Great good guys...can't wait to try them....
great vid!
I just got a Shelby mustang gt500 and I’m considering either adding the green cat headers or just doing no cats. I want more power but I also want it to be loud. I’ve heard that the green cats make it louder too.
What would you recommend for a high flow catalytic converter for a lower HP car like 350? I just am looking for a epa certified high flow catalytic converter. Would this be a waste? Or do you have another product that would work for that?
Hi,
So I have a supercharged corvette grandsport with kooks catted.
1) can I buy the green catalytic and replace mine instead of having to buy new green cat x pipe ??
2) I’m in the process of getting a cam for my vehicle. Will these green cats, keep the inside of my vehicle quiet ? Or is the loudness inside the vehicle inevitable ? Will it be loud inside of my car regardless if it’s catted or not catted ?
Will these cats break if combined with MSD 2 step on my Mustang?
Where could I get one of these cats
Will I pass my emission with this green cats
redline motorsports ordered the kooks green cats to compliment the kooks headers/exhaust on my 2017 zl1. most people wont spend the extra coin but to me there're worth every penny. GREEN CATS: BEST IN THE INDUSTRY
Can they be used for any v8 or has to have a certain hp
Nice Graham watch.
Are they California legal ?
Does adding Green Cats versus no cats reduce the exhaust noise level? i'm considering "Kooks headers + green cats" to replace my manifolds and primary's and I'm concerned that headers with "no" cats will make it too loud.. Thanks.
GREEN cats will help reduce the sound level and smooth out the tone of the exhaust making it less raspy than a non-catted exhaust.
I have a 19 mustang GT and was thinking of adding Kooks long tubes with the green cats. Do I have to have a tune to use these or will they throw a check engine light?
American muscle has a video saying that there is no tune needed with the headers and green cats
I the video description it says it will eliminate the check engine light if it’s throwing a code for the cats as well
The wide bands takes care of the headers. The engine will run properly but will still throw cat efficiency codes without the cats. Not sure if the green cats will clear the codes or not, but no tune will be needed for the headers.
I wanna buy some headers but they are so expensive now
Only recommended for over 500hp???
Guessing that regular ones are good enough if you're under 500hp???🤔
@@Twobarpsi im runnin boost and not makin over 500.. after headers and exhaust maybe much closer to 5 but nothing crazy over that...
so idk...
Mine and my buddies Kooks green cats burned up in about 10 minutes of running at VIR in ZL1’s. These CANNOT be used for HPDE’s even short sessions. Completely hollow now. Had to cut the pipes to find the guts. Very disappointed.
What did Kooks say?
I'm not surprised...
Twobarpsi they swapped them out after a while, but I’m reluctant to try them on track. Just running off-road pipes
@@atrammell1 I have a GT500, and was thinking about buying a set. Not anymore!
Welp. Nevermind for my tbss lol
What is -5 atmosphere
In this case, Atmosphere is a measure of vacuum. 1 atmosphere is equal to 14.7 psi, so -5 Atmospheres is roughly equal to -73.5 psi.
@@Kookstv if you were reading gauge pressure you would be at 14.7 psi absolute and your gauge would read 0psi. You then could pull a perfect vacuum which is 0psi absolute, that would read -1 atm or -14.7 psi, but you can’t go lower than that.
Will it soak up farts?
You need the brown cats.
@@Twobarpsi They'll turn brown over time.
Not bad.., but escaped to raise the question about the advantages over a straight pipe. Personally, I prefer a cat.
Metallic substrates are horrible. What happens when that cat cracks and shoots metal shards back up into the engine and ruining your whole motor…
Doesn’t matter if the single cat is EPA certified. If you remove four factory cats from your V8 car and only add back in two of these cats, your car is NOT EPA LEGAL. You must replace all the cats, both primary and secondary, which Kooks is not doing. This is purely misleading BS marketing: they are only “EPA legal” if no cats are deleted.
