  • Landscape photography at Lago di Braies in Italy, also known as Pragser Wildsee, perhaps the most famous Instagram location in Europe. This lake is gorgeous, and is located in the Dolomites of Italy. I am calling it the Moraine Lake of Europe. This is one of my bucket list destinations! Come with me, Tim Shields, and see how amazing this place is and what happened here in World War 2.

    I love all three but I think #1 is my favorite. Thank you for the video and the history lesson, very enlightening. The mountains in the background with the haze over them really drew me in. I would love to go there sometime and see it in person and have a cup of coffee on that patio. Thanks for the awesome video.

    Loved all of them Tim but I think I like no 2 is marginally the best. It is different but has the reflections that make it somewhat surreal and the contrasting red colour to make the boats pop. I would happily have that hang on my wall!!

      Tim, your photographic information is beyond anything I have ever reviewed. I will keep watching your videos and try to get myself updated on your landscape shots. Your shots are truly amazing. I am a Nikon D850 user and it is an amazing camera. It has too many gadgets and I tried to learn them overnight.
      I am 25-year retired military guys with lots of travel under my belt and owner of several cameras but none like the D850.

      So glad to hear this. You will love it up there. I would imagine Seceda will be quite cold now because of the high elevation. My drone is a DJI Mavic Pro. It is about two years old and it is not the latest model but it shoots 4k. Good drone footage is all about smooth movements on the controls.
      Did you watch my Seceda video? Try to stay at Fermeda Hut if you can. You will be glad you did.

  • @westenbergerstephan5955
    @westenbergerstephan5955 Před 5 lety +1

    Hi there! So about your photos. I like best no. 1 because FOR ME(!) it tells all about the spot! If you are asking me about the 2nd best then it is photo no. 3. The 2nd photo... I must admit... I don't like. I personally think that the wood of the boats does look a bit over processed in post processing... however, what I dislike most is following, and I have been at Largo de Braies one year ago too. Depending of the angle, the boats normally seem to "fly" or stand in the air. Why that, simply because the water of the lake is so amazingly clear, that with the right angle to take the photo, you don't even realize that there is water. That's why you simply instantly see the ground of the lake! So the distance between the surface of the lake and the ground of the lake gives you the perception as if the boats would be flying. The picture no. 2 unfortunately, doesn't show this at all, which I think is very sad.
    Please take this is my PRIVATE opinion. Nevertheless, the location is really awesome and I agree with you that finding the right/ best compositon is really tricky. Please no shit storm... this is my personell opinion which may not match with the people reading my lines. :-)
