Just a helpful hint for EvapoRust if you ever have to use it again: It can be diluted down if you need to cover larger items. I wouldn't go beyond a 50/50 mixture of EvapoRust to Water but I've used a 5 gallon bucket with 2 Gallons of Evaporust and 2 gallons of water to de-rust things for a couple years. It's a little slower than straight from the bottle but no less effective at getting the rust off. You can use it until it turns pitch black. As for using it on coins? It really only works on rust (Iron Oxide). EvapoRust is a chelating agent that takes the iron oxide and binds it to sulfur. That's why it turns black, Iron Sulfide is produced as the rust is converted.
Looks like the floor boards in an old Ford pickup. Epoxy pretty cool. Being a welder I would have likely plated over it and filled the holes. Can't wait to see crusty rusty in action again.

Long Live Crusty rusty.. Evap o rust is awesome stuff, I have used it on seized engine parts, I turned a frozen roller chain into a moveable part again, its non-toxic and environmentally safe, its not a solvent.:
i know its too late now but evapo rust causes metal to etch if it is only partially submerged. you can mostly mitigate it by soaking towels in the evapo rust and leaving them in contact with the metal that is not submerged then again its a old decrepit pan
