My light always comes on. Forums say it’s a issue with tdci engines having tiny splashes on diesel in the oil tank but it doesn’t harm the car or oil in anyway. Is this true? I checked my oil and it seems a good level so if that’s true I’ll reset. Thanks

It's the first time I've heard about the tdci issue. Not saying it can't be that but the oil light coming on the dash could mean other things. E.g a faulty oil switch, low oil pressure etc.
It might be worthwhile getting it checked out pay for a hours labour and get someone qualified to look over it. It could potentially save you a lot more money in the long run. I hope this helps.

My light of this comes on all the time on my 2010 tdci fiesta and I check the oil and it’s fine. Is there a glitch with this system because my oil was only changed a few months ago
