I honestly think that Krieg is the perfect character for this run. Not because his bloodsplosion skill has perfect synergy with absurdly large groups of enemies and his skill to obtain grenades on a kill. But because you can really self insert with the character and feel your mind slip away as the endless hordes of foes sprawl across the landscape in front of you.

I played 25x a while back, and there's a mod that allows you to reload the map but keep your position. Excellent for resetting the amount of corpses after each encounter to keep the framerate acceptable.
It might be worth using if I ever do more with the mod. I know Commander has a fair few helpful little things. I don't tend to like using mods in general, but I might need to bite that bullet if I want things to run more smoothly in the future.

With how badly Saturn made things run even prior to dying, I'd be kind of terrified of what Sanctuary's model would do.

So, I'm watching the video, mug of coffee in hand, smiling and experiencing the journey like everyone else, and at 22:36 my jaw just dropped in terror when I saw all the stalkers.
I was completely fine... until they all went invisible. I felt almost a primal fear at the realization of what was happening.

God this FPS brings me back to playing on a crappy hand-me-down PC. Sub 12fps is just nostalgic for me, even if it's painful
It's always strange, the things we look back on fondly. Because that sounds like a horrible thing to be nostalgic for, but I remember playing the original Fable on one of those old TVs with more static than audio. And hearing the guildmaster's voice come through about as smoothly as sandpaper still takes me back when I get to hear it.

It was pretty disorientating to play through. Don't go forcing yourself to see it on my account. I do hope you can enjoy it via audio if you'd prefer to, but it was... all around one of the experiences of all time.
41:46 with all the skipping and bloodsploding one of my favourite things of high spawn multipliera didn't happen - the turrets on that barge don't stack on top of each other, they form a line stretching across most of the map and through a wall. Looks even funnier when the barge moves.
I got something similar with some of the loaders in Thousand Cuts, but Hero's Pass did _not_ get along well with Bloodsplosion.
I don't know seeing all those monglets 1 minute in was quite cute lol has me laughing
It was a bit surreal the first time seeing the game turn into a horde shooter first hand. Now everywhere feels almost desolate.

The scary part is that if I can figure out how to make the game more stable, I already know how to make the multiplier even higher.

Part of me seriously wonders how this run would have went as Zer0... then I think about how the overlapping B0re sfx would probably deafen everyone around you in a one mile radius.
A friend of mine was messing with it while I was doing the run, and they found that if you get the Bunker just right, it just kinda keeps going. For a really long time, it just keeps going...
funny thing, when I did this challenge with 25x (I also used loot randomizer) my game also crashed in the preserve AFTER the really long mobbing section so I just decided to turn the mod off for that part as well. Also I was a bit higher level than you so I decided to go to Tina dlc to get bloodsplosion before brick's initiation which helped SO much. WAIT YOU DID PRETTY MUCH JUST THAT (I wrote the first part of this commetn before seeing the whole video

What indeterminate amount of money does the potato need?
You see, I'm honestly not sure. Aside from just not having the funds, editing is also a really time/effort intensive task. If I ever could get to the point that I could afford it, I'd need to make sure that they were well compensated. It just wouldn't sit right with me to do otherwise, but I also don't know what that number would look like with how slowly I edit.
hmm i wonder how fire krieg would have performed on lvl 30. you would be permanently on fire, but so would everybody else. and also 100x enemies means 100x life steal.
Honestly, I think Thrill of the Kill would be the way to go for healing. I don't know that it'd make up for what all would be lost to get it, but I think TVHM would legitimately be easier in a lot of places.

There’s a spawn cap that is pretty sure follows over to the next loaded area if it’s close enough and reload or /kill is required I believe

a thing that would have carried alot is the suicide skill krieg has
you just go afk then and let them kill you, which kills them reviving you, on repeat
The problem then becomes losing out on both Bloodbath and Bloodsplosion. As good as Light the Fuse is, it's also a considerably slower method of dealing with a lot of encounters.
@@SpuddyCube i guess, i would figure mostly due to the insane lag and the amount of times you where downed while being overleveled which would boost dmg considerably
Interesting feature I'm just realizing now with the horrible framerate: When loaders are digi-structed in, it actually quickly highlights the elements of the periodic table presumably being used to make them.

I'm not sure if it interacts with B0re, but they absolutely do multiply. It's really weird to see, because the room really rapidly fills with them, and the board behind them moving kinda helps to fling them at you.

Maybe, but not to my knowledge. I'm not the most tech savvy, but I've heard that the main issue is that it's a thirty two bit game running on sixty four bit hardware.

Probably would’ve had a lot easier time getting second winds if you used Light The Fuse. Just use the big explosion and it would kill a ton of enemies.
Maybe so, but I'd be sacrificing both Bloodbath and Bloodsplosion for it. And as nice as more consistent second winds would be, a near limitless supply of Teslas is often better.

honestly ive seen a few people play this mod and man i would love to but its just one of those things i know is just not even worth trying with my absolute piece of shit gpu i would crash more times than enemies would spawn
Honestly, if you can run the base game, you might be able to run the mod (though maybe don't touch one hundred). Borderlands is... weird in terms of performance. There are also a couple of things that you can do to make the game run a lot better. The modding community has done a lot to make it play nicer with more modern tech, but admittedly... I've worked with computers that just weren't working with.
I mean I’ve tried a few overhaul mods that include either 2x or 3x spawn rates and always got 30fps average with dips down into the 10s

I know you said in a previous video that this channel isn’t a borderlands channel but it kinda seems like that’s your reach now and it’s kinda sad that your stuck with this
It is a strange sort of situation to be in. I do wish I could inspire a greater curiosity in more varied projects, but I never lament my time coming back to Borderlands. Even long before starting the channel, it was the game that I've replayed the most. I only ever come back to it when I genuinely want to, so my love of it holds firm. I am immensely grateful that so many people are still excited to see what I get up to in it, but I also know that I'm going to continue to make passion projects that significantly fewer people are interested in.

Why did you choose the "unlimited" spawn limit? Wouldn't this have run a lot better if you had kept the 100x multiplier, but set a spawn limit that would get you a decent framerate? I guess in a sense that's a compromise on difficulty, but it seems a fair one to me.
Of course as I type this I've only watched 10 minutes of the video, so maybe you changed it later on in the run. 🤔
As far as I'm aware, the mod only really allows for standard, linear, and unlimited. Standard means essentially just seeing every encounter one hundred times over. Linear I think copies the multiplied number for the spawn limit. In that regard, I'm not honestly sure how it functionally differs from unlimited. I know just enough about computers to change the upper limit on spawns. Unfortunately, not quite enough to fix the limit on their rate.

It requires just a bit of modding of the mod files for the twenty five times multiplier.

If memory serves, it requires changing the MaxValue in the init file for the mod. But I did change it a while back while prepping for the run, so my memory on it isn't flawless.
