Thanks for the hat compliment…have same hat in black,brown and camo.Our coyotes are basically worthless in pelt quality so with the labor of skinning,fleshing and boarding for maybe $20 or house and feed for 2 weeks and get $75. Where in Virginia? My father’s side is from Virginia.
@PalmettoMountainMan King George county. About 15 miles east of Fredericksburg, right between the Potomac and Rappahannock rivers. The Potomac separates us from Maryland. And live market is the way to go!

I've heard that some trappers capture their coyotes by tying them up and muzzling them with electrical tape when they don't have a cage

Never tied up or taped any animal’s mouth and never will.Sounds like they tried to do a job without all the tools.
PETA pretty much ruined the fur market. I made good money trapping in the 70's and up to 82 before I went into the service.
