My first time watching Cast Away , I instantly fell in love with it. Now I see why people LOVE this movie. I was so pleasantly surprised by this movie! For some reason, I assumed it would just be a man stranded on an island. But the love story attached to it was so beautiful, wholesome, and heartbreaking. The story had so much commentary about loss, mourning, determination, and finding a reason to keep pushing. If you know me you know I love stories with beautiful human connections. I'm so glad I watched this movie Thanks for watching. Cheers! #castawayreaction #castaway #firsttimewatchingcastaway

The sole survivor of the flight, Chuck washes ashore on a deserted island. I am not going to lie, I did not expect to love this movie as much as I did. Especially the love story, is it just me?
Thank you for watching❤❤💗💗 PS. If you laugh at my pronunciation of "porta potty" I will come for you😂😂🔪🔪
The love story is one of the best.
@@georgeizcazu152 for real. It is. Very well written and performed by the actors
I remember seeing someone made a video explaining how she was cheating on him before his plane crashed and now I can't watch this without seeing that.
@@matthew6427 it doesn't mean it's true, even if someone made a video about it. It could just be his interpretation of things...
@@georgeizcazu152 I know, it just makes me think about it every time I watch it now. I love interesting movie theories. The Shining probably has the most & they're fun to think about. I never thought there would be any for this movie though. It's just interesting to think about 🤷♂️
It kills me that his welcome home was sushi and crab legs. Honestly, get that man a whole prime rib, a suckling pig, and some Memphis barbecue with all the fixings!
RIGHT?! lmao, which employee would have planned the food at that event? 😂😂 Big fail hahaha. BBQ would have been NECESSARY haha
I think that was part of the irony
lol yessssss😂😂😂😂🔥🔥
@@eyden1562 very necessary lol
@@anthonyguadagnino2681 true true
Whales are VERY intelligent and emphathetic creatures so I'm pretty sure that whale could somehow comprehend that this single human out in the vast ocean was lost and actually looked out for him, tried to alert him when that ship came by and such. ❤
100% he probably wouldn't have made it without that whale💜💜
Genius for the writers to use Wilson as a means to create dialogue in an otherwise silent environment.
Very genius indeed. It also gave them the needs to have someone/something he truly cared for on the island
And pretty realistic. We're social animals after all
"RIP Wilson, you were a real bouncy one." 😭😆
lmao the realist of them over and the bounciest of them all🏐🏐🕊🕊💜💜😂😂
The conversation he had with his friend over the loss of his wife was a much more heart felt conversation than he had with him before he became a castaway. I think that was the point of the two conversations. To show the contrast of what being alone four years did to him emotionally.
I think you’re right. That’s a very good point.
You're right. His early self was not only enslaved to the second hand--cured by island time moving by season, his unrealistic "we can fix that" attitude about the doctor recommendation had to be transformed into a more mature acceptance of making the most of living with what the tide brings in.
Wilson came to him when he needed him the most and Wilson left when he no longer needed him to survive. The wale guided him after that and woke him when help was there
Yes. Wilson served his purpose🧡🏐
I believe that too
Love (Kelly) Connection/Community (Wilson) and Purpose (the package) are the things that kept Chuck alive. And when we lose those things in life and feel like we’re lost and treading water, that message of holding on, keep breathing because you never know what the tide may bring is absolutely everything. 💜
I love how you explained those three themes💜💜
A pager was a device that came out before the mobile phone became so abundant, basically it was something small you carried with you that beeped and/or vibrated and displayed the phone number of someone trying to get in touch with you, all you needed to do was find a phone and call them back....loved your commentary throughout this movie, like you said, it's not as though you were interrupting the dialogue...two Tom movies you failed to mention that are a must watch, "Turner and Hooch" but more importantly "The Money Pit"
Thanks for explaining. I'm happy you enjoyed the commentary. And I haven't heard of those two movies before. I'll look them up
Frank was just mentioning the Tom Hanks movies he has watched so far...
Pagers were the domain of doctors and drug dealers, people who provided life-saving commodities to others who desperately needed them.
@@FrankFreezy_ On a similar note... There was also a thing called a fax-machine (fax being short for facsimile). It was a machine that kinda let you email documents/pictures before email existed.
I say this because there was a time where it wasn't uncommon for someone to have:
1) Their land line (a hard wired phone in their house or business that can even work if the power goes down)
2) Their pager (I should add that while early pagers could only receive messages and you could not send anything *from* them... Later, there was something called a 2-way pager that acted like a bad version of modern text).
3) Their fax number
4) And lastly, the rarest number of all. The number that only rich people had... Their 'cellular' phone number lol
Funny how times change.
Other movies: Splash, Bachelor Party, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, That Thing You Do…….
Cried a few times on this movie.
1. When he looks back at his island after leaving
2. When he lost his friend Wilson
3. When his wife runs out into the rain to tell him she still loves him
4. The very last scene where he is at the crossroads of life, deciding which direction to take.
Its a deep movie. We are all cast away on the journey of life, and at mercy to the high seas of fate. Inevitably losing friends and family along the way, but we live on and our decisions keep us surviving.
Yeah when he leaves the island is emotional
Even though he was fed up living there he still was grateful that it was there when he Was lost at Ocean
It was like he was saying "Farewell old friend, and Thank You
Btw Tom went on a very sunny six month holiday when they stopped shooting, so he would just method-chill into that look. Everything is real, the hair, the burnt nose, the weight loss.
Six months isn’t much if you think about the change. Very disciplined 😮
That is wild. I was hoping someone would explain this in the comment so thanks. I love how he always prepares for these different roles. Kind of like how he changed his accents to sound more like the child in Forrest Gump. He's amazing
Yeah, they paused filming to wait for his hair to grow out and to lose the weight. Amazing discipline! I remember watching him at award shows, etc. as people were speculating about his crazy hair! LOL
@@FrankFreezy_ yeah he is 💚
@@loridicola627 that is so interesting lol, I can imagine being there and wondering " what kind of fashion choice is this Tom"😂😂
Oh man! I’ve seen this movie so many times and I still tear up when Wilson is lost 🥲 I think the loss of Wilson is symbolic as he’s preparing to go back into the civilized world. I believe him leaving that one package unopened represented his last bit of “hope” that he would someday be able to deliver it.
Very well said. It's almost like Wilson served a purpose and left after that purpose was completed ❤❤ And yes I love all the package represents
Kelly was played by Helen Hunt. She was on a hit tv sitcom, Mad about You. While she was on it, she got cast in several movies. Twister is a solid action film about tornado chasers. She also won an Oscar for her role in As Good as it Gets. These two might be worth checking out at some point too. 😊
She was great in this film. Thanks for that information and for the recommendations. They are now on my radar
As Good as it Gets y so good! one of my favs
So if you had a pager, it would have its own number, and if you wanna let them know you are trying to reach them, you would dial the pager number, and press the pound key, and type your phone number. The persons pager would then vibrate or beep, and would flash the phone number that you put in, letting you know that someone at that number wants to talk to you. The days before cell phones…. Man! Keep it up dude! Great reactions, all of them.
That is awesome. I bet that was some really good technology for the time. Thanks for explaining and educating me. I surely will. Thank you so much for watching 🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@FrankFreezy_ and if it was an emergency, you could add 911 at the end, or some other agreed-upon code. Useful for doctors and ER staff, but also popular with drug dealers.
@@sdhartley74 lol the drug dealer part at the end of that sentence caught me off guard😂😂
Thank God for Tom Hanks for still being alive, plenty of old Actors are still around, but it feels like any moment they'll be gone. It may not have been the Golden Age of Cinema, but it was the kind where you had to be there man.
I feel you. Obviously I don't feel you all the way because I was born in 95 and it was a baby lol.. But yes these last 2 months I've just been watching movies from the 90s and oh my goodness. Pure Magic
And yes, it's a blessing that's a lot of them is still around. Rip to the ones that are not here no more
Unfortunately he is. Even though he’s a pedo who got busted on Epstein Island and became a Greek Citizen because Pedophiles get somewhat of immunity because they believe it to be some type of disability
@@FrankFreezy_you didn't have to be there *then*
Now it's under your belt, so you *were* there
Tom Hanks is 67. In terms of older adults, he falls under the ‘young-old’ bracket for his age. Why do people act like once you hit 60 it’s all over?
Who knows what a tide might bring.
It brought him 2 walls of a porta potty that saved his life. He never expected that.
1. It's a good thing he wasn't strapped in that plane. He would have died.
2. Can you imagine how much back pay this guy is going to get? He's not a rank and file worker either. He's much higher up the food change.
3. To make himself look like an average out of shape middle aged man Tom Hanks didn't exercise and allowed himself to grow pudgy. Production was then halted for a year so he could lose fifty pounds, work out and grow out his beard for his time spent on the deserted island.
4. Talk about using realistic tactics to survive.
5. Wilson is exactly what he needed to maintain sanity.
6. In a recent interview Hanks says that Chuck went back to Bettina "Wings". Inside the opening scene package, among other things, were her divorce papers.
7. When he's talking to his friend and says, "I had power over nothing...." is what gets to me.
8.Tom Hanks is the GOAT of my lifetime. I'm 62 years old.
FWIW Morse Code SOS= Dit dit dit, Dah dah dah, Dit dit dit
His performance in “Sully” is excellent! Based on true events. Thanx for sharing 😊
Had to rewatch, hoping you react to other love stories. “Where The Heart Is” and “The Notebook”, both are great “feel good” movies. And without a DOUBT The Rocky franchise 1-6, is a love story more than boxing. Then Creed 1-3, especially in honor of Carl Weathers and Burt Young. I Truly enjoy your reactions, keep them coming!
I'm glad you're going to see Big! It's a classic. A League of Their Own was really good too, if you like American baseball or not it's good.
Awesome. Those two are on my radar
Whales are very intelligent and super curious. Many species have been known to help humans who get swept out by the tide or get lost at sea, even protecting them from sharks. It's pretty realistic that one would hang around Chuck while on his raft, even if out of pure curiosity!
Looking forward to catching 'The Terminal' with you. Such a wholesome and beautiful movie throughout along with everything this incredible man takes part into. Love Tom Hanks
Yessur! Soon. Tom Hank is definitely goated
My favorite movie I’ve seen you react to so far. Some scenes I couldn’t watch because it was so sad. The loss of Wilson… seeing Kelly again… it’s too difficult to pick which moment is the most poignant. What a great job you did, describing this movie when a lot of it had little dialogue. The pivotal moments take one’s breath away. Wonderful job, Frank!
Thank you thank you thank you. I'm glad it was a great viewing experience for you. But yes unfortunately those sad moments hit to very hard
This is a great reaction channel. You also produce it well too. I could see you getting a lot bigger. If I was you, I’d find the top 10 movies people react too and start dropping those to build up your channel.
Appreciate the kind words and recommendation. Sounds like a plan👍🏾👍🏾
Fun fact the director said by the end of the movie he will have people crying over a vollyball and u know what u gotta giv it to him 🤣 . Liked ur chill video 👍
The director kept his promise haha. Many thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it
"He got the Jordan 11s on" 🤣 I laughed way too hard on that part
Hahaaa😂🤣 my boy was looking clean👟🔥

This just made my day😭❤️🥹 THAT is why I made this channel! That connection that feels like we’re all friends watching on the couch. Thank you for saying that. And trust me, I’m in this for the long run! So look forward to many many more movie watching sections 😁
It's not often when you get a story that grips you like this, and there's no bad guy. In many ways, that makes the struggle even more real.
A pager or a "beeper" was a one way text receiving device used to send someone your number and ask them to call you back. You could send very simple number based text messages like 911 for example if it was an emergency. Cell phones existed at the same time as beepers but beepers were the much less expensive option at the time. They were particularly popular with doctors.
Thanks for the info
@@FrankFreezy_ I think you could also have a voicemail service with your beeper number so people could leave messages. You had to use a landline or payphone to call them back or listen to messages. The main thing I remember were friends whose parents were doctors getting beeped and having to call the hospital and rush in for an emergancy when they were on call.
I love how the movie ends with him at a crossroads. Great metaphor. The woman who played the artist was Lari White, who was a popular country singer during the 90's. She's another one who left us far too soon.
I agree. There’s nothing better than a thoughtful gift. People usually buy others what THEY want them to have; not what they’d want or need. If you pay attention to your loved ones, you’ll know the kind of gifts they’d love.
100% I love how you explained that
I want to pay you some respect because of the attention you put towards the quote, “Tomorrow the sun will rise, and who knows what the tide could bring.” I’ve watched reactions that don’t even include that scene, which to me is the whole point of the movie. ❤
That is so wild. I agree with you. That is one of the most important conversations in the whole movie. I appreciate it.
6:57 - Frank: "What the heck is a pager?"
Haha aww bless : )
A pager was just a small device you would usually wear clipped to your belt or pocket. People could dial your pager and send you a very basic text message (usually just the phone number you needed to call back), or some were just voice pagers that would give you a short message the caller recorded. It was just a receiver. You couldn't use it to call out. And, since cell phones were pretty rare at the time of pagers, it usually meant you had to find a phone or payphone.
Thats awesome. Thanks
Loved your reaction as always! I'll never forget seeing this movie in theaters with my dad and grandma. The reason I'll never forget that is because it was one week before my first EVER plane ride lol I was TERRIFIED after watching this movie haha
No freaking way, getting on a plane after watching this lol nooooooo😂😂
I love that you have that core memory of watching this with your family💜💜 Thanks for watching
The coconut drink scene was so real...his face...god what a great piece of acting that was.
Also funny, I played a survival game and when I then watched the movie I suddenly knew where lots of stuff came from, funny experience.
Yes indeed. This man was literally born to act. What an actor.
That is so funny. Similarly I've always heard "Wilson" and so many Cast Away references from different places. It's good to finally see where they all came from
Tom Hanks acting was top-notch - and fortunately so. The film very much rested on his shoulders, and a lesser actor could have ruined the entire film.
When I read "coconut" and "survival game" in the same post, my thoughts immediately go to "Green Hell". 😁
When remembering the movie I always felt the ship saving him was pure luck, it didn't detract from the film but I took it as him accepting an unknown variable just to get off the island. He left the island and it was just good fortune that he got picked up. Upon rewatch he very clearly memorized the shipping routes on the ocean meaning he knew where the ships would most likely be passing. It makes his survival all the more impressive.
Oh my goodness. That makes sense. I'm definitely makes his survival way more impressive
I clicked because I love Tom Hanks & just loved your reaction. Cast Away is one of my favorites & subscribed immediately because of your insights to the film. You should get into the Hanks rabbit hole & for starters react to Big and Swept Away (fantasy), Philadelphia and Road to Perdition (drama), You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle (rom-coms). Good luck!
Another excellent Tom Hanks film is "Captain Phillips" which is based on a true story.
Love your artwork! 🖤
Much love. I always love when people notice ❤❤
@@FrankFreezy_ YOU actually painted that?? Seriously? Those are glorious! 😍
@@Okini_Hasa Yes I did. I record from my studio. My easel behind me is where I paint
🫡 thank you very much
Beautiful work. I didn't realize it was your art. 👍
Yeah, man. Unfortunately I relate to this movie in the fact that I live as if I'm on an island due to health issues. My old friends have moved on and I'm just surviving. Positive message from him at the end about gotta keep breathing.
My heart goes out to you my friend. You're in my thoughts. Keep breathing, I hope and pray for better days ahead❤❤🫂🫂
That hurt my heart. I hope that you’re well today.
A pager was like a cellphone before cellphones. It was a small box people would clip on their belt and it had a screen. People could dial the number to your pager and it would go off telling you someone needs you to call them. You’d get the number off your pager they called it from and you’d find a pay phone or something to then call them back. If I’m not mistaken towards the end you could even send short messsges.
Got you. Thanks
a pocket pager, aka a beeper were devices mostly useful during the use of pay phones; it would alert you that someone is trying to get a hold of you... it would vibrate, or beep and display the number of the person attempting to contact
Thanks
That's one of the most impressive one man shows in the history of movies and one of my all time favourites. Loved your reaction! Thanks for sharing it with us! ✌️😁
I would have to agree. He kept those engage every single scene. Thank you for watching
Great reaction to a great movie that was directed by the same guy who directed Forest Gump just a few years earlier. There was about a year gap in filming so Tom can lose weight and grow his hair/beard out. During this time Robert Zemeckis shot “What Lies Beneath” and used the same crew from Cast Away so they all can still have jobs. Kudos to him.
A pager was a device about the size of a car key fob that sent you short messages on a small black and white display. Cell phones the rise of texting pretty much made them obsolete (they still do exist , mostly in use in hospitals by doctors and nurses)
Well thanks for all that it's wonderful information. Kudos to the director indeed. It's good to know the same director did Forrest Gump. Two wonderful movies
I'm happy I know what a pager is now and that it is still used in the medical system
I love this movie! So glad you released this reaction today. I voted on CZcams for it. Never thought i could get emotional over a volleyball but this movie makes me cry every time. I've officially subscribed to your channel. Much love from Michigan
Wilson was an amazing scene stealer! I'll never forget him screaming out for Wilson and saying I'm sorry🥹 thanks for the sub❤️❤️
💙I really love your reactions. You actually watch the movie, don’t just talk, but actually listen and connect the dots along the way 👏🏾👏🏾…. And just trivia. When the pilots said they were “ditching” the plane, that’s a planned emergency landing on water. They are rarely survivable.
I know it hasn't won the polls but I CANNOT WAIT to watch Philadelphia with you. Some of Tom's best work.
I look forward to it too🙌🏾
I'm so glad I found you and subscribed to you. You still amaze me, Frank. A genuine man, a humble one, and a very good soul. Aside from his classic films which are all fantastic. I also highly recommend you watch A Man Called Otto, it came out in 2022 and it was a beautiful movie. Excellent reaction as always!
Thanks for recommending. That is now on my radar. Thanks for watching :)
I cried when he lost Wilson. A true show of complete powerlessness. Slowly drift away and he could do nothing "I can't"
Me too. Maybe it all came out after that and he truly grieved for the first time.
Love you reacting to all these Tom Hanks movies…I recommend Catch Me If You Can, it’s based on a true story and costarring Leonardo DiCaprio as well. They are both great in it.
And thank you for watching them. I have been loving you these movies a lot. I have seen catch me if you can, but I'll probably couldn't tell you if somebody can about it. I saw it when I was like 10
This is one of my favorite movies! I really enjoyed your reaction and comments throughout! I've seen this reaction and Forest Gump reaction you did and subscribed bc you're very enjoying to watch, you're very insightful and empathetic to the characters you've reacted to as well and that makes for great commentary ❤Thanks for the videos! I remember I was crying so fucking much because of Wilson and my father looked at me like I was stupid. CLEARLY one of us did not get what Wilson represented, DAD.
His performance in Philadelphia is heart wrenching! He’s unbelievable
I'm watching that very soon
47:38 that's what Wilson was talking about 😂

You knocked this one out of the park! Totally enjoyed watching with you! Peace and hugs. 😊
I love to hear that. Many more to come. Much love🫂💜
Thank you for covering one of my top 20 movies all time! I’d love to see your reaction to Philadelphia. Just… wow.
This movie was 100 times better than what I thought it would be. I’m so happy I watched it. Philadelphia is very high on my list.
Another thing I love about Tom Hanks is he and his wife Rita Wilson (just realized like the soccer ball) have remained one of the sweetest couples in Hollywood. They married in 1988.
It is always a joy to see your responses and hear your insight on these movies. You are clearly a very wise person as it comes through in your comments. I thank you for emphasizing “the sun will rise tomorrow, you never know what the tide will bring” [paraphrased]. I recently received some difficult health news and I think I will end each day with that phrase in my head to remind me of hope and positivity. And yes, Wilson became a ‘person’ to everyone who ever saw this film.
The crossroads moment we finish on makes me tear up every time.
It is so powerful. The choice he has. And the little smile at the end before the camera cut to black. Perfection.
Captain phillips, Philadelphia, and otto are three of my favorites, but you just can't go wrong with Tom Hanks. He is a national treasure
14:13 “this is where I jump back into the ocean” 🤣🤣
Facts. One of the best reactions for this movie I've seen. Commenting, edits, and really seeing and remembering things that most don't catch. Really fun to watch.
thank you thank you my friend
I recommend seeing the funny commercial they did for this movie . It is about what was in the package that he delivers at the end😂😂
Actually saw it a few days ago and I was pissed lol
When a movie makes you emotional over a volleyball that’s when you know it’s a good movie
What a great reaction. Cast Away is one of my favourite Tom Hanks movies because he is able to say so much in the role with so little dialogue. One of the things I always enjoy about your insights into the films you watch is your kindness and compassion always shines through with every thought you have. Keep making great content. I look forward to the next movie you react to.
He really gave it his best. I heard he got an Oscar nomination but lost to Russell Crow for Gladiator. I'm glad you enjoyed that about my reactions. I have to find that absorbing stories through that lens usually help me enjoy them more. Thanks for mentioning it. See you in the next video
I like the juxtaposition of the island, where Chuck has no control over his life or even his death, with the crossroads where he is now facing a different kind of paralysis of having too much choice. Sort of like the opposite ends of the tides, different but still the same at their core. In a lot of ways life will just happen and we have to learn to roll with it
A pager was 90s tech before smart phones. You sent your phone number and or a code the receiver understood. It was about the size of a garage remote and vibrated or sounded off when you got a page. They were around thing about the same time MP3 players became a thing.
Aside from any relevant video comments, I just wanted to comment on your art behind you. It looks so beautiful and vibrant! I ADORE the one with the lady in the blue/red head scarf. It’s gorgeous. I'm jealous, my walls look bland at the moment. 😂
I just discovered your videos and have to say that I love your mellow approach to watching the movie. I have subscribed and plan to watch many more.
I have painted a few portraits although it has been quite a few years but the artwork you have is very good. The portrait over your right shoulder, the lady with the light blue/grey headscarf is great. The looseness of your brushwork and the color is very expressive.
a pager is like the first way to send a text message. Your pager could receive a message from a phone call letting you know who was trying to reach you so you call the number that flashes on your pager. For tom Hanks this was a good gift as someone who is traveling around the world she wouldn't know how to contact him without a pager because he would always be using random phones from different hotels warehouses whatever, yeah she didn't like it in the moment but it is a smart gift for them to better keep in contact.
Thanks for explaining
I always thought the “cowboy” comment was a wink and a nod to Toy story!!
Ahhhh I like that🌟
Tom Hanks is one of those actors that can do it all! He makes you feel all of his emotions. 🥲
This is very true. I enjoy him a lot.
Actually, Whales are super smart, so it probably knows that he's not meant to be out here and he's in trouble, maybe it did want to help.
I definitely believe that. Because the whale even woke him up when the ship was arriving

I'm was so surprised I caught it immediately. Such a fun detail
I really love the paintings in your room.
I like your reactions man ur laid back vibe on ur videos help me fall asleep at night i hope you gain as many views as you can get 💯
Tom Hanks got a nasty cut on his knee while filming and since he refused to bathe, he ended up getting a staph infection that lead to sepsis. He spent 3 days in the hospital recovering, but was actually pretty close to losing his life, but they caught it in time. Also, there was no music from the time he was on the island until he escaped the island. It was just the view, him and the island.
Society of the Snow is a survival story as well, but it's based on a true story. Great movie
It’s so nice to watch your reactions 👍🏻 You’ve been watching some great films and I love how your kindness and understanding of each one comes through 😊 Keep shining ✨ Hugs from the UK 🙋🏼♀️ xx 💋 p.s This film shows what a fantastic actor Tom Hanks is, cause he made me cry over a ball! 🏐 And yes, you hit the nail on the head with Wilson being like his only friend and all he had 😢 It’s a very inspiring movie 🫶🏻 I just wish Kelly would have waited for him 💔
Appreciate you a lot. Thanks for your kind words💜 Yeah there's a reason why I've been watching so many Tom Hanks movies. I can't get enough of this man and his incredible acting. rip Wilson. I feel you, in a perfect world Kelly would have waited for him, who knows maybe she did a little bit. But I think to them there was a 0% chance but he survived the crash :(
We all love Tom in his great movies, don’t we, bro? 🥲🥹 much love and a shoulder tap for the emotions from Hamburg in Germany ✌️🍀💚
Yes sir we surely do🥹❤❤ Received🫂Appreciate it. Until next time my friend
@@FrankFreezy_ see you next time my friend :) 🍀❤️
The Man With One Red Shoe is an often overlooked Tom Hanks movie, that is definitely worth checking out. I would also recommend Dragnet.
I love the way you view things from such a unique perspective
Thank you Gary. When the story is really well written, that helps a lot too.
the message i got from him giving her the ring was more her realizing that his job always came first and she would always be waiting for him to commit to her
I subscribed because you seem like a genuinely good person 😊
Many thanks. Thanks for being here
Damn, this is still such a great movie. The loss, the hopellesnes, the loneliness, the new hope... I really like The Martian for a lot of the same reasons.
One of the most amazing things about this movie is that he acted off no living person for the better part of this movie. Not many could’ve done what Tom did. He didn’t win the Oscar that year and I was really upset about it because of the level of skill he showed with that dynamic. (Russell Crowe was fantastic in Gladiator and he did deserve his Oscar, but I still think Tom deserved it more.)
Exactly he did an amazing job acting alone. That was some good competition though. Russell Crowe was legendary in Gladiator
the scene where Wilson drifts away, you can't see him behind the swells, my 9 year old Daughter stood up on the couch, to try to see Wilson between the swells... she lost her 9 year old mind, crying.
You’ll definitely love Apollo 13!
I think so too
You should also add „Road to perdition“ to your Tom Hanks Movie List 🙂
