Hasn't Mr. Seger always had the best backup singers? I mean, c'mon...
I Enjoy This Song. Bob Seger has always had a great Voice. His Spirit Shines.
I grew up in Ferndale 2 blocks from Detroit 8 mile road. And I grew up on Sever. He is true American rock. True legend
I will always be grateful to my big brother for widening my musical life by introducing me to this guy. Love ya brother.
I just got a 1968 Concert ticket from Livonia MI, this guy is a legend! Great positive tune!
What can I say about this man.
I've liked all his music every scene he first came out.
And I still do.

A slow cooking blues rock swingin' tune that reaches fully cooked and delivered for your bones to get in motion.
Wow! Bob Seger crushing a great Lou Reed song. So sad that we can never experience the reverse. Two of my favourites and seem ‘‘em both live.
Hanging on with a bus load of faith❣️
Great song, great musician what a joy to hear this song
A perfect song for Seger. And he did it right.
This whole album is great, listen to "The Highway" and "Runaway Train, anytime an artist can have three songs on an album that are just classic's when released know's what the hell they are doing doing, and Bob always knew what the hell he was doing.
I met Bob & his manager Punch Anders in St Clair Shores, MI He come walking up this long staircase and shook my hand as he step foot on platform floor; He came to this secluded castlelike building for his private birthday party - i was privilidge to be one of the music DJs and man can Bob dance !! with ladies,, what a fun time!!!
Thank you, Bob.
This is what I call rock’n’roll 🤩❤️
Hiphopsters- take note!!!!!!!
Feeling blessed. Just sharing it
One of the coolest tunes ever. Uncle Lou would like this version.
I’m glad you know the original version. Lou Reed’s New York is on my all time favorite albums. I’m a fan of Bobs as well, but I’m not sure if I like the new lyrics. I think they missed the point of original. If it were not one of my all time favorite songs I might not care.
I've been a fan for decades....I'm getting this CD.

Ladies & Gentlemen...Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
I had no idea Bob covered this song! I saw him in '85 and he still sounds incredibly good after all these years. Especially on this one. Really surprised and taken aback. Have to admit, this is freakin' awesome!
Louis Reed N.Y.lp..An American Master..in any/every..Sense..Love both Men..Contributions..So Much..!!!&,You need a Busload OFTGBy ...Re;Stawman..feat;Kris Kristofferson..(@The Bottom line..As good as it will ever get.!)
This is my guy, grow up with him in Michigan.. he started out in Davison and then went to Flint for wild Wednesdays and Sundays before he got big. Was at Michigan Palace when he cut the live album. Probably saw him 20 times plus he's my guy, I'm a hugh fan..Also Cobo Hall when he got big. Actually smoked one with him. Crazy, but my boyfriend was A DJ and we ran into him at a car dealership. He was buying a car for his girlfriend and invited us back to his place because my boyfriend Gary was a DJ and playing him on radio like crazy.. crazy times.. Good times Seger is my guy. Grow up a little town in Michigan, we called it Nutbush...lol
The MAN is back!!! Viva Bob!!!!!
This song is so true
I always take a chance on you. ♡♡♡ Love my Uncle Bob Seger
DAMMMMMMN!!! It's like an old friend you used to hang with but haven't seen in years walked in! And he's still an @$$ kicker
I agree 100 percent. Been on this journey with him since 69, saw him last in 2015, one kick ass rocker, raw talent without any bells and whistles, just raw talented musicians, rocking with sold out crowds singing along to every song...Electric energy to say the least. He is one brilliant artist....

This is great. Not sure if Bob did the version on the Hard Rock Live album, or Lou Reed - I think the latter. That was a great version too. I really enjoyed this.

Bob has a great ear for great songs even though the original writer didn't perform them so great.Although Lou's original is very cool Bob had a way to make it cooler. He's done this many times and California Stars is another one that hits a higher mark. Thanks for all the music Bob.

Hi Bob :-)
I have to admit, until I heard the song "Busload of Faith" on the radio, I only knew your name on "radio bob", the best radio rock station in Germany. When I played the song to a friend, he played me your "Hollywood Nights". The song has a lot of energy and is really fun to listen to. And shortly after that, I was really amazed that the song "Turn the Page", which is one of my favorite Metallica titles, was written by you back in the seventies. I can only say in awe: "A top hit!"
Thank you for your amazing music!
Man I like it 👌
Magnifica cover. Migliore di Lou Reed. Grande Bob
you cant depend on the President,,,,,,Unless you want to buy Real Estate,,,Right On,Bob Seger..
Bob is still a badass who does things his way, this song right here proves that. It rocks and it still has something of value to add, just like Lou Reed intended it to do.
nice stuff BOB
I love the fact this joint dropped in 2017..
a great classic Lou Reed tune
bought some forty years later it could fit right in with Agent Orange
you can't depend on your president unless there's real estate he wanma to buy🤔😂😂
Uncle Bob I love this song. You are correct again
But we are Michigan Made
Michiganrocker he's not your uncle
Esse cara é tudo o que voce precisa ouvir de musica
Cool Song.
This is indeed a great cover of Lou Reeds song. Strangely enough, the full album had been released some three weeks ago and I still can't find any other song from 'I knew you when'...
Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music?
Written and first recorded by Lou Reed.
Who is listening to this in 2021 Pestilence, hatred, wickedness is upon US brothers and sisters Jesus is the answer
You need a busload of faith to understand this song, but that's what it's all about. I bet that Jesus is the bus driver, so 'Hey Mr. Busdriver, stop the bus, stop the bus". All aboard, shalom.
Sounds like John Mellencamp
You'd think Seger was broke, no old or new music on You Tube. Kid Rock put his whole new album on You Tube. It's B/S that the old music not available as a long time fan and about 15 concerts it pisses me off
What stores, can l buy, all the great SELECTIONS of Bob SERGER? I REALLY want the CD he made 4 MONTHS ago Busload of Faith

man way to gitrdone guy
And ..you sure as hell can’t depend on the government! 🤣😂
Like it better than Lou Reeds version and that one is good to.
I wrote an article about this album way back in August 2016, aselaatukorala.blogspot.com/2016/08/news-of-bob-segers-upcoming-album-i.html. I see from the tracklist it's mostly comprising unreleased songs with a quite a few coming from the unreleased 'Blue Ridge' album of the 90s.
Great version of the Lou Reed tune but Seger changed the lyrics...
why you choose a cover song as 1st single?
because he can!
😊😅
I love this. Bob Seger takes a mediocre Lou Reed song and makes it amazing. Great arrangement. Vocals sound good. This is his best work in a long time.
NOT a mediocre Lou Reed song! It came of a GREAT album, New York. Bob's version is good but VERY similar arrangement to Lou's. New York is one of Lou's best,
Came here to basically say the same thing. New York is easily one of the best rock records of the Eighties.
Mediocre? Kiss my ass, no-nothing!
The Real Music Observer I agree with you!!
more like an old washed up lazy hack destroying a classic
don't make that man sing at age 73
Nice cover except for changing the lyrics to make it more commercially acceptable ...
Seger changed the lyrics to be more fitting with his world view and spirituality....Not to be more commercially acceptable.
I like Lou's version better.
Yeah this sounds too much like overdone pop rock. Lou's is more grittier and more real.
@@claytoni7 No...Lou's is simply sung in a monotone drone, a few semitones flat. Sounding like crap doesn't make something "more real."
@@kensettle3184 It doesn't sound like crap. Also Seger changed some lyrics. I don't know if Bob didn't have the balls to sing them or if he just didn't care. The Original is much more critical towards Religion which is GREAT
Me too, but I admire Seger’s choice for a song to cover. And not too bad.
It's a bummer that Seger didn't leave a single religion-critical verse in the song. I like this version but Reed's original lyrics is much better
I'm glad Bob apparently listens to good music. But he shouldn't try to cover it. This adds nothing to the original. Nothing.
just improves it
Lou who ?
When I heard that Bob Seger was covering Busload of Faith, I listened to the original and didn't like it, as I thought its melody was weak and didn't like it how there was no keyboards on it. Regarding Bob's version, while I still have some issues with the melody, he really improved the song. I like this version. This version has more energy, Bob's singing is good and am glad he added horns & piano. While I would have liked the piano to be louder in the mix, it's great there's a piano on this song, as I didn't like it how the original had no keyboards. The piano has some moments in the song where it comes louder in the mix and does something good.
He changed the song, to make it more acceptable.. You think Lou Reeds version was weak? Do you use a hearing aid?
This is one fine enchilada, stop picking it apart..
@@Yeahthatsright717 Seger changed the song to fit HIS vision of how he wanted it to sound and to sing lyrics that he was comfortable singing.
Amen
