Bought one 5 years ago, it's really durable and everything works just fine! Never had an issue and have done 80km/h with 2s Lipo and 20t pinion!
Mine has been serving me well for a while too, the only things I've replaced so far were a steering servo, some tyres and a battery.
I have this tiny buggy for about 6-7 years now, made by “tacon”… 100% the same car, im sure its the same manufacturer as well.
Let me tel you, this car is the absolute best rc car ice ever had.
Nothing, I repeat, nothing broke on it (besides tires and rear wing due to my fault)
Im running this car on 2s 2200 mah, speed pinion gear that came with it, its doing-36-38 mph, its a rocket!
The gears, motor, servo, speed control…. Everything is working as new.
And i had very very bad hits, into walls, into metal posts, into side walks- a lot!
This car just keeps on going.
I don’t jump it 20 ft in the air but i do bash it with sense.
I absolutely love it.
I got mine when it was only $189!
Today is close to $300.
My son has the mt (monster truck) version, also by tacon, but exactly the same as the lc racing, identical, it’s absolutely a beast.
Parts are dirt cheap.
And it lasts forever.
Not worrying about motor over heating etc like the big boys…
We get 25-30 minutes of hard full speed of the 2200 mah 2s,
And temperatures are not even close to be hot.
4:54 - so much performance in such a little package

Your comment "get this if you want quality and get this if you want cheapness" is spot on Kev. I have the LC Racing EMB-T, EMB-1 and the 144001 and could not agree more. The truggy is my favorite too.
also, you can get the wing that they have on the truggy, and put that on the buggy, the plastic ones are good, they do fit wltoys/xk aswell

I've got one and I have absolutely bashed the hell out of it and all of broken was the center support and a rear hub and I've had it for about a year now and of course the rear wing

What's good about the nimh is that it has the best handleing. Your not spinning the tires but you still have good speed. 3s seemed too much power to controll
hi kevin. where did you get the adapter from to go from the esc to battery. ive looked high and low and never was able to find one. thanks.
I bought my youngest son a 1/14 Tacon Soar Buggy which is the brushed version of the LC Emb1 and converted to brushless already, have to get some bearings for the wheel hubs!! I picked up a used 1/14 LC Racing EMB-T truggy and almost done fixing the issues with it, has a SW3 brushless esc and a Turnigy 2858 3400kv motor and it seems awesome!!! Can’t wait to get them on the carpet track!!!
It reminds me of the Losi Mini 8ight. Spare parts may be easy to find if it is a sister buggy to the Losi.
I would love to see this with all aluminum upgrades if they have them, or try the Wltoys 144001 with all the upgrades and see what it does!

The XK thats green and blue 5:23 is a model i have! Defined recommend! Goes 50 KM (30 miles) and is affordable.

I have the lc truggy and love it, I also have the xk buggy and used the lc truggy conversion kit to make the xk into a mini truggy, you saw it at Arc racing a few months back its actually on the racetrack with yours and Martins kraton 8s when you done the capacitor video. The truggy conversion on the xk beefs it up a bit. But like you I prefer the lc truggy. I painted mine like my Kraton 6s so it's a mini kraton. 🙂

What a great idea to use hot glue to protect the Speed Meter. I'm just mounting mine under the hood. But I'm going to use that trick to protect on my planes. I was thinking before your run, that's the last time she'll look that nice. lol

Yeeees Iv had one of these for ages and I sent it in the paddlesworth long jump, I run on 2s and it wheelies like a beast, these are amazing for bashing, if you put a 1/10 buggie spoiler on they fly with loads of control 👌🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
looks just like my losi mini 8ight which i turned into a mini outcast lol i just mounted a ecx ruckus 1/18th truck body on it and left the wing its a little ripper
Did you change the Pinion gear ? The Mini T 2.0 brushless 6000kv uses the 15T pinion but the mini B is stock 18T does that make a difference fitting the DYNS0501
Kev, you should take this and the truggy version to the ARC and race it even with the big ones

Watched so many of your videos that I ended up buying 2 RC cars this week. A Big Rock last Saturday...love it. and a little SCX24 today for indoors...love it too. Hours of fun ahead during our frigid canadian winter. Thanks for sharing your "crazyness" mate

Hey kev i just got my first big rc car (arrma typhon) what problems should i expect to see with the car after bashing
A cheap(ish) buggy that I have is the redcat racing tornado epx pro, it's a pretty fast (for a first time hobby rc car) 1:10 buggy, the only problem I've had is some servo problems and then having to replace some of the other steering parts
Would be really cool to see you do a review of it if you ever wanted to

The gears grid out quickly if you use it frequently
looks almost exactly the same the wl toys 124019. With the exception of brushed vs brushless. But that is the same diff housing, suspension , trans , supports and the chassis even looks exactly the same. I will say the body looks nicer than the purple body with the lame and random words all over it
Noticed you addressed this at the end.. But now im wondering if the replacement parts for the brushed car fit in the non brushed one as simple and VERY cheap upgrades.

That looked pretty decent for a beginner. I'd be well happy with that as a first time RC.
wltoys version 100.00 cheaper and can upgrade to brushless...IDK save or spend they are both good options. I went cheap upgraded everything. Spent about the same, more tinkering on the 144001(cheaper) gets u comfortable making upgrades or mods being new to the hobby

You might need an adaptor plug depending on the LiPo that you're running
Do a video on the Toyan L400 engine for your mini engine series.
try the mini e revo vxl it has lots of power i got 101 km out of it on 14.4 volts with 26 gear pinion
