In my experience, takes a few days of warmer weather for the ground to thaw totally. I'm pro-growing food, I wish everyone would! That mushroom setup you have is epic!
I actually got to hang with Molly Hatchet at Laura's Bar & Grill, in Hatfield Pa, in the 90s. Laura and her husband Mike have a business now, Mesa Junction Wine & Spirits, in Pueblo, Colorado, two miles south of ya. Looking good up there. 🤘
I've meant to ask you, The diploma in the background for the gold shows... were you Airborne? I knew there was something about you - unsaid - that I liked. The poster from the Molly album brought a tear to a glass eye. I've got that album, with the cover personally signed by Dave Hlubeck... a personal friend. An interesting aside, Shane. When I went through air traffic control school at Keesler AFB in '67, (the Army back then went thru the USAF school), I gigged with a 12-string, with the band, The Midnight Hour, out of Gulfport, MS. One particular place we played in Gulfport, was a nightclub called the Vapors. Dave and I were killing a few beers - oh, about a decade or so ago - and we got to talking about the old days. It turned out he also played The Vapors in the mid 70s, before Molly Hatchet. Small world, hey?! Take care, Bro......... Carl, 366th ASD, DakTo, Vietnam, '68-69
I forgot to add, I just watched one of my favorite movies again - A.I. - and the ending reminded me of what you said about putting hair in your guitars so aliens could clone you later. 👍🏻👽
I would honestly consider not going right next to your shop. Its not necessarily a good thing to create an area that is going to be loosened soil and constantly wet so close to a structures foundation. Additionally, the potential will likely be created for the humidity in the shop to increase with constant moisture so close. You probably already regulate it with a de-hum though. Maybe you could treat the slab of the shop with a hydro barrier on that side while you are excavating.?.
That's a great idea treating the outside of the building. We kind of want to keep the garden limited to half of our yard and the western slope so I will certainly look into it thanks for that!
Did you keep that Gibson LP standard? I wound up buying one just like it(60's in Iced tea burst) and it is flawless. not a single issue. very happy with it. The only things i changed were the tuner buttons and knobs. I installed the vintage Kluson style buttons by Hipshot and replaced the reflector knobs with 50's gold top hats.
"i don't know why you would need 9 strings??!!....."...... 8 seems too many for me. Shit 7 strings is too many!!! I struggle with 6!!! I might go Max Cavalera style and just play the top 4!! Hahaha
Psalm: 69, gotta love Ministry. Sweet to see a new vid and get reminded of a great band all in one.
Cool idea for small picture frame.. all the klesh picks as a custom set signed or something... someone might want it maybe
Yeah I was thinking something like that, maybe even a concert ticket
Mushy room comin along real quick! Seems like not that long ago I was watching you dig up old nails in there haha!
Frazetta is one of my favorite artists. He did Gath of Baal - death dealer which is my favorite. You are going to be busy busy busy.
love your content, great update, and be well!
Thanks, you too!

Oooooo a left-handed guitar! You’re really making this tempting. Except… I dunno how to play. Details, details. 🤷🏻♀️
Haha

Yeah I still have it. Mainly for measurements and things, honestly have not played it since the review video.

Are you sure that room is only 48 cubic feet? I feel like it's 48 square feet from the look of it, and maybe around 150ish cubic feet.
It's 48 square feet, and 192 cubic feet. I can always install another fan or two, they're cheap and easy to install
Can you build a 6 string bass?
Sure can. 34" or 35" scale length
