would help. And 2200CC injectors or better. What fuel do you want to run?
1000whp is quite a big number. Not many guys in that territory. Gotta start worrying about the blocks and cranks at that point not to mention everything else.
      Drag car I assume?
Good luck bud! Keep us posted!

Well with 600 whp I’ll be ok but I want to build right for more but still have some blank areas on this build
