Yes the parents who encourage her, she is just a bundle of talent, the energy, she not only plays the music, she feels it , any musician will tell you that, and that's what a player or a drummer , can you see her in 5 years from now, she plays better than most seasoned artists, she just blew me away the first time I seen her.

I have watched a ton of people react to this video and you're the first one I've seen that caught the relevance of her grabbing a drink... everyone else just looked confused... like they haven't seen the music video...
Great reaction. As others have said, she began drumming at age 15. She started winning drumming competitions a year later, so she was definitely a prodigy. There are CZcams videos out there of her at various competitions. She was a member of a really good Japanese band called Trident. She is now a very in demand session drummer. With very limited live shows in Japan the last couple of years, she probably makes a lot more money doing session work. I bet when touring starts up again full force, another band will snatch her up.
Technically a prodigy is someone doing at a 10 year old or younger doing things at an adult level.
Having said all that, she is amazing !!! Definitely a super talent. She might have been a prodigy too if she started earlier.
@@autohmae I have to disagree. The word "prodigy" has the general meaning of "a highly talented child or youth". The more specific "child prodigy" refers to prodigies that are younger than 10. This distinction acknowledges that the younger the talent develops, the more rare it is. I believe it is accurate to say that Junna was a prodigy while Yoyoka Soma could likely have been considered a child prodigy. Could Junna have been a child prodigy? Possible but unlikely. In japan, a teenage talent like Junna might come along every ferw years. The ability that Yoyoka showed at age 8 is more of a generational talent. Both can currently be considered world class drummers but time will tell if either will be considered one of the best drummers in history. Going from musical prodigy to adult musical genius is even more rare. The club that includes Mozart and Stevie Wonder is a very, very exclusive club.

She was about 20 years when she record this video after 5 years drumming,but she was a originally in charge of percussion in a brass band before that, so she must have been a good rhythmically player, before she started whit the drums :)

Yes, she was born 26 sept 1996 (you can see a picture of her birthday's cake with 25 candles on her twitter this year), and she said in "Cosplay and Drums - Interviewing JUNNA" that she began drumming at the age of 15 (i.e. 2011).

JUNNA looks 13 but she is about 24 ½ now (24 on 8/26/21). People commonly confuse her birthday with JUNNA Sakai the Japanese singer, who was born in 2000, and is about 21. I looked very hard for her birth date year and could not find it. Following is from Trident Members Profile "Birthday: September 26" (no year) and "- She started playing drums at age 15." Age estimate comes from a comment made by a viewer who said he saw her live and asked her how long she had been playing and she said 8 years. (15+8 = 23) that was in mid-late 2020. So her birthday should be 8/26/97.
She's 25 now, not sure, but above 24 for sure. The girl has already a pretty long history. Check Trident band when she was a member.

oh and for your question if my memory is good she started druming at 15 or 16 and here she is between 20 and 22 so let's say at that time she had near to 6 years of drumming BUT before that at school the played percussin in a brass band and we don't know for how long so she is experimented... and she is japanese that too play a role...
