I love these videos- but I must say: I think the disillusioned superhero who lost their childhood to crime fighting... Is a bad take. The Professor was a great dad who established appropriate boundaries and ensured they had a childhood. They fought crime for FUN. They had other interests, desires, and fears outside of their crime fighting. Why not explore how excellent their sense of self is in a world determined to bring them down? How they grew into young women who realize that they're capable of anything, things that made the show fun to watch in the first place??
I like your take on this! if they had lost their childhood and been forced to take that responsibility, then it wouldn't be a kid's show. it is, so they have fun lunch scenes, decorated rooms, and individual styles/ hobbies! 💙❤️💚

I partially agree, love makes the world go round and all that. But how are 5 year old girls not supposed to be affected that everyone in their town relied on them completely. At times it shows the workload -was- too much, Bunny was created to lessen their burden. AND THEN SHE DIED. They created and then ended a life because they felt overwhelmed and couldnt do the process correctly to help themselves. Yeah i would probably have PTSD too.
(Its a better take than lets make them twerk and date a writer stand in anyway)
@@StrangerWithAHat well, I think kids can experience trauma and pressure and still turn out well adjusted with a loving and supportive household. Especially SUPER children. I'm not saying a live action remake needn't acknowledge those things and be all light and love. But I also think it would be more interesting and original to keep the heart of the OG show because there's nothing else really like it. But anything would be better than a twerking Bubbles, that was horrifying.
@@StrangerWithAHat yeah, i think it's a very good concept if handled well, as is the case for Umbrella Academy. i also like media that is at least partially critical of the "child soldier" trope so common in media nowadays.
I think Bubbles would also own those strappy heels with the butterflies on the straps that were so popular on dollzkill a while back.
I also wouldn’t mind Blossom wearing a beret or small velvet bows in her hair. There’s a ton of inspo of that on pinterest if I’m not making any sense lol

i really liked this interpretation!!! i do believe that like most of cartoon shows and their characters its kind of easy to guess their style because their personalities are so extreme and clear-cut: buttercup is the tomboyish more aggressive type, so she has a diy-punk, grunge, streetwear style, with a lot of thrifted and personalized pieces, cut and sliced and resewn and drawn over; bubbles is the hyperfemenine, sweet type, so she has pastel colors, fluffy shapes like big skirts and big puffy sleeves, bows and frills and tulle and lace; and blossom is the responsable, down-to-earth type, so she has a preppy style that mixes more neutral colors with a kind of business/schoolgirl vibe, uniform inspired with blazers and collared shirts and a lot of structure, like in a late 70s early 80s style. i do love the specific details you gave them, like the broader color palette that includes their trademark colors but without just. dipping them in a bucket of paint. and also the more fun details that i hope would translate in a lighter more stylised tone for the show.
anyways, what i most hope is that whatever costume designer they end up hiring it will be less fate the winx saga and riverdale and more euphoria and chilling adventures of sabrina: iconic styles that can be easily imitated but which also speak about their characters.

I would absolutely love to see you work as a stylist! The care and thought you put into the selection of each piece, and what a lot of stylists seem to miss - justifying your choices based on who the character is - is fantastic, and you’re so creative. I think Blossom could have the best of both worlds with the options you provided! Studious chic with nude colors and pops of red or floral motifs during the day and then seeing those motifs take over off the clock. Like Elle Woods in the court versus out haha. Loooved that strawberry sweater and could see her have a moment in it. Madewell girl is spot on can totally see a great red/pink denim moment too paired with a turtle neck. You nailed it. Let her have all the choices you provided haha. Oh and heart shaped sunglasses need to get involved too. Great job with all of the looks!

and yeah, i have Just A Little Bit of faith on this specific remake/reboot stuff just because of diablo cody. hopefully its decent... i just want it to be decent
The problem is that they keep remaking bright cheery shows into something dark and depressing. Even with Riverdale is never worked and they need to give justice to the remake by keeping the main elements of the original series. Even Sabrina the Teenage Witch was more cheerful than Riverdale.
The director/producer they’ve got (can’t recall which), while known for a few darker productions (Sleepy Hollow and the iconic Jennifer's Body if I’m not mistaken) is good at writing female characters and plots so hopefully it’ll just be an equally fun creation.
I think they all have a suit like miss Bellum and have things that remind them of her. She was definitely a role model for them. I can see Bubbles trying to channel her when she has to be seen as professional through clothing. Also accidentally matching.
I always imagined them in a 60's mod style with like shift dresses and Steve Madden type chunky shoes, also with elements from the 70s such as flared pants

Omg I tooootally agree with your design choices. Buttercup would definitely fit with the baggy pants and shirts with like black platform shoes, and if not that then leather pants with a rugged looking crop top and leather jacket with biker boots. And I would prefer if they kept her bob hair cut. And bubbles is my favorite ppg too ❤️. I liked that first poofy blue dress you were looking at, and her in blue heels with white tights would be cute, and definitely love the big blue scrunchies idea. And for blossom I think I agree with the Victorian blouse idea, but with a professional work skirt and black or red heels, maybe a professional work jacket. 🤔 Over all I love your ideas for the designs even better than what the show itself is doing

@6:36 This is gonna be a deep cut, but look up "Fusionfall Buttercup". TLDR, it was a cartoon network mmo- the PPG were aged up in it. Buttercup had a punk-rock aesthetic, including a dark denim jacket.
Buttercup outfits would be goblincore for sure since I looked it up, bubbles would be kawaiicore, and blossom geeky chic style.
