I love these 1/12 & 1/14 buggies & truggi.
Much more interested in racing them than 1/10. I think we need cheaper alternatives to help encourage people to race for fun rather than take it too seriously.... in saying that I do fancy getting a LC10B5.
Glad that he's trying more styles of rc I personally like bashing but it's always great to have a bit of a change

The LC racing EMB-1 is genisis for all the WLtoys, Rlaarlo, Eachine etc.
Best bit, at least for the WL toys 144001/144010 the parts fit...Sway bars!!! Transform how the stock cheapies run and handle.
Wicked little buggies.. with a bit of tuning and good sticky tyres they're fantastic!!

MT10 hands down 3 times stronger than the granite when it comes to bashing and speed and performance. I love arrma but the MT10 is a must-have. I'm sure Kevin will agree.

Love to see LC Racing rigs shown in Kev's channel. They are soo much higher quality than WL Toys but not as popular. They also have a great selection of vehicle types. Plus, all of the 1/14 share the same chassis. If you see a brand names Bulwark or Tacon, that's LC Racing, too.
They are not as popular because they are a lot more expensive. Wltoys are popular because you can get them for under 100$ and the platform can take a lot of upgrades in terms of power.
You should try putting another rear end in the middle of the 100mph on grass car

Kev, there is a 3d printed mount that screws directly into the rear shock tower of the 12b1. I would be happy to send you one if you dont have access to a printer!

Considering the massive price difference that little thing held its own . If allowed in racing , could you chuck a few quid ( not huge amounts of ££ ) at it to make it even closer ?

Lcracing makes great budget cars. I had the truggy for awhile it was great.

I think the tires that weren't good for racing may have been intended for a dirt track. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the pins are too close together for carpet?
Hi Finley, I race a class called GT12. On the indoor carpet tracks, the tyres look like rubber slicks but are a actually a very hard foam.
The additive softens the tyre, giving more grip. Its a but of experimentation getting rhe right grip level.
I reckon you're right - the kit-supplied tyres are probably good for dirt tracks and on-road.

What do you recommend for a 1/10 beginner buggy?
To be honest, if you want a faster little ripper, the WL toys 144001. It's not 1/10th but it's fast, handles well, metal chassis, oil shocks. AND CHEAP. Not to mention it is FAST.
Lc10b5 is cheap and good. It's not the best car available though...
I was going to race but my local club has no 1/12 buggy class so I decided not to (was either spend lots on 1/10 or just keep driving on my garden track with my 1/12 and 1/14 cars)

Obviously because of his age I need something that’s not that fast and something thats durable and that he will have fun using, what RC car do you recommend? He likes wheelie’s and using ramps to jump
