This guy is a product of his time, capitalizing on the needs of the ninja boom generation.
Imagine the kicks his students were having watching this fantasy ninja grandmaster show off with his katanas and fancy ninja uniforms.
Dude, he broke the guys neck like 6 times. Definitely a Ninja.
You know what's really amazing? I'm an amateur magician, and his sleight of hand with that ball is actually not bad -- as in, those were real, known techniques of stage and parlor manipulation acts, so he was either classically trained or actually studied the classical textbooks of something that he could have actually used to make an honest living instead of going to 100x more trouble to fake bullshido.
I lost my shit watching the 27 deadly strikes, best comedy since The Plank.
I am
No really he can really make things disappear when I was a kid I bought one of his books that $8 disappeared fast.
😂😂
Me too, bro.... Me too....
I bought 3 of his books and learned.
I love how they actually never moved the hula hoop under him.
It's like they were hellbent on making the worst magic trick ever. Even David Copperfield flew through several rings. Does that means he's a much better ninja?
Yes. He is a better ninja. That is all.
I legit thought that the guy with the hoola hoop was trying to demonstrate that he hadn't started levitating yet lol.
There was a magician on Saturday mornings who did tricks like that with his wife, in the 60s, and it was very entertaining. His son performed tricks at the end of each show
That was intentional, how did you miss that?
INCREDIBLE that he sold a lot of books and Instructional videos. He was said to be able to fart with such force it propelled his body forward a few feet.
And it was music coming out of his ass
I’m revisiting this one. Ashida Kim is absolutely hilarious. Huge shocker that he and Frank Dux are good buds.
Assasin?.. LOL.. more like just ASS! .. lol
Double tiger claw ripping off any remaining flesh. Hahaha.
The video where he is dodging imaginary bullets...it sounds like the air gun audio from Home Alone, when he is shooting action figures down the laundry chute.
😂😂😂
Hah I think you are right
Sorry, he forgot to restomp the groin..... not legit at all
Yeah, Master Ken would slap the shit out of this guy.
:D
Ashida Kim is bullshit
This is shit, Amerido-te is better
Aaron Hydes I see you too are a student of the Great Master Ken.
this is why is important to kids to play and have fun... otherwise you end up being an old fart playing silly games.
Nice comment btw... Lol😂😂😂
or maybe he’s using the fantasies of the kids to get ez money
It’s kind of depressing how accurate this is
9:24 "Tiger claw, ripping any remaining flesh"
I died at that one 😂
Its called "ripping a new rectum".
27 death strikes
kid from Simpsons:
"Stop! He's already dead!
Son of Lars, this HAS to be either some weird attempt at performance art, or it just plainly one of the funniest satires I have ever seen.
I wish that were true, but sadly this guy is the real deal (a real crackpot, that is)
I like his "double dragon stomps". Very legit
Man, my stomach is killing me right now, from all the sweet Ninjutsu moves I just learned... what? It's all fake? Doing the worm isn't a martial arts conditioning technique?! Every single gang member, mafia enforcer or common street thug knows at least 20 of the death techniques in the last part of the video? Damn, I was just setting up my gun range to snatch 'life from the jaws of death' by catching a bullet! Say what? I would literally be snatching 'life from the jaws of life'? Ouch... I want a refund!!! Lol, great video man! I just barely remember seeing something long, long ago about this fool. Literally prior to the internet as we know it today. Took all of 1/2 of a second to utter a pssssht! and ROFL! Thanks for taking the time to make this.
Asian mysticism: "Break like the wind..." Wait a minute, that was a Spinal Tap tour..
I wish they made a fighting game featuring Ashida Kim, Frank Dux, and various other Bullshido masters, and the end game boss is Steven Segall.
Edit: WHOA! HOLY SHIT! DID YOU SEE HOW THIS GUY DETACHED HIS THUMB!? AND THE REATTACHED IT!?
I literally peed a little laughing so hard. I have done martial arts since I was 5 and have never seen such stupid crap in my 45 years in dojos.
Glad you liked it!
Sadly, as bad as Ashida Kim is, there are worse (or at the very least, more fantastical) bullshido artists out there. At the very least, Ashida Kim doesn't claim to do No Touch KOs.
"Double tiger claw, ripping off any remaining flesh". I'm still laughing.
I had one of his books in the 80's and I still remember something about snuffing the candle with nunchukus and crushing the medula oblongata
Watching the "magic trick" was embarrassing. I began learning magic when I was seven and I was better than that!
I literally went on the internet and learned the thumb trick before filming the video, and I feel that with a few more days of practice I could be a better magician than Ashida.
do I need the mask to dodge bullets?
russell richard yes. It's tactical.
No. you need that magic mask he's wearing and you need his training or it just will not work.
my favorite one is when he is 'sneaking' up on the guard and the guy walks in a big circle to turn around. that shit had me weak! :D
I didn't know flour can make highly trained soldiers drop their guns so easily..
Ah, but maybe is 'ninja magical flour'?
I thought Ninjas were supposed to be silent...why is he yelling while doing multiple tiger claw strikes?
Mike C bcoz thats not ninjitsu tiger claw, thats fist of the north star.so he need yelling...just like kenshiro lol
Crypto Miguel until you've taken a man's life with a tiger claw/ reverse tiger claw combo, try not to judge. Honestly you just sound stupid right now.
**finishing pose**
also ninjas supposed to avoid been seen and fighting at all cost, and only dose when it's needed, ninjas are supposed to be silent, and try to go for the kill with their weapons and then leave the area.
what Ashida Kim is doing is not Ninja stuff, it's Bullshito.
How did he survive for so long?
Probably because
1) there was scant information available about ninjutsu during the ninja boom
2) videos were rare as equipment was bulky and very expensive for amateurs so you couldn’t examine his technique closely; anything works in still photography
3) He knew his market…largely alienated and unathletic teenage boys or mall ninja types
4) there was still a culture of belief regarding “deadly” techniques, secret styles etc. Martial arts were still quite fringe during the 80s
Ashida Kim is very good at talking bullshit, and the fact information on him was so scant fuelled the mystery and ironically, the authenticity
From my own experience I remember how Wing Chun was being hawked as the great ultimate style due to the attachment to Bruce Lee
I finally get to see a video produced by Michael Tse featuring Ip Man’s son, Ip Chun
It was laughably bad…the “attackers” took huge, slow lunging attacks whilst Ip Chun returned at breakneck speed. There was live resistance (yes I know it’s for instruction but still)
When he demonstrated Si Lum Tao he could barely keep his balance performing a side kick to the knee!
I can forgive someone being past their prime but when GM Hwang Jang Lee of TKD & countless Hong Kong movies can still outkick students half his age…well?!?
frank dux, ashida kim, and count dante, masters of fail fu.
This makes “Gymkata” look like a documentary. Every town needs a pummel horse in the center square just in case.
RIDING THE WIND, what he really means is passing gas lmao
That’s about all the man is really good for. Learning how to fart better…. 😂🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣
“Riding the wind…”. 😂🤣😂😂😂😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂
so this is the infamous ashida kim.. this loon actually had students??
I don't know if he actually had students, but he did sell more books then he deserved to.
I was just reading on him online now, got curious.
seems he had and still has some students. can't even feel sorry for this guy, he seems like a complete scumbag, a lying con man with serious delussions
Странно Хрипы I just saw it. And yeah. Our Master is amazing. These guys are but a stain on humanity. We can cleanse them with the true way of the ninja.
Well... I used to read his books. When I was ten.
@@KallenMalefic LOFL........LAUGH OUTFUCKIN LOUD.......right.
I’d like to thank this community for telling me not to take CZcams ninjas seriously when I was 12
Wait wait I actually read one of Ashida's books and you know what he copied Count Dante's infamous Kata Dan'te word for word he just called it Dragon Fire Fist or something
That was seriously fun! :D I really loved his "27 deathblows" or whatever it was - "ripping of the face" etc. hahaha! Epic case of a dude living in his own fantasy land :D But then again - would martial arts really have been so appealing to us as kids, had we not seen crackpots like this guy and the many crazy B-movie ninja-films of the 80's? They were pure gold back then, and a big reason for me to get into real martial arts and therefore go on to study kung fu for 10 years. I think we should almost pay homage to this guy instead - almost ;) Funny guy though :D
Yeah, I got into MA from movies too. The main difference is that Sho Kosugi and guys like that actually knew real martial arts that they were exaggerating for the movies, whereas Ashida Kim is just a fraud.
Speaking of his 27 death blows, that's actually a rip-off of another martial arts fraud: Count Dante and the "Dance of Death", which I might do a video on sometime in the future.
Glad you liked the video.
It's not a rip off from Count Dante, This fool paid for it out the back of a comic book. Count Dante's most successful student of all times right there. Put that stuff to good use. Might even have made more money than Mater Dante.
I bought secrets of the ninja when I was 12 and did everything that the book said I was a "ninja wannabe" I wanted to be a ninja so bad and at the time had a collection f NINJa magazine
it looks like your watching Saturday Night Live and they doing a scene like jim carey did on living color .it is funny
Wow, did you see him rip that guys face off with double tiger claws??
I was more impressed with the double dragon stomps myself.
Larsen Halleck I've played all those games and never once seen that stomp. This dude is full of shit!!
lol
People haven't realized, most of his techniques are from American and British hand to hand combat manuals.
thanks for sharing Larsen Halleck
10:25 he forgot to restomp the groin
Holy crap. Thats bloody funny. I’m no longer scared of ninjas 😳
Heck, I wouldn’t even need to break a sweat to beat this guy’s ass to a bloody pulp. Just go right up to the man, keep your elbows down (no telegraphing) and one solid cross punch right to the nose will knock the man clean out. Maybe I’d do a little footwork to throw him off first. Maybe. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣
After that punch, the only thing that guy would be able to do is meditate on the nature of the fraud that he is, that a beginner fighter like myself could knock him out so easily.
No, I’m certainly NOT agreeing to his RIDICULOUS demands. He’s gonna get his ass beat one of these days. As in, being hospitalized…. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Nothing's funnier than the guy's "training" videos. It's almost impossible to believe he wasn't doing a parody. The only thing missing is if Chris Farley were the "ninja" featured. Hilarious! Thank you!
As an amateur magician, I could do a better job then Kim.
As someone who learned the detachable thumb trick just for this video, I feel that *I* am a better magician than him!
Larsen Halleck lol! You did do better then him. The slight of hand he did was good, but the fact he used his sleeves to aid in his steals was so cliché it was unreal. I do it without sleeves. So I guess slight of hand is part of martial arts...
I read all his books. Now I'm the greatest ninja and lover that ever lived. Challenge me if you dare!
DUDE, how did you remove your thumb tip and put it back? seriously? Why aren't YOU famous?
@@tomwolfe6063 Psssst...that's nothing. My ex-wife took my house and balls with no blood shed whatsoever...although, it was far from painless...
@@TheBamChug hahaha
I think it's hilarious that even though you have to pay HIM to fight him, people are still scrambling to kick this guy's ass. NOBODY likes a phony.
So you're going to snap your attackers neck 3 times ? It all makes sense now
Great video! keep up the good work.
The intro music is RISING ZAN! Respect man...
Indeed it is! Glad you liked the video, please subscribe.
He still has these vids on his channel too.
Fun fact about poison hands it's not a form or kata but instead something else. It's a method of training meant to enhance ones killing potential in unarmed combat. In other words it can work with any martial art such as Boxing or Gracie Jiu-jitsu. The idea is to use the correct amount of poisonous insects and plants until your body becomes used to it. However it needs to be the correct amount otherwise the concoction will become useless.
Think about it. He's a genius. It's been said that one can never underestimate the stupidity of the public at large. The guy is being paid lots of money by his followers and has been for decades. Never worked a day. Just found enough gullible people to pay for his life. Brilliant if you have no scruples.
Love the video. Was just curious what style of Kung Fu you train in. I've been studying Northern Shaolin for quite a while now(with Muay Thai as well). Keep up the great vids.
Sanshou and Shuai Jiao kung fu. Glad you liked the video, please subscribe!
You can literally see him palm the ping pong ball hahaha
In my opinion he was a marketing genius and he came at the right place at the right time when the Ninja boom took off and made alot of money. He didn't hurt anyone He just made those jealous of him who didn't think of it first.
Thing is, if anyone thought that they could handle themselves in a real fight (aside from other training, physical size and strength, conditioning, etc.) after watching all his videos… Well…. 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
I think the idea to the bonecrushing and organ exploding fun in Mortal Kombat came from the wise teachings of Ashida Kim himself.
I can't stop laughing
I had "Secrets of the NInja" when I was probably 7 or 8 years old because I thought Ninjas were badass. It wasn't an issue until Paladin Press started sending catalogs full of "soldier of fortune" type of books that my mom became a bit concerned.
LMAO we're just gonna ignore that bullets break the sound barrier. So if you hear it, its already hit you lol
According to Master Ashida, clearly Count Dante was not the deadliest man who ever lived. It was Ultimate Grand Master Moe Howard.
The guy that is narrating we need to expose these fake people keep up the good work
you never see this ashida kim frank dux or steven seagal in the same room.he saw american ninja 1 and he just couldnt let go. and in hes dream him and Michael Dudikoff practicing the north south position until there sore. good times
brett smith
Great film. Dudikoff ruled those films
yeh dude the good days if you watch them now tho there really funny
"you think I go home to a woman like Starla every night by NOT being a ninja??!! Forget about it!!"
Until CZcams I'd never heard of him, and I've been training in martial arts since 1973.
Lucky you. Back when I was in high school I was dumb enough to buy one of his books, I read it through, realized what a load of horseshit it was, and have hated him since.
This guy was the precursor to Master Ken excuse my language but holy shit I can’t unsee that now
Ashida Kim beat the sun in a staring contest. Ashida Kim does Mortal Kombat fatalities in real life. Ashida Kim bullies Chuck Norris out of lunch money. Ashida Kim once hit a 575 foot home run with a wet newspaper.
I love you man ur awesome make videos forever!!!
Thanks, I sure plan on doing so. Please subscribe!
I'm reminded of a line from the show Justified, when the main character Raylan is talking to a boxer and the boxer threatens to knock his teeth out: "Oh you gonna bop and weave out of the path of a bullet? Cause that I'd like to see." I always wanted to see that and well hells bells here it is!
Just to pile on, at 8:21 he talks about attacking the brachial artery and brachial nerve. The brachial artery does exist. The brachial nerve does not exist. The median nerve is the structure in that area.
He threw two pounds of anthrax into that guard's face:)
The yellow dot in the background is the most important aspect of his Dojo...
That "levitation" LOL
The truth is that there are many people, mostly teenagers, who WISH they were ninjas. So there appears somebody who sells them this dream. "Hey, I am ninja. I can make you a ninja." Just like astrology and future tellers, and other scams. People will believe any of their nonsense, because they have *already* chosen to do so.
when Ashida Kim made this, how the hell did they watch that hoolahoop bit and think that was a good idea to leave in? Mr. Shita Kim! we need a reaction video.
there is no way this isn't a low-budget comedy movie
Unfortunately it's legit. The 80s were a time where any slapass idiot who could raise his leg above his hips could make money teaching fake martial arts.
this guy needs a blanket party
i'm sold. i want to learn this shit now
That’s not what bullets sound like when they’re coming your way.
Where can i buy the DVD so i can laught my ass off
I " ride the wind" every Taco Tuesday.
owadave ha!
The first photo shows him holding a shirasaya, which is not a functional weapon, it's designed for long-term blade storage rather than combat.
I'd expect a "ninja master" to know that.
Huh, I didn't know that (my background is in kung fu rather than Japanese styles), I just thought it was some shitty dollar store knock-off sword that didn't have a tsuba put on it due to ignorance.
Thanks for the tip.
I almost shit my pants when you ripped your thumb off.
Thats sick yoh
Dude, he's not dodging bullets, he's making them NOT THERE!!!
This was being an influencer before being an influencer was cool
the thumb thing at the end blew my mind. You REALLY have the Chee! It's majik!
3 years of kung fu training taught me well.
I actually bought his books as a kid.
His students fall in the category of. There's a sucker born every minute.
my new hero!
Wow I didn't know that when I practice basic sleight of hand techniques (yes I'm a magic nerd get over it) I was actually mastering the mystic martial arts. How many times do I have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to earn my black belt?
He wrote many books and I think he got ripped off
The hand over the fist also stands for the sun and moon.
We still have Larsen's videos. RIP ThePinkMan
I just heard he's going to beat you for making this to a pulp and allready has his bag packed : )
Love it
Glad to hear it, please subscribe!
Did Ashida Kim do the fight choreography for the movie Hot Rod?
Yeahhhhh, I lived through the "ninja boom" of the '80's. It was sad, instructors were crawling out from under every rock to claim they were legit ninjas and it was a secret how they became so. Today, it's the same way with Krav Maga, people watch some videos, read some books and bingo, they become instant Krav masters.
At last, someone that sees Krav Maga for what it is! All the guys in my city are screaming about how colossally effective it is, and they flock up to the local krav maga gym.
Real Krav isn't bad, problem is finding an instructor who was properly trained and can link their lineage to Israel. It's nothing really new, it was a combination of boxing, street smarts and judo originally and just developed from there. What irritates me is when you see a self taught instructor who isn't even getting close to it but people flock to them to train. We have one such instructor here in Northwest Arkansas, he has given himself many titles over the years and has been going by professor for over a decade. Half his students can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
Wraith.... wrong.
How so. Just saying I'm wrong doesn't make me wrong. If you're going to tell me I'm wrong, you need to explain why otherwise you have no point and I'm not wrong.
this is America, baby. anyone can be a master with the money to open a school or dojo and have he charisma to gain a following lol.
It's easy to defend yourself and fight someone that doesn't fight back and just stands/lays there lol I'd love to see him try n do any of them moves on a proper fighter or even just brawler
Ashida Kim is an absolute legend.
In his own mind 😂
This is hilarious I cant stop laughing watching these
