They are not that loud,they just sound perfectly awesome! No popping and cracking,,just perfect! My 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 sounds the same way! My 2003 Harley Sportster 1200 with gooseneck pipes sounds almost identical just a little better!😎☠️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️

Always loved the Harley name and design. But, designs are becoming really good from all angles these days. The name "Harley" just might be loosing ground!
I have the Cobra slash cut pipes on mine and they were still plenty loud even with the baffles in. I took the baffles out and wrapped them with muffler insulation to take out the bark and harsh wrap sound. now it's more mellow and tolerable.
Nice bike. I got the same exact setup. Pipes and grips. I have an 06 in candy black cherry. I think its the best looking cruiser out there especialy with the solo seat just like mine. Good tase!!

I can't really remember. I don't think I recall anything being *wrong* with the bike power post-install - however I *think* I brought it to a bike shop to have the jet adjusted afterwards as a 'just in case' to make sure it was running in tip top shape.
Did u take baffles out the pipes love the bike have same one same pipes and chromed out front to back white wall tires led lights red would love to send pics too you
I did not take the baffles out of the Cobras. They are however they came out of the box. I originally drilled holes in stock baffles after researching other people's comments about it making them sound better. But, it really wasn't very different and getting the Cobras was the only way to go.
I have the same motorcycle and had the same pipes put on at the HONDA dealer first they said it had a flat spot when you gave it gas with the jets Cobra said to use, so they changed them again and now its so lean it bangs so loud its sounds like it going to blow the heads off, did you change your jets if so to what? Is fuel injection? If not, for your straight pipes what have you done to compencate. Like let more air to go true and rejeting the carb. Otherwise you don'r gain power, you may even loose some. If there are no restriction you need to modify the rest.
I think I might have had someone do it when I had it in for new tires. If I recall I didn't do it for awhile though and saw no difference. I vaguely remember the internet saying "you should do it" but I swear it ran fine without it.

This bike had since gone down on a highway, I face planted and broke some stuff, I rebuilt the bike (it was all asthetic damage) and have since sold it. I now have a daughter so....riding bikes might be out of the future for awhile. Race car driving on the other hand, is much safer :)

Bumper to bumper traffic going 80 mph on a 100 degree day down a hill. I checked my blindspot for a second to move over for merging traffic. When I looked forward again the car in front was hitting brakes hard (which is common on stupid overcrowded Connecticut highway)...I hit my brakes hard but the bike locked up went into a slide...at least I think it did. I don't remember because that was the 1 day in my life I didn't wear a helmet (because it was so damn hot out). So...some broken bones/ribs and cracked skull - but here I stand mostly perfectly fine. Luckily I didn't hit anyone and no one hit me. So in retrospect: (1) Always wear a helmet, no matter the conditions (2) Even if *everyone* in both lanes is going 80MPH in bumper to bumper traffic - go slower than everyone else and allow more space in front even if it pisses people off - they have seatbelts and 4 tires whereas you do not (3) Don't waste your time with cheaper, not-so-sticky tires; spend the money on performance tires that are stickier.

Thinking of getting the Cobra Speedster Longs like yours!!! My slip-ons have a little bit of blatty sound, but overall still sound good and loud.
I really dont like the way the rear mudguard extends so far off of the back of the bike but in this colour which i really like, i can overlook my dislike. I also love the sound.

That's a vtx 1300 S. The 1300 R uses mag wheels wjereas the 1300 S uses spokes.

This goes back to ancient memory, but I believe after I installed pipes I brought it to a bike shop for carb rejetting.

The Cobras always sound poppy to me, not throaty. It’s all personal preference though.

I never thought these pipes were really loud. I didn't want loud, I just wanted a nice sound. They fit the bill perfectly.
