Ever consider adding an inline water pump booster?
do you have a pond or river nearby? i have a friend who has one and i have a pump that can run up to 150 big gun it gets about 100 150 feet its a old fast reverse nelson big gun. if you got that pump you could get a big gun and get more range and coverage use a smaller nozzle like a .70" or .086". erven like a 85 rainbird would run excellent on it its a pacer se2ul e950 gas powered transfer pump
Hum? Would a ram pump help?
You loose or gain .433 psi per foot of elevation.
Take it to the top and drop it like it’s hot
I am using orbit impact sprinklers and 2 work great but 3 doesn’t. If I get a larger hose I’m thinking 3 will work. Thanks for the video!
What size are your garden hose 5/8 or 3/4
If is up hill what if you take the water up first then put the hoses down and put the sprinklers on the way down it might works better try and let me know if that works
Interesting idea Benjamin; it sounds like a good experiment but I'm not sure about the physics without researching. The down slope on the other side sounds a bit like we'd get a siphoning effect and less pressure loss but the extra distance to go up and then down means more distance travel and more pressure loss - not sure if it would be worth it off the top of my head. Good food for thought though!
You live in a hot semi-arid/desert area, with nice green grass around your house....why would you be wasting water on that hill? It's like irrigating...a sand dune.
Fyi water pressure doesnt change by size down or up. You can increase pressure only by a pump, or elevation drop, or heating it.
I went to 6th grade
Cute dog. Looks like a lost cause on the grass.
You live in the desert, why are you wasting your water watering?
I thought the same thing...totally crazy.
@@mboiko I live in Imperial Valley California which is basically desert and we use water for agriculture and to water our yards and trees. Just because its desert doesn't mean your wasting water dude. Also the Imperial Valley produces over half of the USA's winter vegetables in the desert.
@@bassdogg8551 The problem isn't agriculture watering or the green grass and trees around his house. The problem is he lives in a hot semi-arid/desert area, and he's wasting water on a hillside during a drought. Most of that water will quickly evaporate off that hillside under those conditions. This is just common sense and you don't have to live in the Imperial Valley to know that...dude.
@@mboiko I like living here summers are hot but the rest of the year is flat out beautiful . Don't know or care where you live but no need to criticize over 180,000 people who choose this life in a hot semi arid desert community. We don't waste our water its used beneficially dude. Sounds like you're some type of hater .
Not clear how you increased pressure. It sounds like the total amount of line is the same, but you moved your junctions and replaced them with greater diameter. This seems to be more about water volume than pressure unless you are running less hose or have less rise/head.
Why are you watering the desert?
You are right and it's something I decided to stop doing one month or so after this video was made. In two years I haven't watered this area once...and my entire channel is now slanted towards using as little water as possible in only the main lawn and garden. Hope you understand growth...I've grown over the past couple seasons a lot. ✌️
Exactly what "turf" are you mechanicing? 😂
Nobody said I was a good mechanic 😆
I GREW UP IN SAN DIEGO. ASIDE FROM MY TIME AS AN ACTIVE DUTY JARHEAD, I HAVE LIVED %90 OF MY LIFE HERE. THINGS ARE DETERIORATING SOCIALLY, AND FACILITATED THE CHOICE THAT SADDENS MY WIFE AND I. WE ARE MOVING. AT 59, WE EXPECTED TO LIVE THE REST OF OUR TIME IN WHAT WAS "AMERICAS FINEST CITY." BETWEEN THE ILLEGALS, AND THE MARXIST LEFT FACTIONS, WE MUST LEAVE. MY WIFE IS CHALDEAN, AND I AM IRISH ROOTS.
IF THAT IS THE AREA YOU LIVE IN, I AM HAPPY FOR YOUR... SINCERELY. SIR, I HOPE THAT YOUR DEEPLY APPRECIATE AND CHERISH, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PROTECT YOUR AREA. OH, I INCREASED MY WATER PRESSURE AT THE METER. GODS SPEED. SEMPER FI...
California is falling apart quickly. The lunatics are ruining the state. Everyone with common sense and the means is leaving the state
Seriously? I have water restrictions for my 500sqft lawn but this guy is increasing water pressure for dirt wtf? And i bet its running all day 😞😞😞
